Captain's Cove is primarily a fisherman's motel and that's why my group of 8 were there. I would rate the rooms as "Pleasing". Everything was function and the rooms clean. Maid service did not include cleaning coffee pots or sinks. Why my review is "Disappointing" was that I called days before our arrival to inquire about cooking possibilities. I was told there was an outside gas grill. Turned out to be all rusty, unsafe, one of the top grill's & the bottom was missing. Any grease fell directly on the wooden deck below. Gas Tank was empty and garbage can by the grille was full of maggots. Called the Owner, voicemail. Called Manager, she said she couldn't do anything because she was 45 minutes away. Owner finally called back. When I told him about my problem, he told me three times, "That if you don't like it, go somewhere else". He also said it was my responsibility to fill the tank. I asked if I could pay him $20 to use one of his rooms with a kitchenette to cook my food. He said he wouldn't do that either.
It was a beautiful setting. But the walls were very thin and our neighbors had us up all night. I think they stopped talking at 5 am and we had to be up at 6 am. The window could barely lock and it’s a motel so we were ground floor and there were bugs in our room. One big one right on my pillow.

Thanks for your input - I will definitely get the window locks upgraded!
