The property is listed as 4 stars, but it feels quite deteriorated and no longer matches that category. The online photos appear outdated and do not reflect the current condition of the hotel. There was a constant sewer-like smell in the hallways and common areas — not inside the rooms, but present throughout the building despite efforts to mask it with scents. My room also had a leak in the bathroom ceiling. I think Hotels.com should consider reviewing or verifying the star ratings displayed on the site. Some hotels clearly haven’t been requalified or inspected in years, and this affects trust in the platform. Guests rely on those ratings to make informed choices, so keeping them accurate and up to date would make a real difference.

This property is conveniently located right on Gran Vía in Madrid — close to everything you could possibly need. Despite the vibrant hustle and bustle of the city outside, the hotel feels comfortable and cozy, offering a nice retreat to rest. The lobby is quite small and can feel a bit crowded at times, and the sofa bed did not smell amazing. However, these were minor details and did not affect our overall experience. Overall, a great place to stay in the heart of Madrid!

The property is very centric, walkable to most attractions. Breakfast is ok but sometimes a little crowded because this hotel offers breakfast for all other sister hotels. We were never able to enjoy Ella Sky bar because it was always crowded with people not staying at the property. The staff is nice and helpful. The good thing is you have a washer/dryer inside the unit you rent. So that a plus in Spain.

Lovely 1 bed apartment for 10 days, immaculate, clean and great service from the friendly reception desk. Right next to Callao station and central to everywhere. Only criticism was we thought the sky bar would be open all day for guests to use and chill and read and somewhere to escape to. Other than that, it was a fantastic place!

Close to shops and walking distance to Sol , Callao and Gran Via. Dryer option for washer dryer wasn’t working which I wasn’t informed prior to booking. I was staying in a different hotel prior and one of the reason why I transferred to Smartrental is d/t the availability of washer dryer since I need clean clothes prior to my trip to Paris and Rome.

This stay was all about location—right in the heart of Gran Vía, with everything you need close by, including a grocery store. The apartment had a well-equipped kitchen and even included a small pack of detergent for laundry, which was a nice touch. The rooftop bar offered stunning views of the city and was a great place to unwind. Staff was generally friendly, though a bit more attentiveness would’ve made the experience even better. One thing to note is that at night, there were quite a few people sleeping on the street nearby, which made the area feel a bit less safe—though this is not uncommon in the downtown areas of major cities. Overall, a very convenient and enjoyable place to stay—would recommend.

Very clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Two bedroom with two shower rooms, living room and kitchen. Close to all shopping, restaurants and much, much more. However, in the two bedroom we rented for our family for one night, both showers didn’t work and we had to leave to catch a long flight without showers. Front desk person was alone and no one seemed available to solve the problem. We have not heard from the property about compensation despite a follow up email. Would not stay here again. Had greet luck with our other accommodations-Roommate Alba and Sofitel

We had a great time, the hotel is very well located. the staff was very cordial and helpful, and the apartment was as advertised. The place was clean, and it was well equipped. The surroundings were a bit noisy but nothing too grave.

Location is excellent is on the middle of everything .you can walk easy to a lot of attraction . But the hotel need improve on the so fi connection that was horrible and also on improve the staff for clean the rooms . We had a not so good experience. The staff take almost all day to come and clean. But besides this 2 points that I believe need improve the hotel is very good and location is excellent .
