I stayed here for almost 3 weeks and the staff was extremely courteous and friendly during my entire stay! My room has a great view. I want to send a special Thanks to Julia and Mary for making my stay feel very comfortable and welcoming to Marseille. Wish you all the best and hope to see you in the future! Take care, Joe

this is your typical budget hotel but with a few perks: big rooms (suites) ideal for families, microwave and small fridge in the room, bamboo divider for privacy between queen bed and lounge area/2 single sofa beds, nespresso machine. this particular hotel is steps away from the metro and major shopping areas. lots of restaurants and about a 15-20 min walk away from the old port. i was here for a work trip and it was extremely convenient and easy. the breakfast is pricey for what you get, i ate there one day but easily had better at half the price at places close by.

Very clean hotel, friendly and helpful stuff, tram stop in front of the hotel. Rooms (suites) are big and really comfortable. Easy access to the city centre. Next to the shopping mall. I think it is perfect hotel for weekend trip to Marseille. I really recommend it.

Stayed on a 4 day work trip The check in was friendly and easy. I got a room with balcony on the first floor. Shame there wasn't one available on higher floors. Nevertheless it's a nice view of the cruise ships which were docked there. The breakfast is odd on the plastic plates and trays - it feels a bit like a fast food place. Neither can one find an English breakfast but the quiche made up for it.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Selected this hotel because I am a Platinum member of Accor Group who tend to have solid hotels and give me the service because of my membership status. Upon checking into the hotel there was only 1 employee (bald lady/man) at the reception desk who was on the phone. I stood in front of her for a good 20 minutes to check me in but she did not even acknowledge me existence. Eventually I just sat down in the lobby. After she hangs up the phone she continues doing stuff on the computer and didn't even bother to apologize or at least acknowledge that I was trying to check in. At the end again I had to go up and stand in front of her to be checked in. Upon entering my room I realized there was no balcony even though I had requested for it in my reservation and I saw pictures of it when I selected the room. When I called the same employee at the reception she rudely state "No, sorry I have a full hotel tonight. Not possible. Bye" and hung up. Wow... She was almost making it seem like she was doing me a favor after I've paid 150 Euros for a night. I decided to stay here because this is supposedly a Novotel hotel. But I will rather stay at the Best Western down the road where even though the rooms are slightly smaller, but the staff is more welcoming and the rooms are a lot more modern. Pathetic service and really understaffed hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff, very big fully equipped room, we enjoyed a drink at the bar, The Dock complex is a short walk away lot's of shops bars and restaurants a very lively place. Close to the underground we had a day trip to Casis on the train. The hotel is great for a few nights and would use again.

It was March 2015 when we decided to spend the Christmas in Toulouse and Marseille and accordingly, we booked in Novotel Suites Marseille Centre Euromed a room for 3 persons for 4 nights. We reached Marseille St Charles station rail station from Toulouse on 31th December 2015 and came to the hotel by taking underground number 2 (direction BOUGAINVILLE )and got down at Joliette Station. We took Metro ticket at 1.60 euro each from the automatic ticketing machine. The hotel was about 5 minutes walking from the metro stop. Initially we had trouble to locate the hotel however we found later, that it was just opposite to the Tram(T2 and T3) stop and thus easy to find out by following the tram line and the stop which was visible from the Metro station. We got the suite number 209. It was a big room with a dining table, 2 cabinets, one double bed with pullover bed and another single bed, 2 chairs, TV, Micro oven, a small fridge, Tea maker and cups. The suite had a nice balcony facing bay and it had a small table with a chair for relaxing. The toilet was ok. Housekeeping was good and they cleaned up every day. Location wise, the hotel was perfect. It was much closed to Joliette station as well as opposite to hotel was tram stop for T2/T3 trams. We purchased a 3 day pass for 10.80 euro each from the automatic machine at the tram stop by using Credit card for unlimited travel in Marseille. We did the following excursions ourselves. Although it has no relevance with Hotel review, still I am writing it to provide guidance to fellow tourists: Day 1 : Local trips in Old Port area, Mucem, Fort Saint Jean, Castle, Monument(from hotel by Tram T3). In the afternoon, we took Bus 60 from the Old port area and went to see Notre Dame De La Basilica. Day 2: Took early morning train to Avignon Centre. We selected 07-10am train from Marseille St Char and reached at Avignon Centre station at 8 -18 am. From the rail station, we took A 15 bus at 08-45 am to Pont du Gard . The fare was 1.50 euro one way.(Remember, the next bus was at 1140 am and thus we took early morning train to have some time for uncertainties. Bus reached at Vers Pont du Gard at 09-24am. At 1-30pm, we left the area, walked back to the bus stand and took A15 bus again at 2-10pm to reach and see Avignon. We returned back to Marseille by evening train. Day 3: From Port area, you may take ferry for Chateau DIF(it was closed during our visit due to moderate tide) and come back to Port again. We took Bus 83 from Port area for Prado and got down at some beautiful sea beach). While coming back, we got down at La Phero, Saint Nicolas Fort and back to Port area again. Next, we took Bus 55 to St Victor Church and then visited Accoules Bell Tower. Then we walked to Vieille Charite and walked to Sacre Cceur Basilica. Day 4: We took Line 2 Metro to go to St Charles station took Navette bus to Airport which took 20 mins to reach MP2 terminal at about 13 euro each.

Breakfast amazing. Bedrooms are really clean. (It's actually the first Novotel that I've seen that clean!!). The view has nothing in particular but the hotel is near to the city center. A special thank you to the housekeeper lady (Dorothy) that was very professional, helpful but also super funny! I will definitely come back on my next visit in Marseille !

It's my 2nd time to Marseille and this time, I was with another couple and a 16 month infant! Very challenging to look for hotel where suitable for this combination. Novotel at Marseille located 5min drive from Vieux port, as we were driving, it's not difficult to commute. The hotel has parking space right which is about Euro 25 per day. Very modern and comfortable, it's located at sort of commercial area with office buildings around, therefore it's very quiet and safe at night. At the back of the hotel there's a huge shopping and office building - Les Docks. We spent almost everyday our breakfast there and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Great service and they prepared us a baby bed which was quite rare. There's a huge balcony that you could see the coastline from there. Room was spacious, well equipped, and most importantly, clean. I would definitely pick this hotel again if i ever go to Marseille!

Stayed in the hotel for 4 nights late in September with my mother for a short holiday in Marseille.. The room was spacious compared to what you normally get for the same rates. The separate bath and shower was nice but there was only one rail to hang a towel to dry so when there is more than one person using the room you need to either hang the second towel to dry on the shower door or be more creative. The room had a small refridgerator, microwave, nespresso machine and a water boiler so perfect for when you have little snacks stored for later. The bed was big and comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was what one would expect from a continental breakfast and the breakfast area somewhat small so in the tourism peak times I imagine it could get somewhat crowded. The staff of the hotel was friendly and the receptionists were very helpful with all the questions I had on where to find what and how the public transportation works in the city. The receptionists also spoke rather fluent english. The hotel is located in a newer looking part of Marseille and is in a walking distance to most sights and a big shopping center called Les Terrasses du Port is 8 minute walk away. There is also good access to public transportation from the hotel. A tram stop (Euroméditerranée Gantès) is right infront of the hotel entrance and then there is a metro stop (Joliette) about 500 meters south. Overall the hotel is well located and priced with spacious rooms and friendly staff.
