Myself and 2 friends stayed here for 10 nights All inc July, We arrived and was met by a great modern looking reception, great looking sports bar and thought happy days we've fell upon a good one. That changed when we was shown to our room, basic bed, basic mattress, wardrobe with door not on runners, a balcony door that didn't shut or lock, woodchip wallpaper that was a smokey yellow colour. But hey, we're in Magaluf, its only a place to get your head down. No Aircon, even though we paid for it, and refused to give refund so had to revert to sleeping on the balcony or opening the door and window to get some air in. Food was very repetitive, and most of the time inedible so we reverted to eating out in Magaluf or Palma Nova for lunch and evening meals. All Inc drinks were good choice, although if i am sitting inside the sports bar I would love to drink out of a glass not a plastic cup. Also, I am aware of the name the Brits get when they go away, however in the 10 nights we were there there was only 1 group of lads (6 in total) the rest were spanish on there school holidays. Whilst I was there i saw a young lad (approx 18yrs old, 5'5" 10 stone if that) thrown out (physically pushed out) of the restaurant by staff for trying to bring a DRY beech towel into the restaurant as the sunbeds had all been taken. I did the same thing the day after (im 6'2, 18 stone with a decent muscular physique doorman) and the guy didn't even look at me twice even though I made it obvious by dragging it. Would I go again, not really. Not unless all the rooms had been redecorated to match downstairs and the food was much better with more options (burgers and chips, a bolognaise with hardly any meat and overcooked dry chicken), and staff were better.
This hotel is really handy for the beach and tucked away so it's pretty quiet for Magaluf to , food is good and breakfast is really good , shops close by and walking distance to main resorts , pool area on the small side but you can go next door to the Barracuda where the pool area is larger
This Hotel is exactly what you would expect for a 3 star. Everything is clean and tidy. The food is not extensive but is cooked properly and fresh. The staff were fantastic. The pool is cleaned daily.
It's clean and tidy, rooms are all a good size, 3 adults in ours, foods good something for everyone, downhill to the beach about 5 mins walk,2 pools both a good size, there's a right mix of ages here , this is not where I'd normally stay but the wife and I wouldn't come to magaluf anyway, saying that the hotel is much better than I anticipated. So it's a great holiday for those seeking a party, I'm 49 and I'll leave it too the younger ones, having a blast tho,
Poor food and rooms, ideal location for crashing out and heading to the beach to sleep, full of drunks but that's what we go to magaluf for right?!? If you want peace and quiet don't come here, if you want a good base to get smashed and enjoy magaluf then head here, take the cheapest online, expect to get what our pay for, the beach is free so head there as much as you can, go home get changed and head to the strip, you will have the time of your life
Seen some bad reviews of this hotel, but can't see the problem with it. Excellent location, excellent food & friendly staff. Got amazing swimming pools & a tremendous sports bar. Being on a stag do & we all enjoyed the holiday
Went here 2 couples mid 30s was abit worried as knew it would be full of young ones but we had a great laugh with everyone we met we where in newer part which was lovely rooms where small but for all u are in them didnt bother me and im A girl that likes space to get ready lol food when we ate was nice could always find something there where 2nice chilled out pools although we kept saying we would go one day we didnt we where to scared to miss out on all the madness at the bcm party pool was brilliant only think that annoyed me was the bar one drink per person was a nightmare especially for someone who hates walking the length of there-self slushes and vodka where good i would defo come here again as walking distance to the nightlife etc to
After reading some of the reviews we were a bit worried about this holiday, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The food is a bit bland, but it's OK, with plenty of variety. The cooked breakfast is excellent. They serve food on a 24 hour basis. How many hotels do that? It's probably due to many of the guest's nocturnal habits, but very handy nevertheless. It's a bit odd that you have to book 'The Kitchen' restaurant, as it was never full and the food was the same as at the other restaurant. I can't explain that one! I read complaints of people saying you can only get one drink at a time, but didn't find this. San Maguel is on tap in the restaurants. What more could you want? :-) The own brand spirits were very good. I loved the slush