The start at the hotel was not great, but all turned out fine eventually. We booked and paid a room through Amoma (online agency found via Trivago), which appeared to be no longer available when we showed up at the reception desk. Initially the reception staff could not do very much for us other than offering the choice between a room without windows and a room with a bathroom at the other end of the corridor, and reimbursing our 13 euro parking costs. Eventually we agreed that they would see what else they could offer while we went sightseeing Maastricht. The outcome was a significant discount on our room, full compensation of parking costs and they even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of pretty good wine. Compliments! The hotel itself is nice and located conveniently in Wyck. The room was clean and the bed was good, as was the breakfast (included in our rate, we would not pay 19 euro for it but all-you-can-eat concepts generally are just not that good value for us).

I stayed here for a week during a business trip. The staff was very friendly. The Breakfast was excellent, with several choices of hot and cold items, fresh orange juice was nice. Wifi worked without issue the entire time. The room was comfortable if small, with a very small desk made working a bit difficult. The lobby is very modern and sterile, not a place to meet and socialize. Dinner and drinks in the restaurant was very enjoyable and the food exceeded expectations. The location near the train station and city center is absolutely the best attribute of the hotel. I will stay here again.

I stayed for four nights and had a very enjoyable time. Staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival and throughout. Stylish, warm and comfortable room (very cold weather). Very clean. Restaurant excellent and the menu had plenty of choices so I ate in each night. Strongly recommended and in a good position for everything.

Stayed on a business trip for 1 night. From the outside it doesn't look much, but it is very nice once you get into reception. The rooms are very modern, very clean, large TV (with english channels). I would put tge breakfast above average for a continental buffet breakfast, where you are bombarde with cheeses and hams, here there are omlettes, bacon, mushrooms plus all the usual breads and cereals. Proper cup of tea too. There are much better in tge town, but cannot fault it and would stay again.

Already oud 4th visit. To thuis hotel with friends who already ate fot the 10th time. Fine personal very good atmosfeer and for us always our hotel for Maastricht. Fine clean rooms also fine and clean bathrooms

After having had an awful experience within the train form Amsterdam we arrived stressed out and rather tired at the hotel. The reception desk staff were exceptionally helpful. They engaged us in a light headed conversation, shared Maastricht tips without us even asking for them. They hadn’t measured any efforts to make us feel at home and, most importantly, on vacation. The guy, I reckon his name is the Dutch version of Jonah was superb. Seemed like a really good person! I had to go to the university for some professional related stuff and he took the time to print out a map and colour the way for me since at that moment my phone was broken. The breakfast was good. I should der try their bread assortment. There’s just one con: I’ve booked 2 rooms, in one of them, there were no doors to the bathroom. Not even for the toilet itself. It was all a connect space. It was pretty unpleasant to go to the loo feeling in the same room as my parter. The whole hotel was very clean and tidy! The location is fantastic!

Very good service in the hotel. They were very helpful with the recommendations and very kind in general. Also, very comfortable and beautiful room. 100% recomendable. Very close to the center, a few minutes to the train station and placed in a beautiful street.

We stayed for 2 nights in Maastricht and this hotel made our weekend perfect. This is why: Location +++++: next to the railway station, close to the city center and great restaurants, 24h parking space nearby at Qpark "De colonel". Comfort +++++: clean and box spring beds, big bathroom Facilities ++++: good working elevator, 24/7 reception, fitness room Would definitely recommend

The Hampshire Designhotel offers a spacious room next to the train station and in the city centre. Besides the space and location, the room is what you can expect. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is generous. All in all, a good stay in a lovely city.

Reception staff don’t speak French. Only a little bottle of water in the minibar and nothing else. No more shampoo in the bathroom. Industrial bread at breakfast, over cooked eggs... Fortunately, very nice room, and comfortable bed. Hotel in a good location.
