Stayed for 2 night for a conference. Very clean and tastefully decorated rooms. Fairly good insulated rooms with effective air conditioning. Great infrastructure (gym, swimming pool, bar, restaurants, conference center). A copious breakfast buffet. Hotel is fairly good located, in the upper neighborhood of Madrid with a lot of high class restaurants around and near to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

The hotel is very glamurous in terms of arhitecture, interior very maintained. The breakfast can be more diverse with more fruits, and local foods. The staff a bit too slow. We waited for 15 min for waiter to be servied

Very nice location. Very good staff. Top incredible breakfast, very nice price. Too old-fashioned. Pool in the hotel shadow, water frozen. Nice garage. Improvements at rooms should be priority for the hotel management...

We enjoyed our time at the Melia Castilla. We were there for a short two-night business event, so the company chose and booked this hotel for us. The hotel lobby is renovated and nice. The front desk staff was helpful. The room was tired but still nice. Definitely could be improved. This hotel is very large and has a bustling vibrant atmosphere. There are many nice restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant is also lovely and has great options. Most of the servers in the restaurant understood English, but some of the waiters really struggled. The included breakfast buffet also was great and had a lot of options. The onsite pool was a life saver in the Madrid summer heat. Should note this hotel is a significant distance from the city center and 10 minute walk from the nearest subway. I would try to stay somewhere closer to the city if I were to return to Madrid.

If you arrive at the Melia Castilla hotel from the outside your probably will not be impressed too much, to be blunt it just looks old and ugly. However, this feeling will change very soon as you go inside. The hotel seems to be going through a renewal process, in general everything looks very nice inside (some floors might be still the old floors, some floors are newer). Staff is great, and also the facilities are great. It's a typical hotel for congresses with great facilities, particularly the large auditorium is a great setting. I stayed at the Level floor (15th) with extra food and drinks complimentary. Great service and very service oriented staff. As said, do not let the outside of the hotel fool you, it's a great hotel!

Extra bed in the room was extremely comfortable. In other, even 5 star, hotels it's a put you up with a thin mattress and far too short. Close to the Real Madrid stadium, 5 minutes from the Metro. Looks a bit austere from the front but another world of luxury inside.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a clean cut, nice bellman named GUZMAN. Wouldn't take 'no' for an answer even though we were tripping on our things, he helped to stack, and was so patient throughout our entire arrival process! Kind and personable!

I stayed for 8 days in the Melia Castilla Hotel in June 2017. On arrival, I was quickly provided with a key to my room even though the hotel was busy. Throughout the stay staff were brilliant, very helpful in arranging things. The room was outstanding, brilliant size. Location, the hotel is close to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, but about 30 minutes walk / 10 minutes Metro from the town centre. But has a Metro station about 2 minutes away so the location worked out ok. This hotel would suit if you want to go out shopping / tours / activities throughout the day and then at night want to relax back at the hotel. The hotel does have a great pool and a couple of bars if some of the time you just want to relax and rest beside a pool

Stayed for conference at IFEMA. 5minutes walk to metro Cuzco and one change to IFEMA, or all the way to Plaza de Espana along same line. Alternative is Tetuan where can get to Gran Via or Sol. Not suitable hotel if you expect downtown Madrid at your doorstep. Check in was swift, room large and comfortable, corridor carpet looked dated but inside room quite new. Only good view available is the pool. Bathroom very clean. Breakfast has good cold and hot spread. Good coffee machine for double espresso. Can have a full breakfast which can last until late afternoon. Overall a pleasant stay. Unfortunately not suitable for family vacation stay due to its location away from central Madrid.

Lovely modern hotel at good location for airport and for metro . Early check in was great after long flight. Several convenient restaurants nearby. We especially enjoyed Portobello for good seafood dishes and, of course, jamon.
