Incredible mountain and river views from 5th floor junior suite. Beautiful room, kind people, good food. Such a treat!!

Great experience. Clean & comfortable with great views above the river and friendly & accommodating staff.

Very close to the bus stop. Amazing hotel for the price!

Close to the train station, the bus for Machu Picchu is rightnin front of the hotel. The hotel is simple, clean and breakfast was included. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We were so pleased with our choice of Tiera Viva hotel for our stay in Aguas Calientes. The location is ideal for an early morning start at Machu Picchu and they offer breakfast starting at 4.3am. You are also a 2 minute walk to restaurants and shopping.

Excellent location but our balcony was facing a place with a lot of garbage which I didn’t expect in a pricey hotel. The room was clean and front desk personnel very kind. Wifi worked only in public areas, not in the room.

A very nice place to stay before or after Machu Picchu. Beautiful views over the river, and a very comfortable a room. The location was great; close to town and the bus to Machu Picchu, but still quiet. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. Would 100% recommend.

Staff was very professional and helpful, the service was great, really good breakfast buffet and the convenience that they offer to carry your bags back and forth between the train station and the hotel.

All hotels in Aguas Calientes are walkable distance from the train station and there are no taxis in this little town. Everyone walks. So call reception and make sure a staff shows up at the train station to carry your bags while you walk to the hotel. While the property is beautiful, the elevator was off and there was no visible urgency in fixing it. Walking up the stairs is hard each time if your room is two or more floors above. So request for a lower floor room. At the breakfast you have to special request for raisins/nuts for your cereal. Apart from the stay visit mariposa center, then further visit the cataracts located inside the Mandor garden. Eat lunch at the mariposa cafe which is just a barebones porch but beautifully located at the edge of the river and hardly anyone is around. A wonderful feeling. You need an extra day to do this.

The staff at Tierra Viva was amazing! We had questions prior to our arrival (about the train, going up to Machu Picchu, etc), and they answered all of our questions. Upon arriving at the train station, they send a member of their stuff to pick you and your luggage up. The hotel was a short 5 to 10 minute walk from the train station and bus station (that goes to Machu Picchu). The breakfast is complimentary and included eggs, cheeses, olives, toast, different juices, potatoes and one meat a day (one day bacon, one day sausage). The room was average, we slept well without any complaints and there is hot water in the showers (some hotels don't have hot water). Bring a bathing suit if you're going to the hot springs, as they don't allow anyone in the pools with regular clothes (strictly, bathing suits). Will definitely come back again!

Great for a short stay in aguas calientes. Clean and confortable. Good breakfast.

Excellent location and wonderfully helpful staff in a clean hotel.

Easy to get to the bus. Exceptionally helpful staff - they told us how and where to purchase the bus tickets, let us store our luggage at the hotel even though it was past checkout time, and even delivered our luggage to the train at the end of the day!

You are here to visit Machu Picchu basically. This hotel does a great job of meeting the requirements you want. Location is great. A little away so not noisy but close to everything. They pick you up at train station. Their buffet starts at 4:30am so you can get a good food base in you before your all day adventure. They have very friendly staff, free WiFi, tea, coffee and water. The room has great hit water and water pressure and provide all toiletries. They will also store your bags and even deliver them to train station for you so you can go straight there after Machu Picchu. If I had to give one minor knock is that the beds may be a little small and rooms could stand a little updating/sprucing up. All in all though very good experience and would recommend.

The room where clean. Great breakfast every morning
