The hotel was very very difficult to find we spent ages walking around trying to find it . Gave up and went shopping first and booked in later on . Eventually found it on the street we've walked up and down already . I'd suggest more prominent signage and i mentioned it to the receptionist as I'm sure others have had similar problems . ( The apartment was ok and was plenty of space for us all . however I'd ask for a room higher up as we could hear the night clubbers from the bird cage night club across the road at 2 am but i didn't realise this when i booked so this isn't the fault of the hotel . The hotel was very handy for the arndale centre and their was a takeaway two doors away that was adequate for late night pizza cravings .
Great central location facing the arndale shopping centre and close to lots of the best clubs and restaurants can get a taxi or a uber in just minutes and we all just felt so at home during the entire stay only downside was that the door handle of the bathroom door kept coming off on the inside apart from this there was no actual real issues staff was all very friendly place was clean beds could do with better mattresses as they are a bit hard but but like I said not a major issue slept on worse haha highly recommended place to stay... All I will say is ignore the reviews about the noise as there is no noise from inside the apartments at all its just noise from the clubs and stuff but if you book somewhere this central it's expected to have nightlife
Booked this hotel due to the cheap mid week price. Checked in and the girl on reception couldn't have been more robotic if she tried so uninterested. Headed to the room and there was no wifi code and no ironing board. Was told by reception the wifi code was by the tv. No code therefore no wifi. Ironing board was sourced quickly. Then when looking around, little details really let this hotel down. As seen in the pictures wrong date on clock, missing handle on the bath taps, paint on doors. The location is brilliant next to the arndale but for the same money you can get better
Welcoming reception staff who was able to quickly show us to our rooms. As we were a big group we requested beforehand that all 4 of our rooms to be next to each other. Unfortunately this couldn't be arranged. Apartments were clean but varied a lot in size between a small 4 person apartment and a very large 6 person apartment. Amazing location, just opposite the Arndale shopping centre and around the corner from Printworks. The groups only issue was the noise. Although a lot of other reviews mentioned this, we have to as well. It wasn't noise coming from guests but the bin men and visitors to the nightclub next door to the apartments which apparently is still open at 6am! I would definitely recommend staying here for the location but maybe request a room on a higher floor if you need your beauty sleep!
Don't stay here it's awful. Plenty of much better places in Manchester for the same price. Our room was not clean, damp on wall in kitchen area with rotten skirting board. I placed my case on top of the wardrobe and I was covered in dust when I took it down. It had a faint but nasty smell. Very noisy road and a night club opposite. Internet didn't work properly. Not very well equipt. Hard bed and hard sofa. Trying to find a positive - the hairdryer was good and the shower was powerful even though the cubicle itself was small and the bathroom was in poor condition. The whole place needs a complete refurb.
This apartment was perfect for two parents and a son who was graduating from University. The rooms were comfortable clean and spacious with the added bonus of kitchen and living room for any insomniacs or early risers, most of all exceptional value compared to some of the cheap hotels I have stayed in whilst in manchester. In case you have seen the reviews that say it is noisy, a tip given to me at time of booking online, is to ask for a higher level room, and this is what we got. Of course being so central it is bound to have city noise, but to be honest the air conditioning next door was noisier than people noise.
Apartments have everything you need, including kitchens with utensils, TV, large bathroom (and no hot water issues!), and decent sized bathrooms. Wifi has a strong connection. I prefer this location to a hotel as you could probably relax when not out and about rather than staring at the 4 walls of a hotel rooms. You only get 1 key which is a bit annoying but the reception is pretty much maned 24/7 so there's no real issues getting in and out. The location couldn't be more central - right opposite the main Arndale shopping centre, and right by The Printworks which is full of restaurants and bars, and then right down the road there is even more bars and restaurants (though the entire of Manchester is just bars and restaurants so you'll have no problems there). I have to point out on a Friday and Saturday night it is very noisy until about 3am due to the nightclubs outside - but if you're going to book a hotel this central you can't complain about this - it's expected! Other nights are quiet enough, and you don't hear noise within the building from other flats. Would definitely recommend if you want a homely and spacious stay.
Stayed here with a large group for a hen do. Perfect location as it is opposite all the shops and bars/clubs on the doorstep. I would recommend to large groups who are wanting to go out and about. However these apartments are incredibly loud at night so expect broken sleep. The facilities are good and the rooms were clean and tidy.
The best selling point of this accomodation is its location. Situated in the heart of Manchester shopping district, you are across the road from a massive shopping mall and high street shops. The Works is surrounded by different types of eateries and restaurants to suit any budget or just go to a variety of nearby supermarkets to whip up a simple home cook meal. The accomodation is spacious and well equipped including washing machines, irons and hair dryers. Pros: Location location location. Surrounded by food outlets and night life. Across the road from Manchester city high street. Accommodation is comfortable and fairly clean. (Cleanliness - 3 star) Walking distance to public transport (less then 5 mins) Cons: Lack of Car park and no place to drop off or pick up. Quite a noisy area if you keep the windows open
Facilities were fine apartment was good reception on arrival was I had to wait while he chatted to maid, worst night sleep ever, broken sleep all night after a 26 hour flight from New Zealand night club located underneath apartment who would've thought Monday night was happening in Manchester, any way no sleep kept up till 4am with party goes yelling screaming all night at one point it sounded like a whole foot ball, team was out side, would rather pay more and have a decent night sleep terrible never staying here again, oh and super hard to find, but nice central location if you don't want sleep
