DoubleTree by Hilton Memphis Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

This was a nice hotel in downtown Memphis. They probably need to upgrade the rugs in the rooms soon. The staff was great. The valet service was slow at times, not sure why but other than that it was a good place, I would stay again.

I stayed at this hotel because the Academy of Professional Family Mediators held its conference there. The meeting rooms for the conference sessions individually were fine. Having them all near each other, instead of scattered over four different floors of the hotel, would have been preferable, but the arrangements were good enough. My own room for working, resting, and sleeping was great. It was clean, spacious, and very quiet. The location, near Beale St. and the Belz Museum, is excellent.

Nice and comfortable hotel in downtown Memphis. Check in was quick and front desk staff was very helpful. We decided to stay another night and the lady at the desk referred me to the lobby wifi to book online as I would get a much better rate, very helpful and appreciated. Room was average, small TV and the mattress seemed on the old side as you sank in an wound up in the middle of the bed. Two block walk to Beale St., decent breakfast buffet, and overall safe location. Would stay here again next time I am in Memphis.

The staff was wonderful...so nice and helpful. Great location and the hotel itself was very nice.

Great hotel centrally located. Wonderful staff. Would stay there again.

nice, clean, good location, valet parking was find, cookies at arrival

We had a great time , Hotel staff was excellent . Room as clean and would recommend staying at Double Tree in the future

The stay was very good and the staff was also very nice and helpful.

The front desk so kind, and helpful with down loading and printing my StubHub tickets to grizzlies

Booked because wanted to see famous Peabody ducks and visit Beale Street attractions. Cost was 1/2 of Peabody room. It was OK except for little things, only 1 cup for coffee (double room), and no rod for adjusting blinds. Little things ... Only 5 minute walk to Beale St. restaurants and attractions.

the room was nice, the staff was very accomodating and helpful. Everything was satisfactory and I would definetly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Very comfortable room & very nice and friendly staff

we had fun the hotel staff where very nice. It was very clean and in walking distance of most of downtown Memphis.

Great weekend. Great staff from front desk to valets!

I only stayed one night. I had no issues with the hotel.

This is our 2nd stay at a Double Tree and this stay was exactly what we expected in regards to a good stay. Chocolate cookies on check in are great. The room was attractive and comfortable and clean. Everyone in the hotel was friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating to us. This hotel is located within walking distance to most attractions and next door to the Peabody Hotel which was great for viewing the Peabody ducks. Would stay here again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for her birthday and enjoyed walking to Beale and the baseball field across the street

We never choose to pay top dollar for a hotel because we're out enjoying the local sights instead of spending time in a room. The Doubletree Memphis was certainly a convenient location and met our basic needs. Staff had that charming Southern hospitality and efficiently took care of checking in, valet parking, and room cleaning. But this time we decided to splurge on a larger corner room to assure a nicer view with less hotel noises. Unfortunately, noise from the streets below were extraordinarily loud, and when combined with a too/firm bed and pillows, we had some sleepless nights. I used the Fitness room every day, but was disappointed in its small size and broken equipment. Eating in the Beale Street area is a culinary delight, but be warned if you go to the attached TGI Fridays - brunch was greasy, mushy, soggy, and not worth going just to use a free coupon. One last experience is worth mentioning, and that has to do with our room service. I saved some dessert from a fun night a BB Kings, and left the container on top of my luggage before going out for the next day's events. We are very tidy travelers, making sure we leave our room picked up, and that morning was no exception. When we returned, my dessert was gone! I called the front desk, was routed to a manager, and explained it wasn't a big deal but that they shouldn't take the liberty to throw anything away without asking. The manager agreed it was a good training opportunity, and within the hour I had a room delivery of my dessert. Good save.

Paint was visibly peeling from the ceiling There was MOLD on the shower grout Torn off hook on inside doors For the price of the hotel I expected much more

The hotel and staff as wonderful! We visited the National Civil Rights Museum and Memphis Music Hall of Fame. We also spent a lot of time on Beale street. A very sweet lady at the front desk gave a a few recommendations of where to eat. We have had a wonderful time and planning on visiting Memphis again.
