Best Western Pioneer Inn

Our room was pretty small and too close to Front street and the late night noise.

Nice place. Great location. Directly across from harbor if planning a cruise. Downtown historical Lahania within walking distance great food and shops. We did not have an ocean view, but our lanai opened up directly onto the very dirty pool. We checked in about 8 p.m. and by morning the pool was crystal clear. The open air courtyard had trees, thus the falling leaves and twigs dirtying up the area, but the friendly staff were present during the day maintaining the grounds. Upon checking in there was a performance (one man show) off of the lobby. The show was already in progress so we couldn't go in but the manager came out to tell us to keep it down because our conversation (me and the clerks) was disrupting the performance. No joke. The "free" parking was a block and a half away and was also public pay parking, so the spots limited and in no way being guarded. But alas our Kimos rental did not get broken into. While old the rooms have been recently updated and were comfortable.

Had a problem with single bed. Paid a lot of money for a uncomfortable bed. Will not do this again. Unacceptable

Only place in town. Small, clean and comfortable.

Love the location and it's walking distance from shops, tourist attraction and lots of wonderful restaurants. If you like the vintage feel, this is the place. The rooms are on the second floor above the local shops. Pack light as you have to carry your bags up two short flights of stairs. The room is decent and comfortable. This hotel has eco friendly practices with the updated plumbing to minimize water waste, the TV remote is eClean.

Staff is friendly, restaurant has good food and the beds are super comfy!

If you want to stay in a comfortable and convenient spot in bustling Lahaina, the Pioneer Inn is the perfect place. Pleasant island style rooms with lanais, an on site restaurant, helpful staff and free parking make this reasonably priced hotel a real find.

It os the right place for a few nights close to shops. Nightlife and a short drive to best beaches

Located at the Banyan tree straight across from the harbor. If you are looking to do "all things Lahaina" this place is for you. Funky, no frills, small but clean rooms, good aloha. No beeches in Lahaina to speak of. Given the location, I'm surprised how quiet the room was really. Okay for a night or two but lots of resorts in west Maui offer lots more in amenities if traveling with family. Personal preference is that we prefer to stay north of Lahaina near Honokowai and visit Lahaina for a few meals and shopping rather than vice versa.

Nice time very centrally located .Have stayed a few times ,very helpful employees.

The hotel is a great location for being in the middle of everything you may want to see in town. The whale watching boat tours were just right outside the door at the marina, the largest banyan tree in the world just across the street, and all the shopping & restaurants just a block away. The hotel was fairly clean, there were some very tiny ants in our bathroom sink, and the coffee was not refilled when we got in. Other than that it was a delightful stay.

While the room was not the cleanest, the location and friendly staff more than made up for it. Right on the wharf, next to the Banyan Park, and walking distance to loads of restaurants and shops.

Only thing missing was the ocean view. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I am not the type that enjoys big brand hotels. This one felt more like a local hotel, and it is right in the center of the historic Lahaina town. There many places that are walking distance. I enjoyed staying there for 2 nights.

This hotel is well worth the price, but is a no frills stay. Great location if you do not want easy beach access.

First off- Katherine checked us in and helped us each day. She is so friendly and obviously enjoys her work. The location is perfect for shopping, great view of a sweet sunset over the beach and watching huge ships. Shopping galore right out the back door. On the main street. Places to eat around and a Burger King if on a tight budget. Has a nice balcony. Most important thing is that the room and building is incredibly clean.!! The room was VERY small- we had 2 twin beds so not alot of room for suitcases. Queen bed would have been better. Oh- no elevator to the 2nd floor. But it was worth it. would stay again. the pool was warm and also clean. She gave us many tips on where to go sightseeing, snorkeling, shopping, eating, etc. A friend told me to go there, and she was spot on!!

The hotel is located right on snug harbor. The room was a little small, but has a very nice large deck that looks into the old banyan tree. Walking distance from all the great shops and food lahaina has to offer. Not great for beach going, but there are lots of good beaches nearby. I would definitely stay here if I went back!

Great hotel, old world ambiance. Great price. This hotel is older but they keep it updated and clean. The restaurant adjoining the hotel is good and reasonable . Try the princess dinner cruise while your there.

Our one night stay at Best Western Pioneer Inn was just the perfect start of our Maui vacation. We had a room with a balcony overlooking Front Street. It was so pleasant to wake up early and sit on the balcony with a hot cup of coffee.

They were efficient. It was in a perfect location. The room was spotless. It had a fun balcony that overlooked the fun shops of Front St.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. I do apologize that you were not able to attend the one man show and also for the actions of the actor's agent on the evening of your arrival. We will ask him to remember how important our spirit of Aloha is to all of our guests
