Great staff good accommodation and good foods around , one of the best hotel I've visited.Hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable,Staff here gave us extra time to stay in the room even after the check out time.. which was really helpful
Stayed April 8-13 and 17-21 2018. This is a fine hotel with very reasonable rates. While not in the best neighborhood it is right on the LRT so getting around is easy. They have a shuttle which I used several times to and from the airport, 1000PHP ($20.00). The hotel is relatively quiet. My second room had some minor problems, toilet seat wouldn't stay up (I'm a guy), low water pressure in the bathroom sink, very noisy bath fan. I don't consider these to be real problems though. The entire place was endlessly clean. They have a casino which I didn't use. I had several meals at the hotel restaurant most of which were quite good. They have a large international menu and a Chinese menu as well. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of choice to get the day started and they provide separate ordering for breakfast as well. Dinner selections were varied and I recommend the grilled salmon. The best part of this hotel would have to be the staff. They were friendly, accommodating, available and professional. I give a special shout out to Belle (reception) and Leo (food service). You guys rock. I didn't use the pool although it looked very nice. I did not use the karaoke bar. It looked a bit dated but I'm sure it works well for it's intended purpose. There is a piano in the lobby and during dinner the hotel has some light entertainment with a piano player and a singer. Nice touch. All in all I had a wonderful stay and would recommend The Manila Grand Opera for any type of traveler(s).
The room is good but one of the bed sheet has a blood stain. The air conditioner is good also although it’s old. TV is old and the sound cracks. What i like about is they clean the room and refill everything everyday. They also offer buffet breakfast everyday. But what i don’t like in this hotel is the noisy background. You can even hear the snore of your neighbor because of the wood walls of the room.
Modest rooms. Function halls are well furbished. The delight in staying comes from the experience of having experienced the combo of tea and rice cakes served on the far corner of the lobby. The recipe is the hotel's signature. It is what makes the hotel popular.
I planned a surprise bday for my honey everything went well the amenities are accomodating! fantastic food, clean and wide pool area (for me) but some part of the area of the hotel needs to be developed I guess. Very nice hotel! I woulf recommend this to my friends I want to give thanks to the concierge near the front door for assisting me on my check out. The girl from the front desk seems to be so slow!!!!! I have been waiting for about 45 minutes and my uber is already there and wants to cancel my ride because of the waiting time. It was feb 15 2018 at 7am. Thanks sa concierge na nakapansin sakin dahil sobrang tagal kong naghintay the concierge guy even said to the front desk girl na "Paki assist na kanina pa nasa labas yung uber nya." Room check inaabot ng 50 minutes!? nasa third floor lang my god! but the good thing is Me and my boyfriend enjoyed staying at the hotel.
I was expecting that they would be strict on the number of persons but they are not. The room is standard, smaller than I expected. Just enough room to walk to the bathroom BUT it was clean and well maintained. The TV is not flat screen BUT it has cable. Free WIFI is for 2 gadgets only. The use of swimming pool is for 2 pax only. I ordered Nido soup from their restaurant - medium size - and it was a big serving. Lobby is grand and I like it very much. They have parking which is well-secured. Overall, I would say it's worth it!
I always have an enjoyable moment here with family. We especially like that it is accessible even if you do not have your own car. Rooms are decent. Our best spot is their sauna and jacuzzi at the pool area. Special thanks (always) to Miss Maricel Pascua!
The money you spent with the hotel is more than worth it. The staff were all accommodating. The food ---oh you'll love it. I do recommend the place as venue for training-workshops and business meetings.
Manila Grand Opera Hotel is an old but functioning hotel. For its cheap price, it offers great service to its customers. What I like is that this hotel is cheap. You might expect that the hotel will be bad but do not let the price fool you. It offers basic needs and it even has a swimming pool. The hotel is situated right next to the Doroteo Jose Station of the LRT. It provides great convenience if you are a commuter and you are staying in that place. What I don't like is that due to its price, you would really feel that you are staying in an average hotel. It doesn't give you a feeling of luxury. Another thing that I don't like is the passageways and rooms. I expected that the rooms and passageways are carpeted. Overall, I would recommend this place for its price, offers, and convenience. But it just doesn't offer you the luxury that upper-class hotels have.
parking is not easily accessible as it is directly by a main street. check in process was long but we were upgraded for that. room service is good and punctual no heating or inadequate heating system for the shower. the food is ok
