Nice service and fresh clean rooms in the middle of Malaga. Close proximity to everything. Including parking. Nice and helpful personel. Only thing missing is a pool. Had a very nice visit here and will return.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The location could not have been more perfect and centrally located, and the room was amazing. I will say though, we upgraded our room to the junior suite because the regular room was pretty terrible (small and no window) so it is more than worth it to upgrade. The suite is huge and the view from our bed was amazing. Lots of natural light too! Also don't miss the roof top bar!
We had booked a different hotel originally but a tripadvisor review suggested that staying in the area near the station was pretty dull, so we changed at the last minute to this one. What a great decision it turned out to be. The hotel overlooks the main square in the old town and is at the heart of the pedestrianised central area. We arrived mid morning but they happily let us in to a room (an upgrade for only 10 euros as it happens) which had a magnificent view over Constitution Square itself. The staff were superb - very efficient and helpful. The room was very well appointed and comfortable - with a reasonably priced minibar too. The hotel interior is modern and attractive, and breakfast in the spacious cafe/bar area was relaxing.
6 nights at the Mate Larios, the location is perfect, most things within walking distance. The staff was courteous, professional and eager to help with any request and inquiries. Front desk staff, friendly and kind they helped make my stay even more pleasant. We would stay here again.
From moment we arrived at hotel treated as special staff are very willing to help and friendly. Location is perfect right on the main strip centre of town. Great for shopping and eating. Access to buses and about 1km from the main beach. Rooms were exception bed large and comfortable lots of pillows!!
Arrived Monday for just one night. Booked a room with a view over Calle Larios towards the cathedral. Taxi took us to the Plaza Constitucion which is about as near as you can get by car. Only very short walk to hotel. Reception staff very helpful and spoke both Spanish and English. Had booked and paid previously on line so check in was quite straight forward. Room was clean and very pleasant. Decor was very good condition. Good size bed and bath as well as shower. In room mini bar and safe. Ideally located for central Malaga. Very short walk to cathedral, art galleries and museum. As you step out of the hotel you in the main shopping street. The port is a bit of a walk as are some of the department stores. Very good hotel, great for enjoying Málaga night and day. Recommend it.
This hotel has the best location in Malaga, facing the Marques de Larios street and Plaza de la Constitucion. It is a small hotel, but verynice, the room facing the street are a plus with such a nice view . breakfast is very nice and the place looking at Plaza de la Constitucion can make your day. The beds are so comfortable, the bar in the top terrace it is fantastic, has a beatiful view of the Malaga's Cathedral. I stay for a week and I wish I could stay longer, the best treasure of this hotel is the staff, I had travelled so many countries and have stayed in so many hotels, but never find the warmest , corteous staff, that make you feel at home, Mari Carmen, Mar, Guicha, Juan Carlos, Oscar, Cristina, and Borja the director are the best team in the World. I will be back, and for sure I recommend the hotel.
We loved our stay at the Room Mate Larios. It is right off a central downtown square so you are right in the midst of the bustle and walkable to everything. The room was really comfortable, with a little kitchenette that was perfect for traveling as a family. The staff (particularly housekeeping and front desk) were very, very helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Additional note, we needed a babysitter and the hotel was able to recommend a staff member who did a terrific job with our daughter!
We stayed for one night at the Room Mate Larios In Malaga before we headed out of Spain. It is right in the old town and a great location to walk everywhere. The room was large had a lovely french balcony. It looked newly refinished. The bed was very comfortable and despite being right in the middle of town it was very quiet to sleep. The breakfast is not included, but we opted to have the buffet breakfast and it was well worth it. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.
My health has been poor for the last 3 years and until then I had visited old town Malaga 3 times with family. As I am lucky to now have returning health, I visited Malaga these last 3 days and stayed at Room Mate Larios. This was 'me' time! My life is always with others work and home and I wanted a short retreat, but not cut off from the world. To be honest, having just returned home, I keep pinching myself wondering if it has all been a dream! The bus journey was simple from the airport, 3 euros. The weather has been fabulous, not too hot and the lovely gentle breeze from the sea makes this an ideal time to visit, especially if like me you don't like it too hot. I upgraded to a street view room and then worried about noise level...needlessly! I watched a fashion show one evening in the week and despite all the noise, the sound proofing for the bedroom is fabulous. It was lovely watching the world go by from my room, from demonstrations to street artists! Initial niggle over the bed being 2 single and not a double as booked soon subsided as they were so unbelievably comfortable...in fact I slept in till mid morning which isn't like me at all! I didn't originally book the breakfast buffet as often you can find cheaper/better once outside a hotel...but this was amazing value and so leisurely. I so enjoyed fresh orange juice, plentiful coffee, a variety of cheeses, ham, breads, cereals and fruit. The Spanish omelette was particularly wonderful...yummy. Water was not in my room on arrival, but was there the second day and a lovely welcome card, sweets and gifts. Thank you so much. I drifted through the days in and out of lovely shops, visiting art galleries, walking by the sea and the harbor, stopping off at quaint side street coffee houses and shops with an incredible array of ice creams! It was lovely to amble round the Picasso history and see the amazing amphitheatre and castle again. What a wonderful city and especially this hotel. Despite it being a city with a buzz for being with others...it is also a welcoming place if you want your own time. Thank you so much.
