Holiday Inn Memphis Airport - Conf Ctr

The staff here is great. Very friendly. However, the rooms are very old and poorly maintained. In addition, it's right on the approach to MEM. The planes start promptly at 4:00 am and run every 7-10 minutes. I could hear and feel each one as I struggled to sleep. Just terrible.

Put me in a non-smoking room which had a cigarette Station just outside the room effectively making it a smoking room. Disgusting.

close to activities I was attending. Clean and excellent staff.

The only thing that I not like is nothing around if you want to eat

Only stayed here because close to airport. Tried to check in early but no rooms available. Front desk said 1/2 to 1 hour. No problem. Came back 1 1/2 hrs later and no room available. Front desk clerk not very helpful so we unloaded luggage. When I returned 10 minutes later she had found a room so we checked in. Her demeanor not very accommodating. She was going through the motions. When arrived in room noticed an unusual fragrance. A/C unit mounted on wall with connection to thermostat below. Thermostat was loose and easily moved side to side. Wall/ceiling drywall bubbled up, apparently from a leak or humidity. Same for wallpaper next to bed. Nice bar staff, drinks and food...typical. Would not stay here again. Room rate should've been around $60-$75 vs. $110.

Very nice hotel, the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious!

The hotel itself was decent. The staff, with the limited interaction I had with them, was excellent. Respectful, upbeat, accommodating to the best of their abilities. The room....not so great. Walked in to a very musty smelling room. Later that night when getting into bed I found out why, almost 1 full side of the room was SOAKED with water. Not standing water, but the carpeting was saturated. The shower had water pressure variations from a trickle to hard enough to bore through steel. NO hot water. No warm water, maybe, just barely Luke warm water. In a pinch, or a last resort, you will at least walk out alive. But don't expect an overwhelming experience

The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The staff was excellent. the Hotel was close to the airport. Not many choices for food nearby

Extensive remodeling and updates have been made. Some work is still needed. No hot water at 6am, it was cool, not even Luke warm. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Shuttle driver Mike was super nice and helpful. God was good. Great breakfast buffet for $11. Dinner was fine. Bar needs new chairs, too shirt for the bar height and the seats are so old they sag.

Maria at the front desk was not only super friendly, but she was so helpful. We arrived around 9:45 pm and she was able to help us find a restaurant that was still open, Marlow's, and gave us a discount card as well. On top of that she had the shuttle take us both two and from the hotel/restaurant. The shuttle driver Court was also very friendly and gave a tour of the city as well as some history. These two went above and beyond the usually duties of hotel employees and because of them I will stay at this place every time we're in town.

Not what I expected from a Holiday Inn. As a IHG member and Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express frequenter... I was disappointed and a annoyed. I actually felt a little unsafe as a female traveling alone as I walked into this lobby. It was an unpleasant surprise. People in the lobby staring at me as I checked in drinking beers. Just extremely uncomfortable, unpleasant and I felt unsafe. The room had a thermostat that was not functional. I was freezing all night but did not want to switch rooms because I did not want to leave my room.

It was hard to get around with all the construction but the room itself was very comfortable. Modern furnishing and spacious. The shuttle was the reason we stayed there and it worked seamlessly.

This hotel sold our room that we had already paid for to someone else! We paid $139.00 for a room at this hotel over a week before we arrived. We arrived at the airport at midnight and waited over an hour for a shuttle driver to pick us up to take us to another hotel over 1/2 hour away. They only paid $75.00 to the other hotel for our room so basically they made $64.00 off us! If you prepay for this hotel, there is a good chance your room will be sold out from under you! The only positive thing about this entire experience was the shuttle driver. He was very nice.

Good value. Only stayed one night before an early flight. Really easy to get from hotel to airport parking, also offers a shuttle, but for me that was unnecessary. Good place to stop for night

The hotel has a great location and was a great departure point for outings

Great stay. We needed a hotel near the airport w/shuttle service.

We stayed overnight to get back on our trip in the morning. After we booked the room we found some very negative (sometimes nasty) comment about the place. However, we found that got what was expected - a great location near the airport, a nice comfortable room a a decent breakfast (payed separately) in the morning. I strongly recommend this hotel for travelers like us.

Stunning modern design. Rooms are spacious and elegant. Free shuttle to airport. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Only complaint is that upon my second stay the water in the shower was not very hot.

Chose this hotel because I had a morning flight out of Memphis. It was nice, but I'm only giving four stars because I had to ask for a crib five times...and it didn't come until 10:30 pm