puppies with rum. The rooms are pretty basic, but comfortable enough. You get what you pay for in life. The view from our room was simply breathtaking. We had the view of the whole of the bay of Palma, from Magaluf beach all the way to Palma and the rest of the bay, with the mountains behind. You could even make out Palma cathedral in the distance. If you can, try and get a seventh floor room, with a sea view. I've been lucky enough to stay in many hotels around the world, but this was the best view I've had. There are three pools at the hotel, which were all spotlessly clean. I didn't see a single insect or leaf in any of them, which is quite an achievement! The main pool, near the pool bar, is the best one, with a shallow area that was nice to lie in or just to wet your feet in when it got too hot. Sun loungers were easily available up until 10am at the main pool and were available all day at the other pools. The pool at the other hotel gets noisy, as they play dance music here in the afternoons. Talking of noise, this can be a problem here. Being an 18-30 all adult hotel in Magaluf you would expect that, but we were unlucky to have an extremely loud group next to us, who seemed to enjoy playing football in their room at 4am in the morning, with our adjoining wall as one of the goals! After two nights we reported the matter to Reception and they resolved the issue. So, if you have issues with noisy guests, the management will deal with it for you. It is embarrassing, as a proud Brit, to see some of the behaviour that we get up to when we've had too much to drink. We found piles of puke and used condoms on the beach and in the street, not in the hotel fortunately. All the poor behaviour we saw was from British people, I'm sorry to say. Why do they have to upset other people for the sake of their own enjoyment? The beach and main strip is only a short walk away, with some great snorkeling available. Some of the best snorkeling we've done on any holiday. We had to pay 30 euros (with 10 euros refundable) for a safe, which was a bit steep. They charged 10 euros for the use of the TV, which only had four channels! Wifi is free, but only available around the ground floor and pool areas. Last but not least, it's an adult hotel, with no kids!! Great not to have them running around screaming the house down! If you can look beyond the idiots you can have a good time here. Just be brave and take the plunge!
Me and my friends went to the Fergus resort In June/ July for a weeks all inclusive, we paid 650 pounds for our holiday. This hotel is two hotels named under the one complex Fergus pax and Fergus barracuda, we were in the barracuda.. Firstly to begin our rooms.. Basic rooms which were cleaned every day, gave new towels every day but our bed sheets were never changed, the maids only made our beds! Secondly our shower was broke 5 times we had to complain about this and nothing was done we had to use our friends shower In their room, on our 5th day two days before we were going home it finally got fixed. The food was disgusting, I could not eat in this hotel at all, same food every single day for lunch and dinners.. Pasta and sauce for lunch which was left out and not covered the full day and for dinner it was rice with fish or fish pasta! This hotel has 2 pool areas, large pools which was great but not enough sun loungers to cater for all guests, it was a Spanish student weekend the week we went so our hotel was accommodated by Spanish students who took over the two pool areas, no other sun loungers put out for other guests. They were always all over the reception area couldn't get moving and at dinner time! Not to mention how rude they were. For it being an 18-30s hotel no music was played at pool areas was rather boring, the All inclusive bar was limited to what you could get, a sex on the beach or a vodka and mixer also 1 drink per person was ridiculous! The staff of the hotel at the reception were very friendly cannot fault them and the manners of them but as whole this hotel wasn't great at all!
The people that are leaving good reviews on this hotel are lying!! And would not suprise me if it was staff or friends of staff asking them to give good feedback. I booked this hotel for my honeymoon with my husband and it's absolutely awful I have been here for 1 night and been swapped rooms 3 times!! 1st room had skid marks all over the bed clearly hadn't been changed 2nd room was covered in mould and the 3rd room balcony doesn't lock. The staff haven't been very helpful and the Thomson rep we was told about doesn't exist or doesnt bother looking after there customers it's not worth the money at all the hotel is completely run down condoms in hallways.. people having sex in the lifts smashed glass everywhere and the smell is unbareable so upset they have ruined one of the best times of my life and will never book with then again
