Clean spacious rooms ideal for our daughters wedding to host our 2 families. Close to Our venue Spring Lake Winery. Perfect place to get ready for the big day. Conveniently locate to coffee shops, pubs and a place for a cocktail.
Great location to walk around Medina and cycle along the Erie Canal. Room was exactly as described in a very interesting building (shirt manufacture). Simple and easy to check-in to the room (note: no elevator, so pack light!) BTW: the towels are really fluffy. The cafe in the building is a great place to grab a coffee, breakfast and meet the locals. Medina is looking like a place on the rise with the major renos at the Opera House and Calvary Tabernacle Assembly building.
Came into Medina for a wake very close to this hotel. Andrew was amazing (although we never met him). You book your room online and the day you check in they send you a code for the doors. He upgraded our room to a 2 bedroom loft! It was beautiful and so spacious. So stylish too! Very affordable.everything you need is in the room! Fully loaded kitchen.huge living room and dining area.Very private too! Loved our stay. and will be back! Thank you Andrew.
The room was retro, tastefully done with authentic period pieces that embellished the atmosphere of the room and hotel. I would recommend this one-off hotel as a must stay to all my friends and relatives, the Hart House Hotel Rocks!!!
My mom and I stayed at the Hart Hotel for a short family visit to Medina. She stayed in Hope and I stayed in Astor. We had a few minor hiccups but owner Andrew was immediately available to assist and resolved things right away. The rooms were absolutely lovely and well appointed with toiletries and a mini fridge. The location is perfect for walking around downtown and the delicious coffee shop downstairs was adorable and convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again for our next visit to Medina.
Immaculate affordable stylish lodging near village center. Check in was easy. Walkable to dinner and shopping. Very private. Could hardly tell there were other guests present. Great option for breakfast in nearby cafe. Would definitely stay again.
We were in Medina for a wedding and stayed 2 nights. Truly enjoyed our stay! We had a couple small concerns which Andrew addressed immediately. He was attentive and answered his phone when we called. Medina and the surrounding areas are absolutely worth a visit if you enjoy history and small town America. We visited the Bread basket, the book store, 3 local places to eat, Della’s chocolate, Double dips, the barber shop. We also visited the Medina Culvert and Lockport NY. All worth our time. We would have loved to stay a couple more days. Our room was beautiful, clean and we would surely stay again! Thank you.
This hotel was a beautiful place to stay. Our room (photography room) was comfortable with a king size bed, chairs and a small desk tucked away. The bathroom was lovely but offers no tub if needed. The main challenge is that the rooms are on the third floor and currently there is no elevator, so these rooms are not accessible to those with mobility issues. You have easy control of the air conditioner and there is a mini fridge in the room. There was no check in procedure as they texted us a key code to get into our room, so we never met the staff. We were sad to arrive after the downstairs meadery was closed and hope they consider extending its hours. We arrived by bicycle and were able to lock up to a bicycle rack right outside the hotel.
This is a restoration ongoing. If climbing two sets steps of stairs 21 each to get your room, is a physical challenge for you, this hotel is not for you. Their is no elevator. Our room was neat, clean, a great shower and bath and kitchenette. However in spite of our rooms recent renovation, the mattress was sub par, the right side of the mattress had a significant tilt right to left, like someone very heavy had slept on the right side. Great onsite free parking was a plus, as was the attached Mead Shop tavern and the attached coffee, sandwich shop by day, cocktail and small plate lounge during the evening.
Traveling from Michigan to the Southern Tier, staying at Hart House overnight was a great choice. Super clean, charming, stylish and full of history. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone. Only negative was no elevator (yet). Anyone with mobility issues would have issues getting up to a room. I understand this is being worked on though.
