Stayed for a week . First impression of hotel was very good , entrance and lobby were stunning and staff very helpful. Our room was a sea view on floor 8 , very clean and wonderful views ( onky downside no light on balcony ). Room was clean had small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Some parts of the hotel , hallways etc were a little dates but sort of added to the character .. We went for fully inclusive, breakfast and lunch always seemed better than evening meal apart from one evening where there were fresh cooked king prawns lovely !! Waiters were always friendly and helpful. Bar areas were nice, the cave bar was unique, the main downstairs bar had Evening entertainment ( all a bit cheesy ) but fun if you wanted to get involved!! We didn't venture out much, a walk into magaluf ( which was quiet due to time of year) and a walk to a fab cove , cap falco beach had a fab beach bar.. this holiday for us was a lovely chilled break and we would definatly consider coming here again
My husband and I stayed here for a week in October. The location is very quiet with just a bar, restaurant and shop nearby. Our check in was fast despite the large queue. The room was small but had everything you would need. The single beds pushed together wasn't ideal as many people have mentioned. The balcony was adequate. We had a sea view room which was worth the extra cost in my opinion. I felt there could have been better lighting in the room, it was hard to see when it got dark. The tv had a good amount of stations on it from different countries. The bathroom was nice with a bath and bidet. The sink had unit had plenty of space for your items. This was where i had to do my make up as it had better lighting. The food was excellent, much better than I had thought from reading reviews on here. I loved the appetisers in their own bowl/plate, there was a great selection. The food was all well labelled. Breakfast was very samey, nice, but samey. The fresh orange juice was gorgeous and there was cava every day at breakfast. The desserts were a disappointment but there was a chocolate fountain most nights. The poolside was nice with plenty of loungers. The pool as everyone mentions was far too deep and cold. The best thing was the proximity to the sea, ideal for jumping in off the pier and snorkeling. Boats came past occasionally and were not at all disruptive. It's a real suntrap and ideal for sunbathing. The path to the beach is really handy and the beach is lovely. The drinks are pretty bad unfortunately, but that's expected when it's local brands. The cocktails were nice and you could have any from the list on any day- not just the 'cocktail of the day' on that day. The snack bar was handy but the food wasnt great. It was a real shame you couldn't eat the food outside at the tables. For us the biggest disappointment was the entertainment. It was really dire the week we were there. The evening shows were awful. The entertainment crew seemed like lovely people but it really let the hotel down. The cave bar was a nice location but could have been utilised a lot better. The same goes for the piano bar. I think if you have 3 different locations for entertainment at night then it should be better and varied. The daytime entertainment was a bit lack lustre and similar each day. All in all we had a lovely time, but we wouldn't return unless the entertainment was improved.
Were to start, my wife and I spent 2weeks and loved every day we were on the seventh floor what a veaw spectacular . If you just want to relax and take in the views sunbathing ,swim in the sea snorkelling, go down to the beach or go for walks ( magaluff 20 mins away ). Cala vinas is the place to go. We stayed at the sentido Cala vinas it was brilliant . Could do with a face lift in some areas .our room was kept clean and tidy the cleaners were polite and cheerful.the food was lovely some food was repetitive but ther was anough chouses that it did not matter a wonderful team of chefs led by Sebastian trueba . The waiters wore smilies from start to finish and were always happy to assist in anyway weldon Chema your staff are a credit to you . Bar staff made the effort to get to now most of the guests and you were met with a big smile and a drink already for you thankyou Marino ,Francisco. Antonio, Pedro, Rafael for making our holliday a very enjoyable one. The entertainment team led by Liam with great support from Chelsea,Laurence and Danny. Worked there socks of all day and everning put on some good shows. All in all sentido should be proud of there staff . So if you want a nice relaxing holiday or night out in magaluff this is the place to come I now my wife and I will be back . Not a 5 star hotel but definitely a 5 star effort all round.
Location: Beautiful Hotel: Comfortable and very clean Room: Small and comfortable but who needs a huge room on holiday? If one critique the pillows are quite solid. Room cleaned daily. Food: The best All inclusive of had to date and the food counter is endless. We ate out one night but I preferred the hotel food myself. Pool: Stunning poolside location. Spotless, I did not see any litter. Located into the bay you can literally swap the pool for the sea in a few steps. Summary: did not know what to expect on arrival being the last guests of the season but pleasantly surprised that although the hotel was about to close the high standards of the staff remains 1st class. The food was great, alcohol was great and the location Beautifully located if you like the sea. Five minutes from Magaluf by taxi for a change of scenery but I could happily of stayed local. I would recommend this destination and Hotel to anyone who desires a relaxing break with beautiful views and nice food, drink and good entertainment. If you prefer to pick up on things like old wooden window frames rather than admire the view through the window then you are never going to be pleased. Thanks to the staff and Thomas Cook for a relaxing hassle free break in a fantastic location.
