As a Gold Elite Member and as part of the Marriott chain - expected a lot more. Not busy at all in the rooftop restaurant and a great location. But : Ignored for 10 minutes. Two selections made - neither available. More interested in cleaning glasses on back than serving anyone. Great location but my goodness what a let down - should be the premiere restaurant in Malaga with that view but all around bars and restaurants were full - this one was empty - now I know why. Walked out after 15 minutes.
This hotel was very convenient to walk to many historic sites, tapas bars and shopping. The staff were very attentive. Parked the rental car and walked or took taxis as needed (to Alhambra etc). I did not eat at the hotel.
Really nice location to have some drinks in the evening. We were seated quickly and because of the fresh breeze this evening, we were provided with blankets and heaters fast. They have many good wines and cocktails of course. I would highly recommend it.
When younger some of us were a little snobby about holidays of a package type and preferred to plan and arrange our own. Now a little older, maybe even wiser, some of us are committed members of the KISS brigade, keep it simple stupid. The first reason, by a mile, why a package holiday is now a serious consideration is that we now we prefer hassle free vacations and like to feel comfortable and secure in pre booked destinations, appreciate arranged transfers and have no problems with the back up and support of local guides and the host company. It's a common misconception that DIY holidays are always cheaper. This is one of our favourite hotels in Malaga primarily because of its location. It is within walking distance of many of our favourites spots, the Picasso museum, Calle Larios, the Port area and the ancient palatial Alcazaba fortification. The area is safe and some of the best bars and restaurants are a mere stroll away. The views from the rooftop bar are truly stunning particularly around sunset, staff are courteous, accommodation is comfortable and functional and finally Malaga is a great city to visit at any time of the year.
We stayed in the Palacio last week and were very pleased. The best feature of the hotel is it's location. Right next to the Cathedral and a short walk to the Alcazaba ,the Pompidou Centre, the beach and the Old Town. The bedroom was very good, the bed very comfortable, not hard . Breakfast was the usual buffet and while we have had better ,it was good (as it should be for 16.50€ .) There is a roof top pool but the view from there is the real attraction. We are happy to recommend this hotel to friends.
The hotel is located at the south end of old town and very conveniento to ge to many restaurants and shops. Also it is only 10 minutes walk to get to the seaside where you can see the museum, port and beach. I recomend that you should go to the roof top bar because it is fantastic view of Malaga port, castle and part of town.
Beatifull hotel located in the hearth of Malaga close to the beach/port/shopping streets. Staff very welcoming and renovated rooms. Exellent Free wifi and very good breakfast make that hotel one of the best one around. If you pass by,it is the place to stay.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Room on the 14th floor has superb seaview. The hotel is located in the historic center and not far from the beach and Muelle Uno. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The position of the hotel is excellent, there are many different bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Although there is a main road near by there is no problem with any noise as the rooms are well soundproofed. Breakfast is good with plenty of selection of hot and cold food, although the dining room can get quite congested at busy times. All the staff we talked to were very helpful and friendly. We will be using this hotel again.
What a great view form the roof terrace! We did not spend the nights here but only visited the bar/restaurant on top of the hotel. We were not allowed to use the swimming pool. But the views were great.
