There are many wonderful things to say about the Hotel Europa. The location on the Plaza de Puerta del Sol makes it easy to walk to many of the major sites and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Madrid. It is also just steps from the Metro and Cercanias trains. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Madrid, though I will take a taxi to and from the airport (33 euros), because it required several transfers using public transportation.

Room ok for a 3 star hotel. Second night half the towels and bedding has been taken but not replaced. However biggest issue was noise from the street and plaza. Noise all night so sleep almost impossible. No way is it a quiet hotel as advertised. Make sure you don't get a room overlooking plaza or street
