The Crossley is in a fantastic location at the Spring Street end of Little Bourke. It is surrounded by the sights, smells and sounds of Chinatown and within short walking distance of fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes, The hotel itself is old and could do with a refurbishment. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The shower in the ensuite needs attention - you could not stand underneath the spray as it was directed towards the wall. The mattress in the main bedroom was also a little lumpy. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and helpful.
This hotel was first class. Room was fantastic, very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Location was superb, we walked everywhere very comfortably and close to transport and fine dining. Definitely coming back.
It is a nice hotel for its price being so close to the CBD. Really enjoyed the continental breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.
We were meeting a number of friends in china Town for a dinner and the Crossley was so very convenient being next door to our restaurant. The room was spacious and spotless, with the added bonus of just walking next door at the end of the night.
We found the location to our venue excellent. There was also numerous restaurants and cafes nearby within walking distance. The only distraction for the hotel was plumbing was a bit noisy from adjoining rooms.
Can't fault the Crossly. Always great service, nice rooms and perfect location. This time we had an unexpected but very welcomed complimentary upgrade. Thank you for making our weekend away so special!!
The Crossley is centrally located, compact and very friendly hotel. Rooms are generously sized and the view I had from the 6th floor was quite spectacular. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and lent me an umbrella for Melbourne's capricious weather as well as offering good advice about travelling around nearby. Breakfast is simple but fresh, and the hotel was extremely helpful in storing my luggage on arrival. Price is also a factor here: other hotels in this area are considerably pricier in my experience, so good service at a good price will do for me. Will stay again.
We loved staying at the Crossley. The room was clean and tidy. Unfortunately there was really nowhere to hang your towels. That is about the only thing that we can say. Unfortunately there was roadworks out the front and down the road - which was out of The Crossley's control. We loved staying here. The breakfast was good, we could help ourselves to tea and coffee at anytime of the day or night. The bed was so comfortable. There isnt really anything we can say that was bad. Thanks for a great stay!!!
Arrived in the early hours of the morning but was welcomed and checked in a very professional manner. The room was on the lower floor as requested but unfortunately work was being carried out on a neighbouring property even during the night which was not the best for getting to sleep. However the location of the hotel was very good for access to the tram system for getting around and also for restaurants. The breakfast offered by the hotel was also very good and would be recommended. The only issue that was raised was that the carpet in the room was not as clean as should be expected. The hotel was apologetic and stated that upgrading of the rooms was in the process of being had been commenced and was being worked through the hotel. Overall we had a good break at this hotel and would be more than happy to use this hotel again. The staff were all very helpful and more than willing to help with everything.
Although a small Hotel great Breakfast, friendly staff, on the door step of China Town, many great places to eat here good chinese and German Restaurants in close proximity of The Crossley Hotel.Transport ready available close by.
