Check out was at 12pm…I went to have breakfast out early in the morning, when I came back they had already emptied my room and my suitcase was on the hallway. I didn’t like that at all. Other than that I would stay there again.

Scammers!!!! Not easy to find, all the pictures are misleading, I couldn’t take showers becauseI cannot fit in the shower, cannot wash my face, this room is not for real adults!!!!! No service at the desk!!!only the location is good. The pictures of different buildings and the door picture is on third floor you can’t see it from the street. You need to look for doorbell to see the name and we arrived after 8pm it’s really dark outside and you have no idea where the place is because the pictures misleading you!!!! The bathroom is small and moody!!! Room is too small no view and too much construction !!! Towels were dirty and felt really rough!!!internet was extremely slow!!!!

Even though the area of the hotel was right in the center of Madrid. There was however several mishaps such as being charged $100 to have access to the room, lights, and much more. Another one was that in the bathroom you could see the insulation, it wasn’t fully done. Lastly, whenever we would use the bathroom it would be very loud. Wasn’t the best hotel, but a good location. There were some Parts in the room where it was just dirty and not very clean, could’ve been better. Not coming back

I was put into a different hostel, upstairs from Fuencarral Rooms. The room was okay, but the sheets and towels had a very strong detergent smell, and left me feeling oily and gross, as if they're not properly rinsed when washed. The shower drain wasn't fitted properly and had a sharp corner sticking up which I nearly cut my foot on more than once. My view was terrible, facing an airway and other windows. Overall not a great place to stay, but the location was very convenient on a busy pedestrian street, and I felt safe, so it wasn't awful

Hotel is nice and in good location, but it has a ridiculous policy that no visitors are allowed. That policy should be clearly stated when you are booking a room. I was in town visiting my daughter who lives in Spain, we would come into the room to grab something or use the restroom and they kicked my daughter out every time. Stating that no visitors are allowed, never have I ever stayed at an hotel with that policy.

I rented the superior double room and my room was exactly as pictured with the small balcony. The place is a little hard to find but if you use the pictures on this page and other booking sites, you shouldn’t have a problem. Essentially you’re looking for address 39 on that street (Calle de Fuencarral), it’s a wooden double door that looks like it’s someones apartment. On your first visit you need to be buzzed in so push the corresponding buzzer and informed the concierge that you have a room booked. Upon entering, it will looks as though you’ve entered an apartment building. Make your way to the 3rd floor (which is really the 4th floor since the 1st floor is the lobby and is not designated as 1st floor in Europe), you should see the small placard for Fuencarral Rooms. If you feel like you’re in Inception, you’ve done it right, since this is a hotel within another building. This is actually the beauty of this place because it can feel very unassuming, the building looks unremarkable but the moment you step foot into your room, it feels as though you’ve gone through the doors to the Secret Garden; it’s magnificent.

Every staff member I dealt with was very nice. My first morning I was greeted and given tips on what to do for the day. My room was spotless and newly renovated. It was very quiet at night and there was a/c for comfort. The location is right in the main shopping area. I would recommend booking here!

Simple, clean, and well located.

The cost for 1 night for 1 person was around 55 Euros (May 2018). The room was clean, with a double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. The room had good wifi reception, a safe and a large flatscreen TV. Small toiletry sachets were provided: shower gel and shampoo. The room was quiet. No view from the room (only on to other close by buildings). No food provided, but lots of nice bakeries and coffee shops within a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel opens directly onto a pedestrianised area, filled with restaurants and shops.Check-in was very easy and check-out was as simple as putting my electronic key card in a small postbox by reception, nothing more was needed. All in all, a nice, simple and straightforward room for the night.
