Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central4.0 out of 5.0

this hotel is part of Sands hotels, located just in front of Vantion and Parisian hotels. we had one night in Macau and the room was in good size with all facility. we had breakfast including - but we didn't found anything to eat since it was Asian breakfast, it was better if the hotel inform us about it and give us more option to eat western breakfast.
I was lucky enough to travel to Macau for three nights on business. The room rates at the Holiday Inn were reasonable but the service and standard of accomodation was far better than I expected. Check in and check out were faultless. The room was large and to a very high standard. An extremely comfortable bed and great shower - the two essentials. Great job Holiday Inn.
My wife is hemiplegic and Anthea So was able to reserve us an accessible room with right handed shower and toilet. She also arranged staff to meet us at the airport with an accessible taxi and did the same for our departure. I can’t list or remember all of the little helpful things the Holiday Inn staff did for us through out or stay. We look forward to returning someday!
The room was large especially the bathroom (with bath and shower), comfy and clean (new look). The wi fi in the room was good for business use but outside in the general area OK for messages. The free sauner in the gym area was good but the pool a bit basic by other hotel s standards. The hotel is in the Sands area so it has no restaurant but Sands has over 5. There is a drink and snack area and if you join the Holiday Inn IHG Rewards Club at check in you'll get a free drink which is nice and a very fast check in (beats the queue). OH let me add "great staff" very helpful and knowledgeable on how to get around. The only disappointment was the absence of milk for the coffee in the room, the view from the large window over the aircons on the roof, and the pool which was very basic.
Everything was really great! Easy check in! Rooms were spacious and clean.. House keeping is on point anytime of day when you need something you get if immediately...Appreciated the welcome treat from the hotel manager. Hassle free check out! And an extra point that you can leave your things even after check out so you can go around while waiting for your flight. Two thumbs up!
As a Platinum member, check in through the express lane. Waited for 10 mins in the queue. One class free room upgrade with a welcome drink and fruits inside the room. Free WiFi in room and at hotel lobby. Next to huge shopping mall and food court linked with Conrad hotel, walk across linked bridge to Venetian and Parisian. Good quality room and amenities. Free shuttle bus from ferry terminal. Recommend to take the taxi to various places in Macau. Cheap and efficient.
The rooms are good. The reception area staffs are also accommodating (luckily there's no long queue). If you plan to roam around Macau but already need to check out, you can leave your baggage at the counter. There's no need to rush to go back the hotel to check out before the check out time. There are also Filipino staffs in there who can assist you :) You get what you paid for.
Was told to check-in only at 3pm due to full house and even if early check-in at 1pm only smoking room available. Even though did not sleep whole night due to night flight to HK before taking ferry to Macau, refused to take smoking room and waited till almost 3pm. In the end was given a room with ashtray tho non-smoking?? Being IHG member, could not enjoy any benefits as booking was not made directly as per Front Desk. Does not make any sense to pay SGD200 more to book directly to enjoy benefits which is not guaranteed when I could save by booking through Ctrip. Being repeat guest, nothing was given on my actual birthdate during the stay unlike my previous stay at Studio City tho 1st time. Seems that hotel is only keen and focus more on top gamblers and elite members.
My family and I traveled to Macau last January 21, 2018; we stayed at Holiday Inn Macau Cotai Central for one night. BOOKING: I booked online through the hotel’s official website and used a credit card to pay for the stay online; we encountered no problems with the reservation process through this method. CHECKING-IN: We arrived at the hotel at exactly 3:00 PM, and found that there was a long queue for checking-in! While I understand that this may be because it was, indeed, the standard check-in time, we didn’t expect the queue to be so long, especially for a hotel of this standard. The staff gave complimentary bottles of water to the guests in line, which we appreciated. Do take note as well that the hotel requires an incidental deposit of HKD/MOP 1000 per night; while it may be customary for many hotels to require such a deposit, the amount, which was more than half of what we paid for the room, surprised me; there was also nothing informing us about this during the online booking process. The staff assured me, however, that the amount would be refunded through the credit card I used, provided that we did not incur any incidental charges. Aside from this, we encountered no further problems with the check-in procedure; however, unfortunately, including waiting time, it still took us approximately 40 minutes in total. LOCATION: Holiday Inn Macau Cotai Central is located in the Cotai Strip in Taipa. From the Taipa Ferry Terminal, the complimentary shuttle bus service to the hotel took just approximately 5-10 minutes. We also loved the ambiance of the area—it was quite a sight, especially at night! We also liked the proximity to other hotels such as the Venetian, Parisian, City of Dreams, Studio City, and Galaxy Macau. Through the interconnected hotels, convenient walkways, and the frequent shuttle buses to other properties, it made exploring the area much easier. However, while there is indeed an abundance of hotels, casinos, and shopping malls in the area, there is nothing else to do and explore aside from this. Did not see any convenience stores around as well, so prepare to spend $$$ for food and beverage in the area. Going to the Macau Peninsula, it was just an easy 15-20-minute shuttle bus ride (though from the City of Dreams), while to the Macau International Airport, it was also just 5-10 minutes away by shuttle bus provided by the hotel, which was convenient. THE ROOM: We stayed in a non-smoking Superior Room on the 26th floor, with a view of the MGM and the Macau Dome. The room size was adequate for three people, and was spacious enough to walk around in even with all of our luggage. The room had two double beds, which were of good size and were comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom was clean, complete with the necessary amenities, and with a well-functioning hot and cold shower and a bathtub. We had no problems with the Wi-Fi connection, which was fast and sufficient. Overall, we were quite satisfied with our room and had no complaints with it during our stay. THE STAFF: The hotel staff members that we encountered were friendly and pleasant. There are many hotel employees who were of the same nationality as ours, so it was easy to communicate. Thumbs up for the front desk employee who assisted us during check-in (was not able to get her name), who was friendly, polite, and who spoke sufficient English; she also assisted us by calling another employee to bring all of our luggage to our room after we checked in. This next staff, who is also Filipino, even oriented us to the hotel facilities and amenities while accompanying us all the way to our room. Thumbs up for the great hospitality. OVERALL: We were quite satisfied with our one-night stay in Holiday Inn Macau Cotai Central. The price, compared to the other hotels in area, was reasonable, and our overall experience was good. Would definitely recommend it!
Being an IHG member i was allowed an early checkin at 1 PM as to their normal check in time of 3 PM. Rooms are clean and spacious and i had a view of the the Conrad Pool and the Hyatt Hotel and the Fountain show from Wynn Palace. I normally don't order in room dining considering the vast number of dining options available outside in restaurants however wanted to have a quiet meal in the room before heading out to play blackjack. The in room dining menu is similar across Sands Group Hotels. Ordered the Fried Chicken wings which were super crunchy and had a coating and not greasy at all. They were served with a sweet and spicy sauce. Also ordered their pork belly sauté in red and green chilies which had marked the dish as spicy. i found it not to be spicy at all however was delicious and a huge portion. It was served with steamed rice. I loved how the server brought the food in a hot container thats under the movable table they brought in along with all the cutlery. Service was quick to bring the food and they cleared the table once i was done. I'd recommend to order in room as compared to dining in the food court as you get much better quality food and at a cost almost as same as the food court.
