This place has seen better days. When we visited (February 2018) the spa was not open, the gym (in a tiny room) was unimpressive with one of the five machines out of service, a light bulb had blown in our ensuite plus there was no bath plug and the bath/shower lever was jammed on to the shower position (we cynically thought a deliberate ploy to stop us having a bath and thus saving water)? The double bed turned out to be twin beds which were very uncomfortable. The hotel is located on the outskirts of a busy industrial zone with the main XPO Logistics distribution depot for Madrid just behind the hotel meaning noisy lorries were coming and going all night long. The hotel was cheap in comparison to many others and therefore probably was OK value for money. However, spending another euros20/30 staying elsewhere would have been a better bet. Our stay was not a disaster but the hotel has clearly seen better days. We will not stay there again.
Our first impression of this hotel came when we arrived at the airport and and called the hotel to check how long it would be before the next shuttle came. The woman on the phone asked if we made a shuttle reservation prior to our arrival and immediately said it would be impossible for us to get a ride to the hotel when we informed her that their website failed to mention any shuttle reservation. She told us to get a taxi to the hotel. We told her that we already booked the room and didn’t want to pay for a taxi when a “complimentary 24hr airport shuttle” was available. She told us there was nothing she could do about that because we didn't make a reservation. Meanwhile an Avant shuttle pulls up and two passengers get in. There are at least 10 seats open! So we ask the driver if we can get a ride to the hotel because we reserved two rooms. He completely blows us off and drives away. So, we call the hotel backa nd ask if we can amke a reservation for the next shuttle that was scheduled to come. SHe said we need to make a shuttle reservation 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE which is impossible because it was a last minute reservation!!! After being hung up on twice, speaking to three equally incompetent and rude staff members we ended up taking taxis to the hotel where they gave us two "adjoining" rooms that didn't have a door adjoining them... Skip the aggravation and stay somewhere else.
We stayed at this hotel because it was close to the Airport and offered shuttle services. Based on other reviews and a call that I made to the hotel before booking they offered shuttle services to the train station as the hotel is located in the middle of factories/industrial complex so there's nothing near by. I made sure to reserve a spot upon arrival and was picked up with no issues and the same happened going to the airport, you just need to make sure to book your space ahead of time. Now, if you want to leave the hotel that's a different story...we were told that every 30 mins or so they could take guests to the train station...but that never seems to happen, at least not in our case and not in the case of other gusts waiting for the same service. They said a taxi would be $5 euros to go to the station, we asked them to get one for us but we got charged $10! then when we cam back I called (international call of course) to make sure they would pick us up...they said the driver was coming back from the airport and would be at the station in 20 minutes. well after 40 minutes I decided to call again and a girl name Elena, who was the same who told us they were coming to pick us up told us that the driver waited for us and had to leave! Really? I was there and never happened! The fact that they did not care, did not even ask if we wanted to wait was a truly dissappointment and therefore I will never stay here again and will recommend you to stay somewhere else as well. If you want to just stay at the hotel this may be an ok place for you, otherwise, check for other options where at least they care if you are stranded at a metro station! BTW I decided to take an uber going back to the hotel for $6 euros. So I would highly recommend using uber over a regular taxi so that you don't get over charged. Oh and if you take the train, from the station is about 30 minutes to the Atocha station. So plan for 1 hour with the time you spend getting to the station. Enjoy!
First off this is not close to the airport, it's in the middle of an industrial estate about 25 mins drive away. Taxi from the airport had an initial €20 on the meter then was €37 total! Check in was ok and so are the rooms, bed reasonably comfy, air con that works and biggish bathroom. Water runs hot and cold though and no kettle or mugs to make a drink in the room. Worst of all was the food, breakfast was bad enough, little choice and cold food, but the dinner was shocking! Our company had booked us the €12 dinner buffet...I've had better on a motorway services! Cold, flavourless food, wilted salads, little choice, only the desserts were edible. This is a coach party hotel, let's hope the international visitors don't think this is the best cuisine Spain has to offer! Oh and the pool was locked off all the week we stayed
We had just finished walking the Camino so only we had three criteria for our last night; reasonable price, near the hotel and a swimming pool to soothe our poor aching feet! We took the bus to Madrid airport and a taxi from there to the hotel (which cost us €32 with the €20 flat fee; lesson learned!) As it turns out, the hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate, and it is by no means an "airport hotel", the only saving grace being the free shuttle. You're an hour from Madrid unless you pay for an expensive taxi, your other option is the train into the city. My advice to anyone would be to just stay in the city itself. As for the room, a triple room was a double with a camp-bed, and the walls were absolutely filthy. To add to our bad luck our room was right beside the car park entrance None of this would have been a real problem, except on arriving out to the pool for our much longer-term and dreamed of swim, we discovered the pool area locked! We had booked our stay through a third party site, and there was no mention of the pool being closed, and the hotel site just said "in season". We spoke to reception but all they kept telling us was that there was a pool, and essentially"tough luck". Definitely not somewhere I'd recommend.
This hotel offers an excellent price for rooms and meals. The service is great as well. They offer free regular shuttle services to airport, to business park, to the station. Ok the area is not very nice it is a fulfilment centres and plants area but for a short stay next to the airport or if you have to work in the business park it is perfect.
This hotel is close to the airport and offers an airport shuttle - that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. We enjoyed the restaurant, cafe and breakfast. Juan took extra care of us in the cafe and came to know what we liked from the menu. Our room was clean and modern, this hotel looks to be very new. But our highest praise goes to the early morning reception staff - as we had been travelling for over a month, we had forgotten to put our clocks ahead an hour when we arrived back in Spain and slept in the morning of our flight back to Canada. The staff called us and also held the airport shuttle. We can't thank the staff enough! The hotel is in an industrial looking area, but we walked into the small town of Torrejon de Ardoz and it was an easy walk and the town was quaint. Thanks again!!
Location is in the middle of an industrial estate and you can "see" the airport, but you need travel time Checkin was friendly, but you pay for the entire stay at checking in ... not flexible for a business traveler . Breakfast is ok , but it's spread out all over the dining room in a strange way with no logic at all. Rooms are clean and ok, but NO sound isolation Bathrooms are good ! But cracked a sink and unreliable air conditioning A fridge in the room , but only One bottle of complimentary water for a 4 night stay . Gym is ok , but very small Pool is there ... but very open and next to a lorry/truck park building site ( or seems like) Garage for parking , but €5 But it's ok ....
This hotel, located in the middle of nowhere, so called near to the airport, is located about 20-30 minutes from the airport, depending on the time of the day. However, considering the price, if you don't consider to spend your evening in Madrid, is a good deal. The room is ok, the food they serve at their bar is less than average, but the quality of the restaurants in the area is so deplorable, not serving food for decent people, therefore the only choice is to eat something in the hotel's bar
Yes , the hotel is just NOWHERE - The hotel entry is confusing & late evening the neighborhood looks quite scary But I must say that the staff is very cooperative and nice ; understand English & take pains to make you feel comfortable . The hotel is quite comfortable considering its tariff and smooth shuttle to the hotel . But if you are in Madrid city & want to use this hotel ; just forget it ! Use it / Stay only for a night sleep to catch early morning flights - comfortable and economic !!
