Situated in the centre of the high street, so easy access to Heights of Abraham and Illuminations. Paula and Shaun are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean, good breakfast selection beautifully cooked.

The location was simply perfect, with a lovely proximity to all the eateries and amusements in the area, as well as the walks and scenery. Our room was clean, warm and spacious and we all slept very soundly (better than at home)! The breakfast was perfect, exactly the right amount to kickstart our days with a lovely selection too. The hosts were so kind and hospitable and went above and beyond to accommodate us, as well as give us great advice and information about the local area. Would absolutely recommend!

Great base to explore Derwent Valley

Lovely four night stay at this wonderful guest house in Matlock Bath. Paula and Shaun were excellent hosts: greeted us on arrival, fed us well and shared local knowledge of things to do, where to walk and places to eat etc etc. We would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay and great hosts

What a lovely place to stay and amazing hosts, so warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious and spotless with a lovely view of the river and high st. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We had a delightful couple of nights here and very much enjoyed the breakfasts. We would definitely return and recommend to anyone who wishes to stay in Matlock Bath.

A fantastic stay!

Fantastic stay in every aspect. A beautiful guest house, run by the lovely Paula and Sean who were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked to order. A visit to Ashdale Guest House is thoroughly recommended!

We arrived at the Ashdale Guest House to a lovely welcome by the owner. The whole Guest house is warm and clean. Our room was very spacious with all that you need for a comfortable stay. The Breakfast was amazing. We will stay at this Guest house again.

Excellent bed and breakfast in Matlock Bath

The property and the room were exceptional. The owners were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was great with excellent choice. Location for Heights of Abraham, Matlock Bath centre, Gullivers theme park and bus links was perfect. Loved it and would totally recommend it here especially for families.
