I've stayed here several times on business. Always a good experience - clean rooms, quiet, acceptable free breakfast (the waffles are pretty decent!), and the staff is very helpful and friendly. If you ask in advance, they will try to place you in a specific area - I like being nearer the lobby and close to an exit door. I do a lot of work online, so the free wifi is helpful. The pool is an added bonus. This hotel is a good value, very reasonably priced.
Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable The Check-in was easy. There was a coffee maker with coffee and tea. The breakfast had a lot of selections. I am a protein nut, and there were scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs and yoghurt, plus different kinds of milk. You can make your own waffle.
Convenient location, accept CLC, parking for tractor trailer, RV, restaurants within walking distance. Clerk gave me a handicapped room even though the place was pretty empty? This is an older property that has been remodeled. Clean well presented room, crisp comfy bed, linen appeared newer. Bathroom drains barely drained and there was some cosmetic issues. Overall not a bad property however I travel enough I can spot pending issues, such as lobby door and entry filthy, clerk kinda hasty, cosmetic issues, sloppy repair jobs. My room was clean and quiet.
I have stayed at several Quality Inns over the years. I have to say, this one was a big disappointment. Let's start with the front desk staff. The woman who was there at check in was running down the hall to yell at folks getting into the hot tub that was out of service. I understand the need to keep the people out if a repair is needed but to have your front desk person doing that when they are supposed to be serving incoming customers is beyond me. They have security cameras in the pool area and the monitors are in the room behind the desk. So, any time she saw someone in the hot tub, she would go running. Now, when I made my reservation the Wednesday before our Saturday stay, I spoke to Kaitlyn. I specifically asked if the pool and hot tub were in working order and I was told they were. I asked also if any renovations were underway and she said no. Upon arrival I found that the hot tub did NOT work and that it had been closed for over a week. So, it seems they also lie to customers so that you don't go elsewhere. When I brought this up to the hot tub nazi front desk person and asked for a credit she said that I didn't come there only for the hot tub therefore I would not be entitled to a credit or a cancellation. Hmmm... actually, I did pick the hotel because of the hot tub. I would not have booked my stay had I known that it was not in service. My daughters did enjoy the pool although they said the water was cold. That aside, the hotel was generally unclean (carpet was filthy in the hallways and not much better in the room). I was told I had a non smoking room but it still smelled of smoke and there were cigarette burns on the carpet. Yet, there was a little sign on the door indicating it was non smoking. I expect they rent them out anyway if all the smoking rooms are filled and they have another smoker visiting. The room itself was so so. We did not have a suite. They were all booked. I did see one and they looked a bit more comfortable. The pillows were floppy and spent. The bed was firm. I am not a fan of full size beds. I prefer queen. I should have noticed that in the description. The beds are relatively small. Okay for two people but pass if you need to share a bed with a teen or family member. The sink is in the room so you wake everyone up if you need to brush your teeth in the morning to go have a bite to eat. Noise level outside was reasonable. You are near a busy area so you do hear people and traffic. The breakfast was okay. The only fruit available was apples. Yogurt, oats, make-your-own waffles and sausage and eggs were available to name a few things. The cups for coffee and juice were small. But, it will do in a pinch. To sum it up, I will not stay here again. I'd rather pay more to get something that is a bit cleaner and that hopefully has things in working order.
We stayed at this location for 5 nights. When we got to our rm, I tried to call the front desk for a passcode for wifi. The phone did not work. I tried calling main number with my cell and nobody answered. I walked to the frt desk and explained the situation. She was very friendly and wrote up the phone prob. I asked why nobody answered the main phone. She was outside and the cordless phone does not work. The printer in the bus office does not work and has been that way for awhile and needs replacing. The men's rm near front desk has sign that urinal is out of order and looks like the sign has been there a long time, at least the 5 days we were there. The toilet in our rm needs the handle held down to flush. There is a light sw by door as we enter our rm and does not have a use that we could find. AC stunk, and I looked at filter. It had dust very thick, I took the filters outside and cleaned them myself. Even with them cleaned, it is always musty smelling in rm. We found if leave bathrm fan on all day, like it was when we arrived on first day, it sucks out some musty odor. The phone was not repaired all week, as we were told it was major problem with phone company and many rm phones do not work. Several other people in our group said they had same problems with rooms. Saturday morning, as I was leaving early, I walked into the breakfast area before the official time to open, as lights were on and lady was putting out items, and she was very rude saying that I cannot be there until the official time. I asked if I could at least have a glass of orange juice, which was by the door and she told me to leave, again saying I don't belong there. At this point, I ignored here and got a glass of orange juice and left the "I don't like my job and I am going to take it out on you" person. WOW
I am in Mansfield on business, couldn't have found a better place to stay. The staff is outstanding. The front desk and house keeping really go the extra mile to make you feel at home. I am here for possibly 8 weeks, and we all know how tiresome motel living could get. Front desk has done everything in thier power to keep me from having to change rooms and feel at home. Housekeeping Honest and hard working. Do not ever have to worry about leaving things in my room. Hotel is an older building, but renovated and we'll maintained. Good carpet and furnishings, thick towels and good bed linens. Wi fi is good, huge pool and jacuzzi. There is laundry room, a gym and business office. Close to many restaurants, and shopping. Breakfast, is very good, many choices. Could not have found a better place. Thank you staff, for making my life easier! !!!!
We normally always stay at a Choice Privileges hotel. Booked a King room, room was very comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable, boyfriend had neck surgery couple months ago and he was also very comfortable sleeping. Breakfast hours were different than used to but not a big deal. Breakfast room was the biggest we have ever seen, great choices and food was very good. All staff were very friendly and nice. If we ever travel to the area again, we will definitely stay again.
Passing through Ohio to my destination our traveling companions decided we needed a break. Not realizing an important event was taking place in the area we had a difficult time finding a place to lay our weary heads. Luckily we were able to book 2 rooms , thank you TripAdvisor. However our room was something to be desired....the carpet, linens & bedding were noticeably damp, even when the bill was slipped under the door that paper became limp and damp. The air ran all night and did not improve the air in the room. Pillows were awful, not only small ( half the size of a standard pillow) but again clammy. Taking a shower was a challenge there was no working light in the bathroom. As in pitch dark since it had no light source. However even in the dark it had a kick a@@ shower with excellent water pressure. The hotel really should be ashamed of not only the condition of the room but the fact that it was a busy weekend the price was substantially higher than it should have been. It is a smoking hotel and although we were in a non-smoking room the smell perminated through out, just walking down the hall made me want to change my clothing. On a different not the hotel staff was kind, helpful and very courteous, parking was close, however I cannot recommend staying here.
Comfortable, clean, friendly place in the middle of a town with a lot of woes. Good place to settle for a couple of nights. Housekeeping, front desk, maintenance and even other guest - all friendly. Nails in the parking lot from concrete form boards- maintenance all over it when brought to his attention. Becka at the front desk super nice.
Thought the price was a little high on this hotel for what it was and the location, but it wasn't a bad hotel. The room was really nice and had a small kitchen/bar area. Big pool and hot tub and even a sauna room. Breakfast was decent.
