Excellent Hotel- we were travelling on business but if there on vacation, it's my place to stay now in Marseille. All of the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful, from the manager down to the ladies who make up the rooms. And, a very important point- the room is VERY QUIET. Despite my room facing the busy avenue, the insulated windows were perfectly sound dampening. The beds are so comfortable we almost were late to a meeting ! They have a good restaurant -- check and see if Pierre is there- he will insist on showing off his excellent English even though you may be perfectly conversant in French. He was very accommodating and made our 2 meals there an excellent experience. Merci beaucoup !
The hotel is well situated for work at any of the port areas, and plentiful shopping is very close by. The tram is also close at only a one block walk. The parking lot was somewhat difficult to find, and walking out of the garage to the hotel was perplexing - many exit signs, but no exits (we ended up walking through a kitchen to get out). Our room on the north side of the building (away from the road and port) was quiet and clean. The hotel restaurant was very good and reasonably priced - the service was excellent. The TV in the room received a few English speaking channels, which was nice. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low - much lower than in the bathroom sink. The bed was comfortable even if the pillows were a little soft.
