We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The locatuon was perfect, the room and the hotel was very clean and neat, the room space more than adequate, buffet breakfast was rich enough. In short a very pleasant stay at a convenient price. We would go again.
The room is clean and spacious. Bathroom is clean. A little bit noisy at night. Staff is friendly. However, their food choice is very limited. Nice location. There’s some restaurants around the hotel. After all, nothing really stand out but nothing went wrong either.
It was a very nice stay, the reception team was very responsive, helpful and welcoming. Rooms are too big and equipped with everything, bathroom was very comfort and they add all staff that anybody may need. Coffee machine is available in the room where you can have a cup of expresso after long day. I do recommend this hotel as the location was about 500m to Grand Via famous street and 1Km to SOL square however its location is quite and very clean. Bed was very comfort and lighting level is managble where they add a lot of scenarios of it so it helps in your different modes. A lot of restaurant is around the hotel and very close too plus 2 or 3 supper markets for anything you may need. Actually I didn’t try their kitchen as I was fasting 😊 but I believe it would be special and good one.
We found this hotel to be in walking distance of everything - Plaza de Espana is close to the palace, cathedral, hoho bus, metro stops. The hotel is modern, rooms are quite large (esp the bathroom), clean, well-lit with plenty of power points (surprising how these are omitted). The staff were friendly and very helpful and we would return upon revisiting Madrid. Hint: Uber to the airport was fixed €30 booked the night before vs €46 by taxi.
Great location next to Plaza de Espana, good acces to public transport (metro), lots of good restaurants nearby. Hotel was refurbished recently, our room was clean, spacious as was the bathroom which featured only shower cabin what I like. Breakfast was OK, better than in some other Mercures where I stayed. No real minuses whatsoever. We payed for the room a few months in advance and got really good price.
This hotel is conveniently located a short 5 minute walk from the Plaza de Espana which also has Metro stop. For just 5€, you can take the Metro from the airport to Plaza de Espana which takes about 45 minutes with a single line change connection. The hotel lobby is small, as it also includes a large service bar and the restaurant which takes up the vast majority of ground floor, but the design was functional and modern, like the rest of this hotel. Both check-in and check-out were fast with no problems. My adequately sized room with a queen bed was located on the second floor far from the elevators at the end of the hall. The black-out curtains worked very well and the room was fairly quiet for sleeping with just minimal street noise. The work desk was somewhat small and had a very uncomfortable chair which looked like it was part of cheap dining set. The free Wi-Fi worked very well, but disappointingly blocked mobile Wi-Fi calling services. The bathroom was somewhat small, but efficiently designed and functional with just a shower and no tub, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. An electric hot water kettle and coffee and tea service was provided along with a mini-bar fridge which also had enough free space to store a few of your own items. The hotel does not have a gym, but instead provides guests with free access to a chain fitness club located directly across the street. This was a great perk for those like to work out while traveling. The breakfast buffet was just average with a good variety of cold items, but only 3 hot dishes: bacon, sausage and eggs scrambled with potatoes. Although the work desk and chair have potential shortcomings for the business traveler, this hotel is recommended as it offers a good location, with a professional staff providing fine service at a reasonable price of about $100/night which included breakfast.
Very happy with my two recent stays (with a visit to Seville separating). The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nicely appointed, decor modern and very new looking. The location is great for the Palacio Real and old city with a short walk to the palace and another relatively short walk from there to the old city. There is food nearby (fast, regular eateries, a few restaurants and some basic tapas) and multiple metro stops to choose from. There are many areas one can stay in Madrid for a tourist visit and this is one I would choose again.
This recent hotel is extremely nice. Staff is helpful and friendly. We enjoyed ten breakfast eventhough the lack of place at peak hours. We appreciated the room, the old style stairs. The only negative aspect was the noise, which may not be allocated to hotel but to hosts.. I will always remembered the fresh smell at the reception. Don't hesitate if you wanna stay in Plaza España
Our original hotel overbooked reservations and they switched us to this hotel. The beds were super comfortable memory foam type mattress. The AC worked super well (which was not the case in other hotels we stayed in Spain) super friendly staff that got us a taxi in less than 5 minutes. The metro station is also not too far away from the hotel.
Stayed for 4 nights. Has been recently refurbished. Pleasant staff. Decent size bedroom with all amenities. Comfortable bed. No external noise. The bedroom was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. In a good location and less than 5 mins walk to nearest metro. As this hotel is down a side street there are no scenic views from the room. I did not eat in the hotel. There are many places nearby. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The only slight downside was on the Sunday night was hoping to get a nightcap at 23.00 but the bar had shut.