Visited on the 9th October for a six night stay . We were on the tenth floor , beautiful sea view , very quiet also . Only downside- twin beds . Lovely food, loads of choice . Bar near restaurant was a bit impersonal but would recommend the Blue bar . Pool was lovely , never that busy and really enjoyed the Aqua fit . Hotel is very close to a sandy cove , lovely swimming and we didn’t have any problem with jellyfish but I believe some had . On the whole would return and loved the fact it is Adults Only . P.s weather was fab when we were there.
Me and my partner just returned from a weeks stay at the resort. And it was amazing, start to finish. The hotel is set in the most incredible location, with gorgeous sea views, and you get the sun all day long. Staff work super hard, and long days! Marino down in the pool bar was lovely, really made my evenings! Entertainment staff they had were wonderful, we took our iPad thinking we would watch Netflix in the evenings, however we always went down and watched the entertainment team. Food was lovely, lots of options, fresh salad bar at each meal was brilliant! We were there on the last day when they were closing the hotel down and the staff invited us to their leaving party which was really kind of them and it was lovely to see them all together and celebrating My only downside would be the rooms were not clean, the floors were not swept the whole time we were there. We had to request for the beds to be changed because we kept getting bit. Also the staff in the piano bar were rude and unfriendly, they could definitely do with seeing how nice the staff are everywhere else and mimic that. It doesn't take much to smile. However those slight downsides did not put us off our time there and we've already looked at returning next year.
Just returned from a week at the "Cala Vinas" the hotel was excellent, the best sea views ever! The staff try very hard ,not the usual long queues at the bar. Good all inclusive. If you're looking for a relaxing break here is nice. Don't go expecting extreme nightlife this not the place. Overall an excellent quiet adult only hotel. Well done Cala Vinas.
We booked a cheap holiday for a week, and found when we got their that the hotel was great, large bedroom spotlessly clean with balcony ovelooking a beautiful bay.only very minor complaint was that there were no drawers for clothes but plenty of shelf space. tea/coffee making facilites fridge safe and tv with english channels. All the staff were excellent and the entertainment group were superb with something happening all day every day quizzes keep fit and a host of activities to suit most people. the restaurant was spotless with a great variety of excellent dishes every day. this holiday was one of the best we have been on and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. the hotel was adults only and all inclusive with a wide range of age groups.
We stayed here october 5th to 12th 2017 and it 2as wonderful. The staff can not do more , the customer services is fantastic and our room was ready on arrival. The food is the best all inclusive food I think I’ve ever had ignore the bad reports honestly the selection is fab and if you as they will cook certain things how you want them cooked. The fruit and salad and deserts are bountiful and replenished regularly. And Manuel is a lovely and very funny man , we loved him. The bars are great, we loved the cave bar and Tino the bar man is an absolute diamond he is hilarious and will happily change the music for you if you ask we had the best 80s rendition party in there with some other guests it was hilarious. That said buy mosquito cream and repellent or the repellent bands before going as we were bitten a few times but not as badly as some. It would be good the hotel investing in a supply of the bands to sell to guests. The spa is lovely the outdoor pool cold but once in is really relaxing and a good way to cool off, that said the sea was so warm that we spent most of our day snorkelling with all the fish, it’s a truly fabulous location. Be sure to look up on the opposite cliff at Simon Cowell house lol. The Thomas cook rep Michael is a total sweetheart he couldn’t do enough to please he is a star and they must keep him as he really does a fab job, as do all the activity reps too. The all inclusive beer on tap is San Miguel which was great and the prosecco is really tasty also haha. It’s a 20minute stroll to magaluf, which has fab bars and restaurants by day, not my scene at night so we didn’t go but I’m sure it’s raucous on the bac’ streets, that said you can’t hear a thing from the hotel bay it’s very peaceful. The little beach is great and right at the back is a cocktail shack which do the best monitors I’ve ever had and the staff are really really lovely. We stayed in the 12th floor and the views and sunrise Are breath taking, however as with these things there was a compromise to be had being so high up , the water pressure is quite poor so getting a shower or a bath took a very long long time, the hotel tried to help but they couldn’t get it any better, perhaps someth8ng they could look at trying to improve?... a small gripe only as it’s a small price to pay for the amazing views. The rooms were very clean and housekeepers were always singing in their work it was lovely to see people so happy all the time All in all our stay was fabulous I highly recommend this hotel and their fantastic staff, we will definitely be back. Many thanks
hotel is very good, staff very helpful and polite. cave bar well worth a visit or 2 but would probably be enhanched with some entertainment nightly.the location right on the sea has great views from pool area ,restaurant and sea view rooms, the resort has nothing ,2 small shops only saw 2 bars.if you like lazing by pool ok,but if you want to walk etc nowhere to go, except magaluf 20 mins away,.food was plentiful but only average except for the special tapas entertainment at night was by thomas cook reps and was poor and amateurish.
