Fabulous hotel. Incredible staff was super helpful. Food was great. Room was excellent. Best spa and hot tub area with wonderful views of the town and Beagle Channel. A truly world class, five star resort.
This is a hotel that has a great view, comfort, and wonderful accomadatios and staff........reason enough to return to Ushuaia
Hotel looks high class. Having shuttle to downtown is nice.Food was average. At room service, maid took towels from bathroom floor and hung them on hooks to reuse instead of supplying with fresh towels. This is utmost disgusting and have never seen this kind of poor service. When we called front desk to report, they didn’t bother to know the details, but simply wanted to know how many fresh towels we need and sent those. It makes me think it is their standard practice to hang towels from bathroom floor and they have no interest to not repeat this.
The reason I didn´t give a perfect score was the aloofness of some of the restaurant staff. At breakfast, they don´t seem to pay much attention to serving coffee. Some days they would offer it right away; others, they wouldn't. One normally expects refills. Every day, when we wanted coffee, we had to either go look for the staff who were somewhere in the vast room, standing by themselves or chatting with one another, or try to get the coffee ourselves, which would get them agitated and running towards you saying "we can do that." Another problem was Internet service, which was spotty. If you don´t have much work to do, this will probably not matter, but I had to send some work e-mails and it took many tries to get them through.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and were sad to say goodbye when we left. We did a private mountain hike with incredible views, visited their spa for massages and swam in their amazing pool that overlooks the Beagle Channel and the mountain ranges in Chile. I have never had an experience like that. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating and gave great recommendations for places to visit in the town.
Overall speaking, the hotel is excellent in all aspects, except that the check-in staff could not locate our booking and it took 30 mins for her to sort it out.
Great location with grand view of Ushuaia. Nice facilities with comfortable room, out door spa and pool. However, the services were not meeting the 5 stars hotel standards.
