The money you spent with the hotel is more than worth it. The staff were all accommodating. The food ---oh you'll love it. I do recommend the place as venue for training-workshops and business meetings.
Manila Grand Opera Hotel is an old but functioning hotel. For its cheap price, it offers great service to its customers. What I like is that this hotel is cheap. You might expect that the hotel will be bad but do not let the price fool you. It offers basic needs and it even has a swimming pool. The hotel is situated right next to the Doroteo Jose Station of the LRT. It provides great convenience if you are a commuter and you are staying in that place. What I don't like is that due to its price, you would really feel that you are staying in an average hotel. It doesn't give you a feeling of luxury. Another thing that I don't like is the passageways and rooms. I expected that the rooms and passageways are carpeted. Overall, I would recommend this place for its price, offers, and convenience. But it just doesn't offer you the luxury that upper-class hotels have.
parking is not easily accessible as it is directly by a main street. check in process was long but we were upgraded for that. room service is good and punctual no heating or inadequate heating system for the shower. the food is ok
the staff are nice and friendly except to the pool attendant. there was this 2 kids asking for a towel at first the attendant told the kids that towel is not available after less than a minute he gave 1 towel for the 2 kids to share and after a few sec he gave another. i think its impossible for a shortage of towel with only 6 people on the area take note 2 of which brought the towel from their room. also its strange to have 2 doors before you enter your room. They don't have a safety vault, The room is dark as its painted red. its quite until you open the CR as its exhaust is so loud.
I don’t like the room to small and not clean! I have no choice Coz we booked online and paid for 5 days! The taste of there food is good... especially the putobongbong is to special that’s the only thing I love you’re food and the putubongbung...
This was the best the room wasn't the nicest or the biggest but it was clean and comfortable the food was the best I have ever eaten.i had one drink at the bar which was great there were a dozen girls waiting for a gentleman I suppose (tip) the restaurant has very big meals so there is a donut shop on site that has smaller meals and they are great the best was the surroundings if you want to buy something anything it can be gotten within a few blocks from gold to guns to chicken heads on a stick this is Asia my phone wasn't working yet sorry but believe me for $25 a night it was great
Me and my friends had a staycation here since one of our friends were here also for their seminar. Rooms: clean but quite old. The room we stayed in is spacious. Essentials were present, except for slippers (lol). The main problem we had is their air conditioning unit. We had a hard time using it, gets warm inside our room immediately. Food: we had their complimentary breakfast buffet. Nothing special. Food is not exceptional, but "pwede na rin". But their cream puffs is hella good! :p But their meals which can be ordered through their room service is affordable and delish. We had beef stew and liempo and it was good. Service: staff are very friendly and polite. But the check out process was quite slow. Other amenities: i was not able to use their pool but my friends did and they enjoyed it since there was no crowd the time they went there. Overall, it was a nice stay here in this hotel
We decided to book for 2 nights here to prep for my daughter's birthday. We live in Bulacan and the party was held near the hotel. Reading through the feedback, I was hesitant at first but since it is the best I can find given the price, we still pushed through. A guard was already corteous in assisting us park our car. We got off and proceeded to the front desk, looking like beggars, since we just came from hours of hovering through Divisoria for my daughter's party, I didn't see any hesitation from them, which was really good. Went inside the room, though it was really odd to have 2 doors before reaching the room itself but I kind of understand that having that extra door kept the room from external noise. I actually liked it. The beds were a bit tough but the pillows are really soft which is plus for me. There's enough chair to sit on, free water and coffee setup, with really good fridge. The bathroom was good too with working hot and cold shower. I like everything in our room, the only thing I probably would like is a room with window but I don't see it as a huge issue considering that there's really no special view I'd dread not to see from my room. Though I didn't try the pool, my daughter did enjoy swimming it in and it is a plus that it is in a secluded area of the hotel. All in all, I would definitely go back.
I was invited to be a Speaker here at the Manila Grand Opera Hotel just recently. I was excitedly looking forward to that speaking engagement. However, the halls where our seminar-wokshop was held was not that good especially their ventilation / aircondition. There was a place reserved for the Speakers like me but ironically it was that area which was quite hot. In fact, I brought with me a jacket expecting that the place would be cold but it was the other way around. The food was good, although, since I was a Speaker, my food was given to me directly by the waiters without me filing in line. However, the food given to me was so few that I really wanted to complain to the organizers.
Unexpected Charges. They will not inform you right away that you'll be charged. The room looks like a motel. Staff isn't friendly. Such a waste of money. And friends already cancelled their booking as well. Such a no no. Will never ever come back. So many poor reviews in their Facebook page with different kind of complaints.
