Old School 7 - Charming 2-bedroom historic home in welcoming Mansfield

Take a step back in time with a stay at this historic brick schoolhouse built in 1875.

Originally called “Schoolhouse #7” on the 1896 Mansfield Map, it was converted to a 2 bedroom home in the mid 1900's. Recently updated with some creature comforts like a fresh new bathroom, unique furniture, and cozy beds.

Situated on a nice quiet 1/2 acre lot above a ravine with a babbling creek below.

There are 2 cozy bedrooms on the second level, and queen size murphy bed on the first floor. There is a fully stocked kitchen and freshly renovated bathroom on the first floor.

Also on the main floor is a comfortable living room / dining room. The space provides you with games, a Chesterfield leather sofa, gas log fireplace, record player, and a desk / work station for working remote.

There are several steps on the first level to step up into the kitchen or bathroom. Just to communicate any accessibility concerns the first floor isn’t on one flat level.

The brand new 6-person hot tub is hot and ready for you to relax and enjoy!

We offer high speed internet as well.

Be cautious of the ravine and hillside, we have fencing to protect guests of the steep hillside.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a fireplace, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

This place is adorable! My girls and I booked it last minute for a girls weekend trip and they loved that they got to ring the original school bell everyday! The beds were so comfortable, the decor was "old school" and decorated with antiques, which I love! The place was clean, the hot tub was wonderful, the owners always quickly responded, and it being pet friendly was a bonus so we got to bring our GoldenDoodle! Highly recommend!

The old school house did not disappoint and lived up to its description. The only thing we didn’t like was the shower was awkward and the beds weren’t very comfortable. Thankfully the hot tub was awesome and overall we had a nice time.

Charming historical building with some modern amenities. Be aware of lots of levels and stairs. Didn't really work for my disabled husband. Drive way is right off really busy street so use caution.

Lovely historic property

We loved our stay at the old school house. It was a really unique fun property to stay at and very cozy. We didn’t get to use the fire pit and hot tub as planned, but it was very inviting looking. I loved all the historic touches, beautiful decorating and antiques, it really made the overall experience. We enjoyed sitting on the big leather sofa and watching movies on the big television and I personally enjoyed a quiet morning in the breakfast nook with my coffee in appropriate China tea cups. I can imagine in the winter with a fire to be very enjoyable The owners were very friendly and accommodating, and I sincerely appreciate it. For anyone who has unique personal situations it may be helpful to be aware that there is only a claw foot tub. It is extremely cute and nice looking, but it is a little tricky to get in if you have mobility issues and there are several steps into and out of the bathroom. If you are picky about your bed pillows, I suggest bringing your own as these were very full and firm. it is a 200 year-old structure so if you have any sensitivity to a slight mustiness, you should be aware of that.Overall, I highly recommend it – such a unique and well appointed home.

Cute, comfortable, thoughtful

What a nice weekend getaway. Very close to two wineries, a fun brewery that had live music and a martini bar. My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay here. It is very close to a busy road, which made us a little nervous with our country raised dog. We ordered DoorDash the first night and found many options near by, a big plus for us. Would stay again!

Will stay here again

The schoolhouse is beautiful. It was exceptionally clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable.( I wish I knew the brand of the mattress that were on the beds.) Communication with the owners was prompt and helpful. We especially appreciated the fire pit and Adirondack chairs In the backyard. Would highly recommend and hope to stay here again.
