this definitely a charming hotel sitting in the heart of Madrid. Easy to walk to all shopping area, restaurants and get on subways. The room is beautiful with bath top, and breakfast is cozy but high quality. I stayed 4 nights there really enjoy the service. Only one thing, I was going to take train to Segovia from Chamartin, but the reception told me I should go from Atocha station instead and got me a taxi, which was wrong station. i had spend few more hours just to running around before i get to Segovia. Other than this incident, overall was very pleasant.
The hotel is small, very charming and well located. Don't expect a big lobby or living area, that's not the case. We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed every detail. We stayed in a triple room very spacious, clean and comfortable. But the best of it all was the service. Fernando at the front desk made all the difference and helped us with all our needs, from restaurant reservations, tips on attractions and much more. Always with a great attitude and a smile on his face, so welcoming that Madrid was even more amazing than it already is. Breakfast is also very good and served in a nice small, dining room. Highly recommend this place!
My wife and I spent our holiday season at this hotel. To say it was great would be an understatement. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. What was the distinguishing feature however was the staff. We travel a lot for vacations and I constantly for work. At no time have we encountered such a terrific group of hospitality staff. A great experience.
I will start with the location which is excellent! Exactly at Plaza de la Independencia next to the largest park of Madrid and within walking distance of all the museums and the famous Salamanga district for shopping! Unfortunately were not fully satisfied with the quality of the services. The staff was very friendly and helpful however the size of our room was really small. Regarding the breakfast I would characterize it average (not great variety..). Overall this hotel was over-prized especially due to its size.
This our first time in the Hospes chain in Spain which are operating a great selection of hotels, we have tried the SPA in Valencia and were very pleased. The hotel team is truly warm, welcoming and assisting with all matters with great care and support. The facility is a beautiful small boutique hotel that encapsulate very many features and services. The SPA is small but very well set in the back of the hotel and the team of therapists is superb. The room was beautifully decorated and the beds are offering great comfort. No doubt I will be back again for business trips as well as for great weekend escapes
recently refurbished hotel in a very nice location: plaza de la independencia is full of nice bars restaurants and cafeterias, all worth visiting, day and night. also the RETIRO park is just across the « plaza » which is perfect for a morning run or walk. rooms are nicely decorated, there is a small gym, pool and spa which is fine and does the job. food is fine. what stands out is the kindness and efficiency of the staff, and this makes one’s stay much better. I will come back.
A fabulous boutique hotel. Modern spacious rooms with comfortable beds and huge walk-in shower. Good selection on offer from the breakfast buffet and hot options to order from the menu. All the staff were courteous and attentive nothing was too much trouble. Loved the restaurant and bars outside, great atmosphere day/evenings. Excellent restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk from the hotel. Madrid city tour bus stop outside the hotel and the beautiful Retiro Park is adjacent to the hotel. I would highly recommend this little gem of a hotel to family and friends.
What a wonderful hotel! I spent a long time researching accommodation in Madrid and I was so happy with my choice. The location was fabulous lots of bars and cafes on the doorstep and opposite the beautiful El Retiro Park. The rooms were beautifully designed, light and airy. The staff were friendly and accommodating especially Roberto Figueiras - who displayed excellent customer services to myself and my partner. With even arranging a bottle of Cava to celebrate our anniversary! He pointed out local landmarks and hidden gems to explore during our time in Madrid. Thanks Roberto! I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is that we were not supplied with any complimentary water in our room and had to pay €6 for a bottle. Something as a 5* Hotel I would expect to be supplied in the rooms.
Great location to reach most of central Madrid. Across from a large park for walking. Good buffet breakfast and an attentive staff. You can eat outside if the weather is nice and people watch. Our room had modern fixtures and a comfortable bed. Could see using this hotel for business or for holiday. Close to the metro and to the On and Off Buses. Would recommend to others and go again.
Quality means that all aspects of the service is great and this was the case with Hospes in Madrid. We stayed there for two periods in August. The service from the greeting to the farewell was fantastic. The team couldn't do enough for you. We had to confirm a tour of Andalucia and the desk had trouble getting through to the tour company, but kept trying until they did. They went out onto the street to fetch cabs and organised an early breakfast for our room because the kitchen wasn't open when we were leaving. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were quite large so plenty of room for cases and they contained everything you needed. The restaurant out the front was exceptional. The location is a little bit from the main shopping / walking area, but not too far. We did catch cabs a couple of times from the Grand Via but it was only a few Euros ... the legs were getting tired after 5 weeks of travelling. Breakfast was good and the setting out in the little courtyard was nice. The Retiro Park is just across the road and the Prado only about 1km away. Would go back there again if in Madrid.
