When Tony was flown from Albury to Melbourne in a serious condition for treatment at St. Vincent's Hospital, Joy travelled to Melbourne from Wodonga so that she could be near the hospital when Tony was operated on, and during his recovery. Reception was extremely helpful and very understanding. The place was spotless, and a supermarket and restaurants were just over the road. The bed was very comfortable and all facilities in the apartment were in good order, with a nice bathroom and great shower. Tony stayed at the apartment the day he was released from hospital. Highly recommended
I had the privilege of having a short stay at these Apartments as a family member was hospitalized in the area. I found the apartment was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly from Reception to cleaning staff. The apartments are close to many hospitals in the area and walking distance to the MCG. There are trams a block away that will take you into the CBD. Fitzroy Gardens are close by. The apartment was well equipped with all that you would need including pots and pans, cutlery, crockery and glasses to name a few of the items. Beds were comfortable and clean.
Had to be close to the Eye and Ear hospital, be a good price, and have a kitchen. This ticked the boxes. We stayed in the premier serviced apartments. The kitchen was good, however, no oven made it a little difficult. You have two hot plates to use which was fine for us (as well as a microwave, kettle, toaster). I slept on the sofa bed and found it very comfortable and more than enough blankets are provided. There is free wifi and you have an allowance of 4gb. If you run out, another 4gb is provided, free of charge, by the very friendly staff. The staff are very helpful and kind. There is an IGA directly across the road which is pretty much a God send! There is also a fish and chip shop and a pizza restaurant across the road. All free to air channels are there as well as three fox channels. The Fox channels aren't all that good quality, though. Also, I believe I saw advertised online of a gym, except I could not find one. I definitely recommend this.
We chose albert heights because it is close to the mcg and rod laver arena, also close by are pubs and some great little restaurants. The helpful staff helped with any enquires. Comfortable furniture and bedding were good after a big day
We booked this accommodation at these apartments because of its location to the city & the MCG Ground / Aussie Rules went to game on Sat.night great entertainment during the evening. Apartment was situated just east of the city & close to Fitzroy Gardens - worth a walk thru with lovely paths & beautiful gardens to admire the layouts. Room that we had was comfortable but needed to be updated with new appliances, cutlery etc. As regards the bathroom it could do with some maintenance as well, upgrade hotwater system !! & lighting in the toilet. Bedroom was comfortable with plenty of storage in it. The building overall is in need of a general refurbishment throughout as it looks tired. Found staff to be very helpful & courtesy at all times during our stay in Melbourne.
Albert heights serviced apartments Picked this spot due to its close proximity to the Epworth Freemason Hospital, it's just around the corner approximately a 3 minute walk and they are very accommodating, they let me leave my car parked at apartments after checkout and pick it up when I had finished at the hospital. We stayed in apartment 20 which was a deluxe app at the back of the complex which meant it was quiet. It consisted of 4 rooms a small kitchen with two hot plates a microwave and a small fridge and a small breakfast bar that seats 3. The next room was a modern bathroom with two sinks and a large shower and a separate toilet. The next room is a small lounge room with a tv, a chair and desk area, a pull out sofa and a 2 seater chair and a split system heater/air conditioner. The pull out sofa wasn't the most comfortable. Then the final room is the bedroom, we had twin beds, they were quite small but they did the job and there was plenty of wardrobe space with another split system on the wall. It was easy to find with plenty off street car parking which is complementary. Just across the road in the arcade is a fish and chip shop, a bar, a pizza restaurant, cafe and an IGA. We are at the fish and chip shop and cafe and both we're very good. There are two steps up to the elevator and then you walk along an outdoor balcony to access your apartment. A short walk to tram stop. $160 for three people which included a discount because we were hospital patients. It was a hot day when we arrived so it was nice to have the air conditioning already on for us and a jug of cold tap water in the fridge. Great value very clean modern apartment.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean, quiet and comfortable self contained apartments within walking distance to a lot of attractions. We stayed here for a week 12mths ago and parked our car and walked or caught the tourist tram around the city, visiting as many sights as possible. The convenience of a supermarket, fish & chips shop etc opposite Albert Heights apts is a great find. This time we stayed 3 nights after returning from Tasmania, once again enjoying the beautiful city of Melbourne. Would recommend staying here.
It has nice rooms, more than what we need, we took trams to the CBD. The staff there were very friendly and helpful, even made a phone call to VIC tram service department and checked the operating timetable of trams for us. The only downside is some people smoking in the central garden.
The highlight of my stay were the staff, super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had off street parking available despite being fully booked that night. The rooms are older but were clean and the aircon worked well. It's in a great location and I think it well priced for what it offers. Would stay again.
Check-in was easy and fast. I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite, which was fairly nice. I liked the artwork on the walls. The sofa, chairs and bed were all very comfortable. It is an older-style building and some of the facilities are a little bit dated. Otherwise, the room was clean, comfortable and spacious. There is an arcade across the road with a good variety of shops (fish & chip shop, convenience store, pizza place). The only gripe I had was that it was a bit of a walk to the nearest tram and train station. Overall, however, a very pleasant experience and would definitely stay again.
