We enjoyed our time here. The first room we were given had no view - except of a building. We asked for, and were given, a front room with a river view. No balcony, but we pulled up the two chairs in the room, opened and window and enjoyed the sounds of the river and mountain breezes. Breakfast was early enough that we could enjoy the buffet, with hot eggs cooked to order, before catching the bus up to Machu Picchu. We only stayed the one night but the room was comfortable, not spacious but comfortable, clean and had a portable heater provided for those cool nights. The staff was very helpful as we asked for directions and help with a variety of topics.

Very nice view on the river side of the hotel. My ear plugs that I always have when I travel helped as the flowing river makes it difficult for a light sleeper like me to sleep. The day time receptionist was very accommodating as she transferred me to the first floor from the third floor upon my request. There is no elevator and the higher altitude in the city makes it a little difficult for an older person like me to get up the stairs. In all, my stay here was very comfortable.
