this hotel is conveniently located near the vrijthof. The standard rooms are very small with hardly space for more than 1 small suitcase. The wifi worked well in my bedroom but the matras needed replacing and the duvet was far made for cold winters not mild springs/summers. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. Staff were friendly.
We were pleasantly surprised with the great location right in the heart of Maastricht and close to great restaurants and activities. Was also nice that they had parking albeit for an additional 30EUR/night close to the hotel. Even though we "splurged" on the suite, the room was tired and run down, especially the bathroom which was borderline hostel esque, we and others also had a very annoying buzzing sound that kept popping up every few minutes. We understood the rooms had been recently renovated but this was not the case in our room so maybe it will come shortly. Overall to manage expectations it is 3 star. For 3 stars it is good. Will say staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Would consider staying here again.
12 engineers from across Europe - converged on Maastricht - We all stayed in this lovely hotel - breakfast was lovely and quite central to the old town . Well worth a visit if you are from out of town !!
Wonderful hotel, central and a short walk to everywhere. Excellent reception staff, all very helpful Room was large, clean and very comfortable - with all the amenities you expect Highly recommended and already planning a return visit Thank you
Over Mc Donalds in Vrijtof Sq. Entrance at side. Had breakfast in hotel one morning but preferred to eat out. If you want to stay close to Andre Rieu Concert this is ideal. (We stayed out of town one year and couldn't find our way back to bus.)
We stayed two nights, Sunday (Andre Rieu concert) and Monday. One rate was very expensive, as ALL hotels in Maastricht charge for concert nights, and the other night we thought very inexpensive, so overall good. Our room on first floor at the back was very clean, with good size modern bathroom. Very large walk in shower. (Hooray, not over a bath!) We knew from website hotel had no dining facilities, and ate at nearby cafes, all good. Gauchos, around the corner, was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our Maastricht stay, a little hidden gem!!
This was our first stay in the city of Maastricht, and enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel provided a good sized room, overlooking a side street of Het Vrijthof. The staff were friendly, and unobtrusive, the room was left clean. A lift, which could have come from an 1970s James Bond or Peter Sellers movie, brought us to our floor, and added to the atmosphere. For us, the bed was too soft and too low, and it would have been nice, if it was possible to turn off the light in the little hallway, which did come on every time either of us walked past to the bathroom, including during the night. A night light or dimmed light option in the bathroom would have been useful, and less obtrusive than the hall light. One of the chairs in the room was so small, it would have been more suitable to a five year old, than an adult. That said, we enjoyed our stay very much, and are looking forward to another stay in this wonderful city.
We booked this hotel as it’s a stone throw from the square. Sadly our room had no view but if you want a view of the square then ask for 410 or 411. Large air con room, hairdryer, large shower, no fridge sadly. We also had a dodgy sliding glass door which gives little privacy. Lovely clean hotel, great location. Didn’t eat breakfast as it’s 15 euro per head. Instead we ate in the square (1 min walk) for a cheaper but more impressive breakfast. Lots of great shops and things to see/do. We headed out to Château Neercanne for dinner one night which I thoroughly recommend. Lovely break.
We stayed here for 2 weeks for the Andre Rieu concerts, and although all hotels in Maastricht increase their prices at this time this particular hotel is far too expensive for what you get! The location is great and the staff very friendly but that is where the positives stop. 10 days into our stay the sheets still had not been changed until I complained and then it was done. The standard of basic cleaning in the rooms was poor, such as the wash basin not cleaned on a daily basis. The windows did not open and close properly,in fact on arrival the window handle was completely broken and we had to ask for it to be repaired before we could open the window. Although there are bars and restaurants in the area the hotel itself has no bar or restaurant of its own. Also there is no lounge or seating area where you can sit and relax with friends. When they are charging nearly 300 euros a night just for the room the standards and facilities should surely be better. There are other better hotels in Maastricht for the same or less money. I just feel they are taking advantage of the Andre Rieu fans at this time of year.
Stayed at Amrath DuCasque hotel. Very small well situated hotel. Comfortable room but very noisy at night due a bar directly under our window. This hotel is ok for a night or two but there are much nicer hotels if you are prepared to pay more. There are several hotels in the same square. This part of the city is a very good place for tourists to experience Maastricht.
