Nice Hotel with cozy rooms and good restaurant (breakfast and dinner). Friendly personnel. A bit tricky to get there due to road works - actually the whole street in front of the hotel is closed and you need to drive around the block to get into the parking.
Receptionist very helpful. Room spacious and clean. Good bed. Nice shower and a real soaking tub. Excellent breakfast. Convenient location close to public transport and in walking distance of downtown. The free wifi didn't work in the room.
We stayed here from 12/05 till 14/05, our room was 105 and despite the work going on outside the hotel we very pleased with the room. Friday evening we went to the bar and had a lovely time, the barman(Frank) very friendly. Saturday morning by breakfast was extremely noisy and busy as there was some kind of gathering and everyone had to pass through the lobby, where we sat having our breakfast. Breakfast was plentiful but the bacon, sausages, scrambeld eggs were cold. We had dinner on Saturday evening in the restaurant with family. A very enjoyable meal served by Frank, who made us all feel at home. Sunday's breakfast was the same as Saturday, but luckily no crowds attending a gathering but again everything which should have been warm wasn't. The hotel is ideal for seeing Maastricht and we will go back.We were not asked when we were checking out if we had enjoyed our stay.
This is the third time I have stayed in this hotel and each has been poorer than the last. The food services have gone downhill and the room servicing is poor. The cleaners left dirty cups for three days and have not replaced items in the bathroom. The hotel is very convenient to the train station which is useful, but the general service and cleanliness is less than what you would expect of similar hotel chains. Maastricht is full of good quality, inexpensive boutique hotels and that is what I will be doing in the future.
On arrival to the hotel we were greeted by friendly staff on reception. Efficiently we were directed to our room. This was a pleasant surprise. We had a spacious room with a balcony, also had outside table and chairs. Room and hotel was clean and friendly. On our last day we did have breakfast in the hotel. It was good but found it to be on the side of expensive. I would stay here again, good location.
Staff are very charming and helpful but rooms are rather 'faded' and lots of little niggles seem to arise. One night we had no towels, soap dispensers were empty or fell off wall and pillows are terrible, however beds are comfortable. Delux rooms are not very 'delux'. Hotel is well placed for the station and good access for city centre.
Overall not a bad place, location opposite the train station is excellent, rooms were clean and check-in went quick. The whole hotel looks a bit tired and could use a touch up (swimming pool area, room decor and the corridors) the parking which you have to book in advance is the size of a garage for 5 cars in which they place 20 cars, if you're not a good driver better don't risk parking here. Other than that, all okay. Beds were comfortable and room size is decent there is enough space for an extra bed if needed.
Was not satisfied! Bedding was not changed in the 6 days that i stayed there. They didn't take the garbage out for 3 days. Would not stay there again. The staff however were friendly and helped when they could.
Great restaurant staff (can recommend the Dutch Gin and Tonic served here. The room was clean and a decent size and the bathroom newly refurbished with plush towels. I will definitely stay here again.
Visited during the summer, and booked in again when visiting the Christmas markets. Hotel had upgraded us, so we had a suite, which was a lovely surprise, but there were a few small issues in the room, which were rectified as soon as reported. Staff were friendly and helpful, the bar is very accommodating, and the breakfast is good. Will stay again next time we visit Maastricht.
