I totally agree with all of the wonderful things that the other reviewers have said about Riad Kaiss. Our eight day stay was truly phenomenal. Like other reviewers, my husband and I have stayed in many places but we have never experienced the hospitality and attention to detail that we enjoyed at Riad Kaiss. Our own personal genies, the manager Valentina and her staff went out of their way to ensure that our every wish was granted. Many times, they knew what we wanted before we did! The Riad is located in the medina within easy walking distance to everywhere. It is surprisingly quiet, beautiful and comfortable. We were given a free upgrade from our originally booked rooms at Dar Anika to a suite with a secluded and peaceful private terrace in Riad Kaiss. The food at Riad Kaiss was amazing, as was our dinner at Dar Anika. Here are some highlights of our experience at the riad. On our arrival, Valentina sat on our terrace with us as we sipped Moroccan mint tea, getting to know us so that she could optimize our experience at the riad and in Marrakech. We were presented with a cell phone and encouraged to call her day or night if we needed anything. In response to my query about tipping, Valentina assured me that the staff was well paid but if I did want to leave a gift to be shared with the members of the team at the end of our stay it would be very much appreciated but not expected. What a great way to handle gratuities and of course we happily left a gift. In the morning, we ate breakfast on our terrace, serenaded by birds. Breakfasts were amazing. Mohammed and/or another member of the team would arrive with a tray overflowing with food. A white table cloth would be laid on the table and the food and dishes ceremoniously arranged. Breakfast consisted of breads, crepes, jams and honey, fruit cups, freshly squeezed orange juice, soup, coffee, tea, and more. And once all this food was laid out, we were asked what we would like for breakfast! I recommend the Moroccan omelet. (Valentina assured me that any food not eaten was distributed to those who were in need.) When we walked to a nearby restaurant at night, we were accompanied to and from the restaurant by one of the team in spite of the area being very safe. One day, our trip to the souk resulted in two heavy dishes which my husband hauled back to the riad. When Mohammed learned what we had done, he told us we should have called and he would have sent someone to carry our load for us! Whenever we returned to the riad, we would spend time talking with Valentina and whoever else was in the cozy reception area, including one of the owners. Never once did they give the impression that we were imposing and we very soon felt as if we were all family. Riad Kaiss itself is lovely but it is the management and staff who make it truly awesome. You do truly owe it to yourself to stay here if only for a few days. My husband and I will certainly be back.

This was a perfect stay in the middle of bustling Marrakech, peaceful, idyllic and beautiful! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and gave good tips for haggling in the souks. It is literally a five minute walk from the main square- so location is fantastic. The welcome of tea and biscuits while you check in was a lovely touch and the personal touches in the room were lovely. 100% recommend to anyone and we can't wait to go back!

The service was just Superb! Valentina was a great host, very caring and warm. Mhammed, the night manager spoiled me with a wonderful breakfast on the sunny terrace; highly professional, kind, discrete and always smiling; one of the smartest service I ever had and I do travel quiet often. The Hammam experience was top. I found Riad Kaiss very beautiful and authentic with the best ever location in Marrakech. I should add that the dinner at the sister Riad Anika was a vey pleasant surprise with great authentic flavours and spices. I left with a very sweet memory and I sincerely thank all the team who treated me so nicely; I wish I could stay longer... I highly recommend this place. I.F from London

We honestly didn't want to leave. Valentina is an amazing, thoughtful and charming manager, who makes guest so welcome, that you instantly feel at home. Every possible need is looked after, often before you even realize it. All of the staff are wonderful - courteous, helpful and friendly, and they are really what elevates this riad to something quite special. Of course it's comfortable, incredibly beautiful and tasteful - and in a perfect location, walking distance from all the key points of interest in Marrakech, but it's the care and consideration shown by the staff that make Riad Kaiss an exceptional place to stay in Morocco. The rooms are very comfortable, ours was small but perfectly appointed, with a great bathroom. We'll definitely be back.

I have stayed in Marrakesh many times, but this was truly the best experience I've ever had from a stay in Riad. The staff were amazing and very helpful, they organised my daytrip to the Atlas Mountains which was very special and perhaps highlight of my stay, nothing was too much trouble for them. Also they pointed me in the right direction for the wonderful nightlife that Marrakesh has to offer. Will definitely be booking up for next year.

I must say, this is probably the best hotel experience I've ever had - and I've traveled a lot! The staff is incredibly kind and the service is by far the best I have had at any hotel. We were staying in the suite, and the room was perfect, but I must say that our private terrasse was the best part. I have nothing but positive things to say about the hotel and the staff. Marrakech is a city witch can be a little stressfull to visit as a tourist, but if you stay at Riad Kaiss you have the perfect space to relax and reload. I can only recommend this place

Wonderful experience. The staff are very welcoming and the hospitality is second to none. The room was nice, comfortable and clean. In my opinion you need to stay in this Riad to have a flavour of Morocco. Keep it up and thank for making my trip a memorable one.

What a beautiful and relaxing oasis in the medieval energy of the medina . A cool and hip boutique hotel in a classic style but is very modern and chic ambience. They have a pool and also great food and are right in the thick of the action. The point is that once inside you are in your own world of absolute comfort. I could not recommend more highly.

Great hotel , the room was comfortable in every way. Great bathroom, enjoyed a lovely meal here, great food excellent service. Very efficient check-in and check-out .. perhaps the best place to stay in Marrakech !

What an absolute joy to stay at Riad Kaiss last weekend. A 50th birthday present for my husband, we had originally booked to stay at the sister site, Dar Anika but we're offered the chance to upgrade to this Riad by the owner. It was a tough call - both are stunning- Dar Anika is cosy and compact but staying at Riad Kaiss was like being in a museum or Palace! Valentina, the beautiful manager, could not have done more to ensure our stay was perfect. It was relaxed, the room was opulent but comfortable and the staff throughout our stay made us feel special and honoured guests. The food was amazing, cooked to order and served in a dining room that reminded us of the Alhambra in Granada! It was astonishingly peaceful there too. For me the only downside was picking up a tummy bug but again the staff could not have been more helpful and it didn't spoil my view of the Riad. I would absolutely recommend Riad Kaiss if you want to feel like royalty! Maybe next time, if we come here in January we'll bring warmer clothing - it was unseasonably cold but log fires around the Riad added another lovely touch and an extra gas fire in our room was just the ticket! Thank you all for making our stay so wonderful.
