The day I arrived the counter service was very slow long register first and take the card only at 3pm waste my time queuing twice. Carparks everyday need to be validated before leaving the hotel this is not necessary. The toilet flush was working, and the phone cable was broken. The toilet is not clean and has a very bad odor. Second day didn't make up the room despite calling the house keeping. Paid for the breakfast on the very first at the counter but they didn't update the list every morning they asked the same question. This is my second time but didn't expect such service. Will not book this hotel again.

We had a wonderful stay at Hatten Hotel Melaka. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was absolutely spotless, which we really appreciated. Special shoutout to Azman from the concierge team — he proactively approached us when he saw we were carrying a lot of items and kindly offered to help bring everything up to our rooms. That level of attentiveness and care truly stood out and made us feel very well taken care of. The service from all staff was excellent throughout our stay — friendly, professional, and helpful. The location is also a big plus, with three shopping malls within walking distance and very convenient access to the bus pickup point, making it easy to get around Melaka. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Melaka, especially if you value good service and a convenient location.

The breakfast was NOT FREE! We paid 20 Ringie for each of us each day -- total 200 for 2 people for 5 days. The air conditioner was not removing the humidity and caused the room to have a musty odor. The room was serviced twice in five days because we were getting ready for bed (about 7:00 to 8:00 PM) when they wanted to service the room. We told them not to bother. Very disappointed!

I am writing to share feedback from our recent stay, with the intention of helping improve the overall guest experience.We booked five rooms and checked in early, as some family members were arriving a day later. During booking and check-in, we requested for the rooms to be on the same level and preferably close to one another. We understand this is subject to availability, and we were pleased that on Sunday, this arrangement was initially confirmed. During check-in, the staff assisting us informed us that one room was not ready and asked us to return in 30 minutes. When we came back, we were told that the room had already been taken up, and we were reassigned to a different room on another level. Although the team who attended to us later was apologetic, this was frustrating given the earlier assurance provided. I raised this matter to Mr Helmy. Unfortunately, his response came across as nonchalant and not customer-focused. He did not attempt to meaningfully address our concerns or show empathy. I am unsure if he is a manager or team lead, but his handling of the situation left a poor impression. The following day, we decided to try the gaming option offered by the hotel. My wife waited for more than 20 minutes, only to be informed that it was already full. This information could have been communicated earlier to avoid unnecessary waiting. I would also like to highlight an area for improvement during check-in and check-out. Queue management was disorganised, with guests crow

THIS IS A SELF PROCLAIMED 5 STAR HOTEL, and at BEST A 3 STAR EXPERIENCE. Would suggest going to Marriott Courtyard or Doubletree Hilton instead. Rooms and lobbies are old fashioned and a little dirty tbh. I checked in to my room at around 8pm and it was such a below average experience. There was no hair dryer in the room and the refreshments kit was minimal. My safety deposit box was locked and I called the management at least 5 times to fix it. They promised to get it fixed only to make me wait over an hour till 12.30am and no response even then. I had to wake up for a polo game at 5.30am but THEY JUST DID NOT CARE.. Finally the box is STILL NOT FIXED AND idk where to keep my expensive belongings!!!!

The room is very spacious. Even with the windows closed, I could hear kids swimming on the 12th floor from my 14th floor room. The furnishings are a bit worn. The doormen and front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. There were a wide variety of food available at the breakfast buffet. Tast wise it was average. The staff cleared the table amd replenished food very promptly

We booked deluxe suite for 3 Days 2 nights. After the first night, we found live cockroaches running inside the bathroom. This is ultimate red flag for us. The hotel changed our room and gave us a small upgrade. Our new room face the main road and on this Friday night, there are probably around 100 motorcycles racing on the street. Hatten Hotel is located inside the illegal race track of these irritating daredevils racers. i am writing this review at about 1am and the noise is still going on. These motorbikes have been racing for the last 2 hours and over 10 rounds at least. I called the front desk/operator to complain. They are aware of this illegal racing activity that goes on every weekend. The hotel does not have ear plugs. Hotel guests have to endure these noises until the illegal race is over (???). This is totally unacceptable and we are not able to sleep at all with these noises going on.

When I made the reservation, I specifically requested for 2 twin beds as I was traveling with my husband and my 12 years old son. It was not prepared for us. And the bed was extremely dirty and full of bugs (not sure what kind of bugs) that we were bitten so badly. The toilet bowl and toilet seat were also so dirty. I told my husband I did not hear any sound of vacuum which showed the staff vacuumed the rooms. It was such an unpleasant 2 nights stay.
