DONT USE HÔTELS.COM OR STAY AT HAMPTON INNS

Got to hotel at 1 AM. They told us our room was canceled. We showed them confirmation and said we did not cancel and we were never notified. Hotels.com said the reservation was not canceled. Front desk said they had a room and tried to charge us $260. I said we are not paying anymore than what we originally paid since we did not cancel the reservation. So she said okay and lowered the rate. She then said she had to double check that the room was clean before giving us the keys. She went upstairs and said the room was dirty and she had to take care of the other guest then she would go clean it herself (because housekeeping wasn’t there AT 2AM at this point) We left after being LIED FOR 1 HOUR STRAIGHT AT 2 AM

Everything in general was terrific! The staff were VERY Helpful and made us feel welcome. Cookies and soup upon arrival was a great surprise. The only negative was the condition of the bathroom. There were loose tiles because the grouting was not working. This made a dangerous situation because of slipperiness getting out of the shower. We had to cover the floor with towels to keep from slipping.

My room smelled horrible like an old shoe. Please shampoo, carpets or wash curtains. Or wash linens. Shower and mold crevices of doors. Most nights noise level was decent one night had a loud group above us making noise till about midnight and then decided to get up at 7 AM and started all over again.
