Stayed here for two nights, location is fantastic just of Sol station, staff were super friendly and the room was very well presented. The hotel is elegant and security is really good if your looking for privacy. Super great central location. I opted for a one person room room was great. Good WiFi as well.
This is nice hotel located in the city center just a few steps away from Puerta del Sol. Rooms are ok, breakfest is good but We had bad excperiaince with check in. We were waiting 15 minutes to make check in in hotel and after 15 minutes waiting the reception girl send us to the wrong part of hotel. This was prety frustraiting after 4 hours in plane. Everything else was ok.
The reception itself from the staff was warm and friendly. Our room was spacious and spotless and at the back so, although we had no view, it was perfectly quiet at night. The breakfast area is spectacular (as can be seen from the 'photos). But at 13€ was not good value - hence one dropped star. There are lots of good cafes nearby. The hotel's position is perfect for exploring Madrid. But a word of warning - it is right in the middle of Madrid's red light area!!
This is a great hotel for Madrid, central location with clean and tidy rooms, there isn't a large selection for breakfast but the food that is there is nice. Staff were very helpful and gave us a free upgrade for late checkout.
the location is great. the hotel is located near plaza del sol in a walking distance from all museumes and close to the shopping area. we asked for a room in the back of the hotel and slept very goood...the view wasn't something to write about but as long as we didnt hear anything from the street it was great :). the staff was amazing ! very helpful and spoke english very well. the room was spacious and clean the bathroom was great. breakfast was nice. I reccomand this hotel ! it fulfilled all of our expectations.
The hotel is centrally located on small side street. Just minutes away from shopping areas, good restaurants and subway station. Walking distance to many sights like the Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace etc. Unfortunately, there are some night clubs near the hotel and it got very noisy after midnight on Friday and Saturday. Good breakfast buffet in a nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly.
We booked a double room on the internet to celebrate our wedding Anniversary , we had Guaranteed room as per photo. Our flight was delayed 3 and half hours , we arrived to the hotel 10pm very exhausted to hear "sorry we are fully booked and we can't give you the room you booked, we have to give you another room. We are sure you will not like but we have no choice! After arguing with reception we went to the room they offered us. The celling over the bed was so low. You couldn't sleep in this room , It should never have been a room in the hotel but a storage room. After we had long argument the receptionist agree to gave us a room similar to the one we booked. This was still very cramped so we upgraded at our cost to a suite. The room was clean and service was good, the breakfast selection good but cooked food very greasy. Hotel location is good. We had booked an fully paid for our room in advance so should never have had the battle to get a usable room on arrival. The suite upgrade should have been offered at hotel cost if the room we had booked was not available.
We selected this hotel because it was centrally located and very near where our daughter was living for the year and it did not disappoint in that respect. However, if you are taller than five feet do not accept a room on the fifth floor of this hotel as you will be hitting your head incessantly on the "ceiling" of the room. In addition, there is no air conditioning during the "winter" months and the fifth floor can get very warm. Having left the window open at bedtime to cool off a bit we were rocked awake by what we guessed were trash receptacles being emptied.....many, many trash receptacles. This was followed by raucous partying from what was apparently a bar located nearby. it was so bad I had to find a white noise app and shove the earphones into my ears to get to sleep. After my husband hit his head very hard on the sloped "ceiling" the front desk agreed to give us a different room in the hotel. The staff was kind and courteous. The room was clean and nicely furnished. I probably would not stay here again.
Fantastic location for getting around madrid. It's very clean and stylish. You are two minutes walk to grand via and two minutes walk from sol tube stop . You have bars just around the corner. I would stay again. It's very noisy on Saturday nights as there's a night club on the same street and slot of people are outside smoking and drinking. But Sunday and Monday was very quiet.
This hotel is rather elegant and very central, although in a back street. Our room was in the back, so very quiet at night. Our room and bathroom were good and very clean with a free safe in the bedroom. There are no tea and coffee making facilities (we took our own!) The wifi was very poor and the T.V. only had two English channels, which didn't always work well. Breakfast is 13 euros and the offerings were O.K. but I have had better. There are plenty of cafes etc. nearby for a good breakfast. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. There is plenty of room in the hotel lobby to sit and relax.
