Very trendy and comfortable hotel in a great location with amazing views from its rooftop terrace and bar (and swimming pool). But not a place for light sleepers like myself. Both the front and the internal rooms suffer from loads of noise pollution (from the street and from the internal elevator noises). The rooms on the side are better as the street is mostly pedestrianised. But all rooms suffer from having wooden laminate flooring which amplifies the sounds of foot steps and dropped items in the rooms above you. Another small niggle: this hotel has the worst elevator system I've ever encountered (slow, confusing, and incredibly frustrating)! There is a hidden service elevator which is available to use and you'll want to find it.
This hotel wants to charge 8 euros per person to spend money in their roof top bar at 8:30pm on a Saturday. We wanted to have a look and a drink as we were considering staying here next time we are in Malaga. Now we definitely will not be staying here. Hotel's should be welcoming and I hope this ridiculous policy is reconsidered.
First time to visit the city of Malaga and arrived at the AC Marriott to a wonderful warm welcome. We got upgraded to a room with a balcony & view of both port and city - it made our weekend visit. The hotel is situated in perfect location just minutes from the Cathedral and the center of city but also directly opposite the port. Fab to wake up in the morning and watch the cruise liners arrive in port. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from the buffet. The roof top bar was amazing to sit and enjoy a drink while the sun went down. Overall I would definitely return to this hotel and have no hesitation in recommending, well worth the price.
The location of this Hotel in downtown Malaga is second to none with everything just a short stroll away. Service was perfect, friendly and very attentive - and THEN THE ROOFTOP PATIO with a commanding view of the harbour and the entire city all inclusive with poolside bar and restaurant. We dined at the restaurant and found the food very good. Good place for a stay in lovely Malaga.
This hotel has a great location , near a beautiful church over looking the Mediterranean . Hotel is very clean and great breakfast . I would recommend this hotel. A must see would be the rooftop terrace , very nice. The workout room was suitable.
We had to book an overnight because of a late arrival at the airport, this proved to be great choice. 1 hour from landing we were in our room, coffee and cake on their wonderful roof top terrace ( open until midnight ) 5 minutes by taxi to the station next morning. Not cheap but worth every penny . Great service .
Loved this hotel, staff were great. Valet parking so that was one nightmare avoided. Really close to great shopping and restaurants. The rooftop has a pool with possibility the best gin bar! And a great restaurant with amazing views.
What can I start with? We had issues settling in at first as I was staying with my parents who I am a carer for and had asked for the rooms to be put together. Upon check in we noted they were not and I spent an hour on the phone to the manager trying to sort it out - an hour of wasted time in a beautiful city like Malaga. Eventually though it was sorted and we were upgraded to the penthouse suite. This penthouse suite was absolutely amazing with views of the cathedral from one room and the sea on the other. The location of the hotel is spot on as well just 15 mins walk from malagueta beach and the it is in the centre of town. If you have money to pay and want a good location this is the hotel to stay at. We did not eat breakfast here as there were so many offers for cheaper and more diverse than the hotel
The drinks and cocktails are not the best, however, the view and the environment is very good, food is goo too. Every time a visit Malaga I go to that place just because of the view, Malaga is soo beautiful and this place give you the opportunity to have a nice picture.
Couldn't ask for a better location, great views. Enormous suites--a very pleasant surprise how much space we had!! All our rooms had spacious balconies with great views of the water. Not a particularly stylish hotel, not a lot of character, but efficient service. Would definitely stay here again!
