I ended-up here as nothing else was available. It was expensive ant I did not feel home. Very snobbish clients and the personnel was also not so down to earth. I would not return there. Sorry. i'll search earlier for a place to make sure I have a more fun stay.
Stayed here one night while heading to France. Just across the street from the train station but construction going on so it was a bit of a challenge to get to their parking. Checkin went fast and smooth as all of our stuff was ready. Room was nice, bathroom was big and clean Room had a nice balcony. Breakfast was fantastic.
Conveniently across the street from the main train station, this hotel provides courteous and excellent service. A full breakfast is provided everyday with your stay, free wifi, a very nice swimming pool and immediate access to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. I would definitely stay there again!
We managed to get an upper level room that had a mezzaine level and staircase up to the bedroom and bathroom, we were most impressed! The lounge area at the bottom of the stairs was huge and well appointed with lovely leather lounges. We could not fault the room, everything we needed as there and the bed was most comfortable. It is a short walk to the river and around 10 mins to walk to the other side of town. In addition, we found a great laundry to wash and dry our clothes just 5 minutes away (the other side of the railway station) and it included a cafe so we could have breakfast whilst our clothes were washed. The breakfast options in the buffet at this hotel were outstanding and we were most happy with the customer service as well.
A nice hotel on a good location near the railway station. Excellent service from the reception, making you feel welcome after a long journey. Also the swimming pool is very nice. the location in the city is wonderful, the rooms are quiet.
This hotel was quite expensive for what it offers. The standard is really low compared to other 4 stars in the Netherlands so I would be very careful with this one. Things that were not up to 4-star standards: breakfast cleanliness building facilities The hotel needs a renovation and needs to freshen up in order to apply for a 4-star status. There is no water in the room for guests at least upon check in. The bathtub had mold. Overall it needs work. I do not recommend this hotel in its current state.
Booked hotel as it was close to the station as we were arriving from Bruges and departing to Amsterdam. We were there for a Friday & Saturday night. Possibly the reason we were given a corner room. Wonderful large and airy room with windows down 2 sides. Even for 2 seniors the hotel was close enough to the old town for us to walk everywhere.
Although the name of the hotel ("Imperial Grand Hotel") promises more than the hotel offers, we had a good stay in a spacious room with a little bit cramped shower room. Everything is clean, but carpets and walls are showing some wear and tear. Breakfast is not included (I hate that trend) and relatively costly, so we chose to organise breakfast of our own. The price of the room was quite reasonable.
Spontanous weekend at Maastricht; not many hotelrooms available any more but hey! Hotel l'Empereur still has a room to let. Not exactly a bargain, but then again, this is a classy hotel isn't it? Well.... it isn't. Starting with getting there; thanks to the building activities in front of the hotel both navigation systems we had aboard screwed up. Would have been nice to bring this to our attention while/after booking the room..... As would be to mention the blind wall that would become our view for the next days, the tiny size of the room or the noisy airco's outside when you open the window. And then there was the breakfast; please don't even try the orange juice. It comes straight from the sink after washing last evenings plates. Nothing to do with oranges anyway. A coffee machine was out of order resulting in a ten minute waiting line for coffee, they ran out out of bread, buns and jelly and clearing tables was apparently not in the staffs job description... And then there's of course the iniviteble frontdesk clown; well... they got one. Complete with professional crocadile 'I-smile-but-I-really-don't-give-a-sh.t" smile on her face. Positive experience: Housekeeping (put them at the front desk!). And the hotel is pretty close to the centre and connected to it by a nice shopping street. My advice: train or replace your staff, use fresh products instead of this dilluted stuff and inform your guests better to prevent disappointments.
This is a great hotel we traveled there for the concert , and booked it a s a complete package , our room was on the 2 floor and was big and comfortable well cleaned and comfortable bed the hotel is central and just opposite railway station , has limited parking but is expensive for parking overall medium value , only off was we had a package meal which was not great , but breakfast was great
