My flight was delayed today, and when i arrived hotel, it was about 2am. But the staff was so patient and made my check in in the fastest speed. She provided the baby cot for me when she saw i had a baby without booking the extra baby cot before. It was so nice. This hotel is very convenient if you come from airport, and the room was clean and big. Everything was nice for me.
A great hotel for business. Wonderful kitchen stays open till 11pm so a welcome place if you arrive late. Reasonable breakfast. The gym is small but you can get a good work out on the exercise bike. Very professional staff and the beer at the bar is very good. One of the best business hotels I have used in a long time.
I stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights, Booked a Junior Suite 2 Single Beds. Room was very clean with a lot of space, and bed comfortable. The Staff is very friendly, nice and Professional (good job guys). Overall: the Quality worth the Price.
We stayed just 1 night, hotel is very well located if you are with a car (next to highway, not far away from Barajas airport). Basic services inside, modern room, normal service.Alcala de Henares is a nice town, but hotel is not on walking distance to city center.
We had a great stay at the AC Hotel in Alcala. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. The rooms are on the smaller side but perfect for 2 people. The floors are wood laminate, which is so much better than carpet (it just seems so much cleaner). The hotel is older but the rooms seem to have been updated. Every staff member we met there was extremely nice and could not have been more helpful. (Most of the staff does speak some, to very good, English if that is an issue). Being from America we weren't used to everything opening late (breakfast, fitness room) but we worked around it as that's customary in Spain. There is a McDonald's right next door (which also doesn't open until 9am). There is also a grocery store around the side of the hotel (entrance on the McDonald's side of the hotel) so we stocked up on breakfast foods and kept it in the refrigerator in the room. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting someone that lives very close to there, but if you are going strictly as a tourist the location would probably be undesirable as you would have to take public transportation everywhere (the bus/train ride to downtown Madrid is about an hour). I think this hotel is very popular for people there on business- it is in the business district. The public transportation system is amazing and there is a bus stop right out front of The hotel. There is a mall in walking distance and several small restaurant/bars along the way. We would definitely stay here again!!
I was on my way back from my trip to Europe and had to spend a night in Madrid, I followed a recommendation from sister facility (Marriott Princesa) to stay here. It's located in a nice small city near Madrid, a lot of history to view. Don Quijote and Sancho Panza, and Miguel de Cervantes place. Give it a try. Not a good facility for Gold Marriott members, no benefits at all. Just average If you are short of budget go for it. Air conditioning didn't work properly which made the night a nightmare....
The local isn't the best if you are looking into walking into Alcalá town center. I'd take about over 30 min I reckon. But if you are driving and your business is one of the companies in nearby industrial zone, then it's fine. Surprised about the performance of their free wifi. Was pretty fast and makes up for the fact that the TV channels are pretty lousy. Wood floor, simple bed, and marble bathroom, all these are pluses to me. Hotel does serve hot cooked food on weekends.
Stayed here to access the airport which is 15 minutes away. Not in the best area for activities, but good for the airport. Good sized room, very clean, comfortable beds. Restaurant is open to the front lobby and a bit chilly. They offered sandwiches whcih was just what we wanted, but they were lacking. Service hit or miss. Front desk personnel fantastic.
Stayed here for two nights. The hotel is modern and clean, with good wifi. Reasonably priced minibar. Comfortable bed. Breakfast had good selection including Nespresso and range of pastries. Slightly further from the centre than one might like, but taxis are relatively cheap. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay again.
First, the Staff is excellent! They are well meaning, and hard working. They will try to accommodate you in every way possible. Also there is an excellent supermarket literally around the corner from the front entrance of the hotel so it is easy to get things for the room refrigerator. There is a small snack area in the lobby. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are nice, and everything is very clean. The restaurant does a very nice buffet breakfast and they have a wonderful Nespresso machine with which to help yourself to coffee, etc. The lunch and dinners are quite good. They have a staffing problem in the restaurant so the two men are kept busy running back and forth, but they try their best. Cons: The rooms can be very noisy because of the highway right outside. Also there are 4 floors and only one "suite" on each floor (the 01 column which is also the quietest part of the hotel). The next largest rooms are at the other end of the hall and look out on the highway (29 and 30 column). The other rooms are a bit small. The suite has a good number of electrical outlets, but not so in the other rooms. Otherwise it is in a nondescript part of town at least 45-60 minutes from Madrid with the airport half way in between. The town of Alcala de Henares is known as the home of Cervantes (LKF: Don Quixote is the best selling novel in history.) It also has a charming town center, a small University, and is known for the storks that nest all around. Getting a taxi to go into town is not a problem, but getting one to come home is not easy.
