My wife and I stayed on evening to attend a Gala Dinner at a conference we were attending. Our room on 5th floor was clean, comfortable and well equipped except that there was no tea/coffee maker. Breakfast buffet was good with an excellent range of fruits, continental breakfast items, hot breakfast dishes and breads and pastries. Similar to the resort in which we stayed for the majority of our visit, and as we find in the USA, what is served as bacon is disappointing. The Gala Dinner was excellent one of the best function meals I have had the pleasure to attend The food was tasty, hot and well served. Overall, regarding the few staff we met, I cannot fault the service at this hotel.
II stayed here back in September for 4 days. It is a fabulous hotel great reception area that gives a wow factor and not to far from the airport by transfer. We had a triple room and it was nice and spacious always clean, the bathroom was also very nice it was a little small but had everything you need with a lovely walk in shower. I think ours had been newly refurbished as we had friends on the other side of the hotel and theirs sounded a little dated but it is a huge hotel so sure it will get done. The food was lovely, so much choice on the buffet counters and nice cooked fresh counter too. In the evenings it was never too busy but sometimes breakfast was too crowded but still bearable and the staff were always topping up. Outside was nice the pool was a good size but the sun loungers were a difficult situation as only 2 small areas got the sun all day so it was a bit of a race in the morning to get a good spot this is the only main down side if you are there to sun bathe. Another issue is the walk to the rooms it is very long, we had to go down from reception along a corridor up in another lift to get to our room, if you have mobility issues this maybe a problem as I couldn't see any rooms that were closer but I could be wrong. it was close to town although we never walked but the taxis were quick and cheap and there was a spar shop just across the road which was very handy. I would definitely recommend staying here and I would stay again if I go back for sure!
Unfortunately a great location and venue is spoilt by what can only be described as non-existent guest service, very basic rooms and strange policies. I visited for a 9 day business conference. To provide some examples to support my summary: 1. During breakfast on 3 occasions I was told by the chef she was too busy to make an omelet. 2. Received a scowl and finger shake for turning two tables of two into a table of four. Mainly I assume as it left a pile of dust on the floor from some poor cleaning. 3. I forgot a piece the card attachment that accompanies the room key. Due to this I was told I couldn’t sign any drinks to my room and would have to pay by cash. Terrible attitude from the server with no attempt to reconcile. 4. You are required to pay a daily rate for use of the in room safe?! First I have ever encountered this. 5. No tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom. 6. Cleaning services just walk into rooms unannounced. The hotel is fortunately saved by some great service and friendly atmosphere from the restaurants across the road from the hotel itself. You also have great access to Puerto Banus with other places to visit. If you are visiting to spend little time in the hotel this would be fine. Any length of time in the hotel and you would be pulling your hair out!!
The hotel appears great, however 25 degrees outside no air con inside and cannot open room patio door due to road noise!! Yes a dual carriageway outside, do not book this hotel! You will not sleep!! The lift squeaks and squeals throughout the night and the staff look at me as if they don’t know- hideous!! Take the above out and yes the hotel is great but I will never book here again.
Booked package here for 7 nts in privilege room on 5th floor check inn quick and helpful young lady informed us off all the benefits off privilege. Room large and spacious clean good bed with choice off pillows room safe coffee machine included Now the negative part the a/c in room did not work which is bad for hotel meant to be 4star when complained they told sleep with the door open and other guests want heat really!! Pay a lot off money no a/c when talking with other guests they have a/c in the other building, the location off my room facing busy road which is loud 24/7 no good Food in restaurant buffet style at breakfast good selection fresh omelette or pancakes good. Dinner food Luke warm good choice but my personal preference not always good. Overall apart from couple off negatives the hotel is Execellent location 15 mins walk to marina through the tunnel which was well lit and cctv covered in general staff good swimming pool and outdoor areas and would consider staying here if in the area. Special mention must to Ana in guest service who did help with the a/c issue, also the room maids who work hard and do good job and to the young lady called omaira at the restaurant who has always got a smile and helpful and welcoming
I travelled here at the end of October - it was still 27ºc and this hotel was spot on, it was immaculate! Whilst I was here for a conference we had plenty of free time to explore and I have actually booked a short break to return in May next year. The room was very spacious, modern and had a modern bathroom. The breakfast and evening meal in the restaurants were very tasty and there was plenty of choice even for the most picky eater! The marina at Puerto Banus is around 10-15 minutes stroll away making this a great choice for a quiet base but within easy walk of the main centre. The Sports Bar across the road was a good choice for a little more life if you wanted it.
Repeat stay a few years since my last visit. Hotel has been refurbed well and ticks the boxes for a 4 star. Good location close for the Port, restaurants and shops. Check-in and staff very good. Free upgrade which was nice touch. Lots of golfers at this time of year so quiet but would recommend for price.
We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights on a half board basis. The hotel is lovely, all very clean and well maintained. The breakfast choice was plentiful with fresh eggs, omelettes and pancakes made to order. Dinner was on a themed basis and this meant that it was varied and again as it is buffet this was always tasty and continually topped up. The location of the hotel is good, only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Puerto Banus, however it is right next to a main dual carriageway and as our room was overlooking this road it was extremely noisy both day and night, the up side of the room was that we had a sea view, but because it was still warm 25 degrees and the room got sun all day the room was very warm and because it was out of season the air conditioning was virtually non existent which meant we had to put up with the road noise and have the patio door open over night. Would suggest forfeiting the sea view and asking for a room at the side of the hotel which should be more peaceful. The sports bar opposite the hotel was excellent value if you fancied a change to the hotel bar but didn't want to walk into Puerto Banus.
We have just returned from a week at the H10 Andalucia Plaza. It was a wonderful place to spend the week with a great selection of food and service that indicated a well run hotel. We stayed on the 5th floor in a Privilege room with it’s associated benefits which were worth having. We shall now look for H10 hotels in other locations and try and repeat our wonderful week
Customer service non existent, rooms just average , power outage on my floor with no apologies or even given a reason when I called reception . Certainly will not be rushing back here again . After a fabulous week in a real five star hotel in Cyprus where customer service was king. this hotel needs a lesson in customer service . Hopefully someone from the H10 head office will check this place out as an undercover guest . Overpriced and underwhelming.👎
