Our daughter gave us a present of a two night stay plus tickets for André Rieu concert to celebrate our Golden Wedding She booked us into a suite which was really lovely.Bedroom was a good size and having a separate sitting area was a real bonus. We were bed and breakfast and there was a good selection to choose from.. Although it was not in town centre it only took us 20 minutes to walk in. We found all staff very pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again.
Very happy to report the the Apple Park Hotel is under new management and it is visibly evident, this Hotel is exceptionally cleaner than last year, staff have been replaced and are very happy to assist you in any way possible, breakfast selection is vast and extensive with quality food fayre on offer. The Restaurant has also had a serious make over, good quality food on offer, meals are well prepared and tastes amazing, very good waiting service, friendly and efficient, this Hotel is now a joy to stay at, thankfully, the Hotel still operates a free shuttle bus service into the city centre ( just do not forget to book the free shuttle early at Hotel reception ) The difference in this Hotel in 12 months is amazing and welcomed, simply a joy to stay at.
I recently stayed in this hotel as part of a package to see Andre Rieu. We found the hotel to be lovely, quiet & peaceful. The staff teams between reception & the restaurant were so polite, friendly & helpful. It was only a couple of minutes from Maastricht by taxi which was well organised. The restaurant/bar was lovely & all staff here were so professional. This hotel is ideal to stay in if you are in Maastricht for a few days.
First the good points - I quite liked the situation - a pleasant parkland with pond and lots of geese behind the hotel. The staff were charming and friendly and my bed was comfortable. The shuttle bus was convenient, the drivers helpful, and the taxi fare of 12.5 euro reasonable if shared. But the furniture and fittings left a lot to be desired. The carpets on the corridors and in the bedrooms were badly stained, the furniture quite basic and in the bathroom the shower fittings were quite outdated and the towel rail industrial. Breakfast was good although the coffee and tea were from a machine. We had dinner on two nights and on both nights the food was disappointing and the waiting time absolutely dreadful - for our gala dinner we were seated at 5.20 p.m. and after choosing between two cold starters were served our main course at 6.50 leaving no time for the dessert for which we had prepaid as we had a bus transfer to the concert at 7.30.
We only stopped the one night but could not fault it. The room was lovely with a view out over the lake, so we got to watch the ducks and geese. The bar was pleasant, attached to the dining room. Free parking for guests and wifi
The hotel is clean but in my opinion not quiet 4 star quality. Nice reception area, friendly staff, very good breakfast but rooms clean but pretty basic. Double room has 2 3ft single beds instead of a double bed?? The shower in the bathroom is fed from the bath taps. On one occasion the water started to go cold during the shower and i had to adjust to get the warm water back. This might have been down to me rather than the shower but it was a little unsettling. The water pressure was very good though. A bonus point was that there is a small free safe in your room for your valuable things which was nice. Typically i came away with the usb cable for my phone but no plug to plug it into. The reception desk gave me a loan of a plug for the duration of my stay without charge. Probablly the biggest problem was the distance from the city centre. The hotel has a free shuttle bus for the 15 min trip, from 10 to 12 every half hour and from 16.00 to 18.00 every half hour. It had to be booked going to the city but only takes 7 people at a time. It was not bookable returning but only takes the first 7 to turn up. The alternative is to get a taxie card from the hotel which gets you a trip one way for €12.50. I was told it is also possible to walk to the city in 20 minutes. We arrived early and had to wait for a room. The rooms are generally only available after 3.00. They put our cases in a secure lockup until the room was available however. Check out is 11.00.
Positive sides of it: good breakfast, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Negative sides of it: a bit far from the xity center, room temperature is extremely high.. i mean, it's too hot even now on winter time.
I stayed at this hotel with a group of students. It was okay but not truly felt like a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was good. Cleaning satisfactory. The staff was helpful. I agree with some previous reviews on the carpets. There were obvious stains on the carpets, they were too old. The horel is not in the city center. You can get a bus or take a taxi easily or walk for 20-30 minutes. Hotel seems to be preferred mostly for business purposes.
We stayed one night at the hotel and it was nice. Although it looks a bit old, it was very clean and nice. The staff was nice and helpful. The location is not great but if you have a car, it is just fine. I recommend it.
This was my second hotel i stayed during my whole Europe trip. I could say the room the two beds were too small and the room was dark for me. Well it may fit by others though. The service is good and they are welcoming us from the reception. The decoration of the lobby was good as kind of modern design. We had the dinner in the restaurant and ordered the set menu with a beef steak served however it was kind of disappointed. I couldnt even swallow with it as too hard to chew. Most of us just had some bites then juz leave it there. Breakfast was okay.
