The hotel itself was very nice, clean, comfortable, and well located. The facilities and amenities were excellent, and I appreciated the convenience and comfort during my stay.
At check-in the night before, the lady at reception was extremely kind and helpful. I asked if it was possible to stay until 12:00 instead of the usual 11:00 checkout since we had traveled from far, and she graciously agreed. She made me feel welcomed and treated me with warmth and respect.
Unfortunately, the experience the following day was quite different. When I went to check out at 11:45, the man at the desk was unfriendly and told me off for not checking out at 11:00. He mentioned extra charges for staying until 12:00 or later, although eventually he said I didn’t have to pay. His tone felt cold and unwelcoming. When I asked about my complimentary VIP drinks, instead of explaining kindly, he analyzed my card and then pointed me to the bar without much courtesy.
This contrast in treatment left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. I couldn’t help but wonder if my experience would have been different had I been of another background. A smile, a thank you, or simply being asked how my stay was would have made a big difference.
