We stayed here two nights while we were hiking the Appalachian Trail in the area. It was nice enough, nothing extra, but if it had not been suitable we would have gone elsewhere for our second night. We had the place practically to ourselves, the first night there was no one else, the second night one other family came in. So it was a quiet place for us to rest up on our day off. The room is small but suitable, everything was clean. The clerk/owner was friendly to us and helpful. He made breakfast just for us on the first morning and offered to get up early the second morning to do it again since we had to leave early, but we declined. He had waffles, sweet breads, coffee. I would think that they are busier during ski season. I did feel that the price was too high for off-season and for what they had to offer, but not as high as other places in town. It is conveniently located to the Appalachian Trail.
This is a convenient property given the extraordinary prices in town. It is quiet, and has a passable breakfast, comfortable beds and convenient location. Could be a little bit more generous with the ice and be happier to see customers.
It was the only place with rooms available when we booked 3 weeks before presidents weekend but the most recent reviews were good so I decided to try it out despite the overall poor rating. Big mistake. The room was small and the walls were dirty. The water to the toilet had been turned off so we turned it back on to flush the toilet but then came back from dinner to a big puddle on the bathroom floor. Now we know why the water was turned off. There's no way to lock the room from the inside so at any point anyone who works in that hotel could enter our room. We stayed one night and couldn't get out of there fast enough in the am. Will not stay there again...would rather drive an hour to the mountain in the morning!
Our ski team stayed at the Econolodge and it was perfect for what we needed. Great service, comfy beds, and perfect location for getting to the ski mountains around the area. Highly recommend staying here.
Stayed at the Econolodge for a weekend of ski racing and we had a great experience! The rooms were comfortable and the location was excellent for getting to Bromley mountain and into town for shopping and dinner. You can't beat the price either!
We had a very good stay for a ski weekend at Bromley and Stratton. The Econo Lodge location is perfect, the rate is a bargain and the staff showed great hospitality. We will be sure to stay there again!
excellent staff and clean rooms , nice and quite area , I would recommend this motel for overnight stay and i will stay here again in future. I travel in that area every year and I stay there , check -in and check -out was very smooth
I come up every year and stay in the manchester center area to go skiing. The usual hotel i go to was booked so i stayed at the Econolodge and man was i suprised by the cleaniness of the hotel from the office to the room. The wifi was fast because my kids were able to play their games that needed wifi. Will definetly be staying here from now on. Rates were very reasonable compared to the area.
We just spent another weekend in Manchester Center, When we arrived to check in the manager Gary was wonderful, very smooth check in. The room was comfortable and clean, mountain view was very nice from the window! The bathroom was very clean. wi-fi works great. Owner is constantly improving. breakfast was good. Enjoying shopping in outlet one mile from the motel. very good location. we had a wonderful stay and will be staying here again the next time we come to Manchester CT!
T-Mobile does not have any reception in many parts if Vermont. I had an important call to make, I approached on Rte 30/11 West of Stratton MT, bound for Dorset, VT. No reception on a Smartphone. I stopped at Econo Lodge. Looked quite common from the outside. The Front Desk Receptionist was 10+ accommodating and volunteered their personal phone to help. I was struck by the obvious excellent maintenance of the outside & inside areas that I viewed. I would not hesitate to recommend this well placed, safe and quiet accommodation open year round. Reasonable for very upscale Manchester Shire Country, Vermont.
