I was very excited when my partner told me we would be celebrating my birthday in the desert in Morocco. Really a dream come true. The staff at Agafay was very nice, especially Soukina (I hope I spelled that correctly). She was warm, welcoming and easy to work with. We set up a desert ATV tour and camel ride, which were great experiences. The pool was amazing (cold!), but just want you need to cool off from the desert heat. Our tent was also pretty cool—we knew what we were signing up for by sleeping in the desert so my expectation for “luxury” were managed. It was a great experience to look out from our bed and see the sunrise on the desert mountains. All in all, a good experience. There seemed to be other camps on the desert, but Agafay looked to be the best...mainly because of the pool! A couple of other notes: • The bed was pretty hard. Still had a good night’s sleep, but definitely not the most comfortable. • Didn’t love the food. Mostly traditional Morocco fare, but certainly not the best • We scheduled a taxi to take us to our next destination to Morocco but then the staff told us the car would be an hour late. Luckily we didn’t have to wait to full hour, but would have loved to have the heads up before check out so we could plan accordingly.

Great place to stay. I have never been to the dessert before but everything was well arranged. I would recommend to always add the extra service of dinner etc. Just to avoid bringing so much stuff with you. The stay was pleasant and service was good.

This would have been the highlight of our family holiday if we had not been ripped off for the price of the bottled wine. We were served by a French girl who spoke excellent English and who informed us it was cheaper to buy the wine by the bottle as a glass was 50 Dirhams but a bottle was 100 Dirhams so we opted for the bottles. When the bill came we were charged 200 Dirhams per bottle and as a family of six we had had three bottles so this amounted to 300 Dirhams (approx £30) more than we were expecting to pay. We queried this and she said she had told us it was 200 Dirhams but all six of us had heard 100 Dirhams and had a conversation about the price so who is to be believed here! Anyway we asked another staff member if we could see the manager and she went straight over to the French girl to tell her so she came back to speak to us and apologise again by which time our taxi had turned up so we did not have time to speak to the manager. I thought I would sort it out with the tour operator we had booked with based in the hotel. The next morning I went to see the tour operator and told them what had happened and he spent all day trying to get us a refund but the manager stopped answering the phone to him after he had told the tour rep that the prices are printed on the menus. The French girl did not of course give us a menu, she just lied about the price of the wine. The staff are on commission for the drinks sales and this is a conning underhand way of them making more money. Do not buy drinks here unless you check out the menu and know what prices you are paying. The food, camel trip and entertainment was excellent, and I would have given this five stars had it not been marred by the lying, conniving greedy staff member. I was also disappointed by the henna artist who did not do a very good job.

In December 2018 we finally made our dreamed trip to Morocco and I would like to begin my report on the last day: It was all planned to close our trip with a golden key: on the last day of our trip we would have the unique experience of spending the night in a tent in the desert. It was a very interesting experience! The accommodations, the camel ride, the dinner, were good as was the friendliness of Mr Ayoub. All this experience became a great disappointment when we found, already boarded the plane for our return, that a certain amount in dollars and euros was taken from my purse. On this last day, we left for a morning walk in the desert before leaving the Inara Camp. At that moment of the walk our belongings remained in the tent and the bags still open and my purse on the bed. Because the camp didnt provide any safe to put our values. We returned to pick up our belongings and drive to the airport and did not check anything, any details at that moment. When we need to use our values on the plane we realize the lack of the amount. We communicated the responsible – Mr Mustapha from the travel agency Originally Marocco; and Mr Vincent the owner of Inara Camp - of what happened, and nothing was done. Nor I was contact to any type of refund. Was like they dont care at all. Please we advice do not go to Inara Camp nor use the Travel agency Orignally Marocco. A big, big disappointment. "

We were so happy to ride the cammels in the sunset in Agafay desert and having a really tasty dinner after. It was the best tajina ever! People in the camp were wery nice and they made us feel speci. The trip was organised by "Agafay desert tours".

visited the Agafay desert camp in last month and all what i can say about it is TOP , very warm welcoming from the stuff , very beautiful views and well equipped tents . the food and drinks were local and were very good .

We were so happy to sleep in Agafay desert , very beautiful views , amazing camel ride in the sunset , great food at dinner and nice breakfast . the tents were very well organized , shower and toilette were included .
