Stayed a couple of nights on Nov/17. The room was very good, no excessive perks, all you need, good bed, coffee machine, good bathroom etc.Would highly recommend. Location is very convenient, close to Parque del Retiro and Serrano Av. Metro and trains almost next door.

This is a nice hotel in a fabulous location for exploring Salamanca, our favourite part of Madrid. Well designed room (we were in 524), great bathroom (shower only which we like) with all the expected amenities. Service is a little nonexistent (think of it more like a apartment): if you have a drink at the bar you are lucky if you do not have to go down a flight of stairs to reception to get a waiter sent to the area. Just before leaving for the airport we ordered a two glasses of cava and had to laugh when we were served a room service size bottle and after putting a small amount in each glass the waiter put the tiny bottle in a tiny ice bucket! Everywhere else we went a full glass of cava is poured at the table from a full size bottle - others at the bar were also having issues and as soon as both tables were served the waiter disappeared- had to go downstairs again to get someone sent to the bar so we could pay. We found it walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. Recommend for a conveniently located hotel and a nice room but during our stay service was negligible: no greeting on entry/exit, no service on the terrace (pool area) and minimal service at the bar. A great location and room, shame the service and ambience is missing.

Spent 3 nights with my family and we had an amazing time! Walking distance from Calle Serrano (one of the most famous shopping street!) and Platea (amazing fancy mercado). The breakfast was delicious with tons of options. Loved our stay. Definitely coming back!

Had 5 nights at this hotel. It is delightful. Our room was lovely and well appointed. The bar is excellent for a drink or two. The staff are great and helped us plan some places to go. It is near the metro station and easy to get to from the airport or use the metro to travel round Madrid. Plenty of cafes/bars/restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended!

It has been my first time at this Hotel. I have a preference for NH Hotels when staying in Spain and the NH Colon did not let me down. This hotel is a perfect fit for tourists and short stays in Madrid, which may explain the slightly high prices. Located near a shopping district (Calle Serrano / Paseo de la Castellana just nearby), right next to the Hard Rock Cafe and at walking distance from Museo del Prado, Museo Thyssen and Parque del Retiro. The all building seems smaller than some other NH Hotels (which means slightly smaller rooms, etc), but the amenities are all there. Parking is expensive but connects directly to the Hotel and the staff was simply great, responsive to all requests and always friendly. We had a great stay.

This was our first stay in Madrid and at this hotel recommended by friends and I must say it was wonderful, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very nice. The buffet breakfast was the best I have ever had.

A comfortable, quiet, stylish room; well-situated to explore the city and not too far away from Madrid's great art museums - our principal reason for staying. The room was booked in my wife's name although the paperwork seemed to defer to me as the person booking. Sexism? Or a genuine glitch in the system?

The hotel is placed strategically near Paseo de los Recoletos. It's a 20 minutes walk to Plaza España but also close to the subway. Beds are comfortable, but what I don't like is the use small (individual) beds to "create" a king size. Buffet is good and have good quality meals and service is always excellent.

Good basic rooms, but well appointed rooms. Air con is inadequate, so if you like to sleep at 19 degrees you will suffer. Tried room service and whilst it was slow, the food was well worth the wait. Good location. wifi link is dire. Nice breakfasts.

This was our first visit to Madrid, what a fantastic city. Our stay was for 4 days, 3 nights, we packed a lot in a short time but only scratched the much to see and do, we'll be back soon ! Many highlights. A visit to a flamenco club, amazing. We're lucky enough to obtain tickets for Real Madrid v Espanyol at the Bernabau, not a classic match but the stadium and sense of occasion was never to be forgotten. A visit to the Food Market at San Miguel is a must, great food, drink and atmosphere. Also try the Royal park and gardens, beautiful. Bonus weather, temperatures of over 35 degrees at the end of September/early October, can't complain !
