The staff was extremely helpful when we asked to change rooms because a train runs behind the propery and our room was right next to the tracks. The continental breakfast was very disappointing. Not to the standards of HI Hotels that i usually stay at. The bed was so uncomfortable.
I was disappointed in my room‘s overall condition… Broken curtains and dirty floor.
The staff was never friendly. Never said good morning or thank you, just dismissed you and felt like they wanted you out as quickly as possible. The room was gross, the floors were sticky, behind the night stand looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. We were just passing through so we just wanted to sleep for a few hours but would I stay here again? Absolutely not.
My family has stayed in enough places to know that Holiday Inn is what we want. It's always comfortable, always cozy, always clean. This Macon location delivered. We are pleased.
Have stayed here many times but has gone downhill big time. Nasty room and common areas. Hardly any light on like they are closing hotel. Bartender was 30 min late to open bar. Hotel room sink had toothpaste and shaved stubble in it. Nasty, will not return.

The hotel is brand new and very clean. The rooms are super nice and comfortable. Breakfast wasn’t free which is disappointing. There are train tracks right behind the hotel so beware if you’re a light sleeper! It’s very loud!
The hotel is very nicely updated. The staff is courteous, professional and quick to assist with our needs. We would definately stay here again if passing through. Our room was on the front side of the hotel and we didn't hear any trains at all.
Stopped in en route to southern Florida from Atlanta. Nice hotel, conveniently located, nothing to write home about, but let's be honest, neither is Lake City, FL.
The young woman who checked us in barely said two words and was NOT pleasant. On the way out, another employee at the desk was equally unconcerned and unhelpful. It was bad enough that we called for a manager. Never did talk to one, never got a return call. As a Southerner, I was especially appalled at the glaring lack of hospitality. Rooms are nice, and the train tracks directly behind didn't bother us at all. Staff here needs guidance, or maybe they just need to be replaced.
This is a new hotel so grounds etc were immaculate.Our room was very clean and I loved the decor. Hotel staff was friendly and check in and out were very efficient. It is convenient to the strip mall and far enough off of the highway that there was no noise. Got a late checkout with no annoying knocks on the door at regular checkout time!!! I would definitely return
