We spent 2 nights in this hotel and had 2 rooms. One of the rooms was not booked but the receptionist found us a room and this was settled. Cleanliness is very poor, dusty bathrooms. Also during the night we had large cockroaches on the furniture and in the other room cockroaches could be seen in the soffit next to the a.c unit. Also one of the rooms had dirty sheets, with blood on them, but they were changed after a complaint at the reception. Beds not comfortable. Also location is not great. And hotel is outdated. Breakfast was goodWill not stay again.
staff are nice, hotel well equipped, tranquil area, good facilities on premises and nice is the fact that guest can use facilities of 4 star sister hotel free of charge. nice view of all north of Malta, central, Comino and Gozo from roof top of hotel.

We have just come back from a weeks holiday in Malta staying at the Sunflower hotel. The hotel may be a little bit tired in places but it is clean, bright and airy, daily maid service with daily fresh sheets and towels, very good food and bar and indoor and outdoor (rooftop) pool. The hotel's best point for me though are the staff who are very friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The beds could do with upgrading as they are very hard but apart from that I would definitely recommend the Sunflower as a great base for exploring Malta.
This is a 3 star hotel not central but not to far to local attractions. Both indoor and outdoor pools with occasional entertainment. Food is varied and the bar is reasonable. Friendly staff makes for a comfortable to hotel.
Hotel out of the rush of the town. Friendly staff. Adequate rooms. Self service meals with all you could eat. Evening meal good, rabbit, fish, salads puds as you would expect. We tired the meals our for the first evenings bit then booked for the week taking advantage of their special offer. Two swimming pools. One in basement and one on the roof. Both adequate but small. Entertainment some evenings but not loud or violent. Interesting varieties of nationalities staying.
Just back from a great week in Malta, stayed at sunflower hotel . Positive is that the room is clean and good , air con ok, fab shower, breakfast great and dinner also very good quality limited choice but very nice fresh . Restaurant staff fantastic, housekeeping also very chatty and good ( spoke to about 8 of them in week ) pool on roof great but don’t expect quick service at pool bar all of us up there have to lean over and say HELLO to get served but nice girl and fabulous prices !! Loved it . BEWARE of reception ( ladies only ) very jobs worth !! Had a great time and would recommend no worries.
Great value for your money, tidy, clean rooms, fresh linen daily, good food. Luckily we brought our tablet to watch tv in the evening as they only have one English speaking channel which is Sky news. I brought my travel kettle and uht milk so was able to get much needed coffee. Location of the hotel is not great BUT it's only a short walk to the square and the bus terminal. (I use a walking stick and I managed it no bother). Overall a pleasant visit. Thank you to all the staff at the Sunflower Hotel 👍😊x.
Not enough storage for clothing in room had to leave some items in suitcase. The food was buffet style and invariably cold reverted to eating breakfast out the only thing hot for evening meal was soup. Some of the seating in the bar area needs replacing as much too low to sit comfortably.
Nothing special, the building is located in a hidden part of Bugiba. Nearby there is a like a car "cemetery" ... The location is really a let down. The hotel itself is clean, service is normal, some staff (especially the room attendants) are sweet and friendly, the receptionists should learn one or two things from them !!! Overall just a normal hotel with no extra.
