From the outside and lobby does not impress, but the room was clean and bathroom newly renovated. Very close walk to metro to get to airport. Room was small but certainly adequate. Enjoyed our one night stay.
The hotel was quite basic and a bit outdated. It is just for having a sleep before taking a plane in Barajas. In spite of that, they do not offer transfer service, which you should keep in mind in case your plane departs early (check metro opening hours).
We stayed at this hotel while in Madrid for a couple of nights wanting to be in this location for the airport, is was a short walk from the metro station of only four or five minutes. Check in was nice and easy noticing that they made an effort to make the place smell very pleasant on entry. We took the lift to our room which was more than adequate because to be honest who spends lots of time in their room when away. Breakfast was a continental style but was enjoyable, there are shops around and places to eat and drink if out for a meal, all in all it was a place I would certainly stay again.
An emergency delay left us with two extra nights in Madrid. Our usual hotels were full, so we went for Villa de Barajas. We really like the vibe of the Barajas area of Madrid. But Villa de Barajas is worn, old, small rooms, cracked tiling, damp stains in ceiling tiles, could hear conversations in next door rooms - all round very disappointing, especially for the price! For comparison's sake, Villa de Barajas should charge half the price of the smart and efficient economy Ibis just down the street.... instead, it was three times the Ibis rate.
I arrived madrid at 8 am from long trip coming back from Granada, and earlier from Dílar ( Parque Nacional ) the same day, more than 10 hours journey by taxi and ALSA bus. I was tired and looking for a hotel to stay in my last 14 hours in Madrid, unfortunately, all the hotels around check-in was at 12 pm to 1 pm, except Hotel Villa de Barajas, accepted to let me in. I had my breakfast, checked in, and took rest, no bother as well. They welcomed with wide arms open. Staff assisted me all time. Thank you
My only reason to book this hotel was its location!! Just 15 minute or less walking distance from Madrid T2/T1/T3, which help me in catching my early morning flight to Toulouse without any hustle. Hotel still comes in Zone 1 of public transportation of Madrid and is extremely close to Metro and public bus system of Madrid city. A must stay!!
We spent one night in this hotel.Rooms are small, although well airconditioned and aired. Since we had an early flight we had to leave at 7:15 and they served breakfast from 7:30 (not suitable for an airport hotel), and got a nice picknick bag I would give this hotel more likely 21/2* and not 3*. Although advertised in their ad there was no shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and back. When we asked what happened, we were told that they had a shuttle service up to a year ago and stopped it without updating their advertisement, we had to pay 20Euro each way, from and to the airport. HOTEL VILLA DE BARAJAS 3.4 (69) · 3-star hotel Warm rooms in a relaxed airport lodging with a bar, plus free breakfast, WiFi & a shuttle
Verry good service rooms attention of the Staff and good Restaurants near by verry good conection from Madrid Airport Terminal 4 Metro one station to Barajas then only 10-15min walk Could also be used as a economic way to visit Madrid for some days..☺
Stayed for one night, it is reasonably priced for a small standard room in an airport hotel, the breakfast was adequate. Where we have an issue is that we booked this hotel on the basis that it also included free airport transfers which were advertised on the website when we booked. On arrival at the airport we found that this service was no longer provided. Therefore we had an additional cost of 20 euros to get to the hotel and 15 euros to get back to the airport the next morning. We've used this hotel before, we won't be using it again.
We had a brief layover at the Madrid airport and decided to book a hotel for one night. The airport shuttle was prompt, the room was very clean, the staff was courteous, there were many nearby restaurants and the price of the room was reasonable.
