We arrived at night, and we immediately regretted booking 3 nights in Marseille, especially in this location, and especially at this hotel. The bus driver that dropped us off seemed surprised that we were visiting Marseille, and he warned us that there are pickpocketers and other thieves who rip jewelry and bags right off of you. As we approached the hotel, his warning seemed accurate because there were lots of suspicious people around, most looking at us, some begging for our change, and then the person at the front desk said that there would be a code at the front door at night (for security purposes). Once inside the hotel, we noticed that the lobby ceiling light was malfunctioning like a strobe, the elevator was tricky to use, and there were more stains on the carpets and ceilings than I've ever seen in a hotel before. Our room's door handle / lock was loose and seemed about to fall off (not secure). Our microwave didn't work, and they said they were unable to repair it. Missing smoke detector. The air conditioning (with no digital thermostat) seemed to be a decoy because it didn't actually get cold. The shower got hot but had quite weak water pressure / volume. The "kitchen" had very little room and nowhere to eat other than the desk. The folding chair was missing half its paint, and other furniture was broken. The good parts: the room got darker than any other hotel room I've had, which was good for sleeping. It was quiet. Staff seemed friendly & spoke some English.
Staff was friendly and very helpful, rooms were spacious and clean. Lovely place to stay.
We had a nice enough room. There were difficulties with the shower spraying everywhere, and it was hard not having cleaning (that we didn't have to pay for), but all in all it was a good stay.
Well located, between the railway station (St-Charles) and the Vieux-Port. The neighborhood is OK, but not more than that. Modern "aparthotel", with spacious rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. Prices are reasonnable. There are food stores all around, so you can also cut on restaurant spendings. Friendly staff.
It was a nice experience and i would like to repeat it.
The Apartment/hotel had friendly and helpful service. They helped us in locating our luggage (which was lost for 2/3rds of our stay in Marseille. I would recommend this facility but would not recommend anyone to visit Marseille. Very sad because upon visiting Marseille you can tell it was once a beautiful and wonderful place to visit.
