We have stayed here 4 times now, bringing tourists from Australia. I have always found the hotel to be great, fantastic breakfast and the best pool. This year we found we had to go to the Winter Palace for breakfast which was a nice treat, however one morning I picked up a jug of juice and the jug shattered in my hand, cutting my hand in 3 places. There was juice everywhere, all over my clothes as well as a substantial amount of blood on the floor, counter and on the napkin I grabbed to stem the flow of blood. What surprised me was the staff knew this happened and not one came to see if I needed assistance or how badly I had been cut. Even after leaving the restaurant to administer first aid, change clothing and clean up no one asked my husband (who stayed behind to finish his breakfast) if I was ok or how bad my injuries were. I would stay here again but warn everyone about handling the glass juice jugs, they are deadly!

After getting off the cruise we wanted to spend one more day at Luxor and we happened to book this hotel. It was a huge pleasant surprise! What amazing property. The building, the rooms, gardens, swimming pools, the staff........all are good!

located next to Luxor temple, this hotel has classical interior and exteriors. sofitel and pavilion hotel shares the garden and pool. and they were very nice. the pool was warm even though it was a winter season. the breakfast was not good enough, but you can have it near the garden. this hotel has no bar, but the sofital, next to this hotel has a terras bar overlooking the river Nile.

We chose to stay here instead of the Winter Palace with our daughter. The two hotels share grounds and it was lovely to walk around the garden which is spectacular and to use the pool. We actually preferred the decoration of this hotel to the winter palace since it seemed less overly formal and much more comfortable.

This historic hotel comfortably accommodates your whole family and will do anything to make you happy. We had a toddler and ordered room service every day (which is delicious and affordable). They always brought us fresh cold milk (even in 100 degree weather) and cooed over the baby each time. Breakfast buffet is wonderful with fresh pastries and custom made omelets. Very loving smiley people at the Winter Pavillon. We would stay again!

We had three nights accommodation here before starting a Nile cruise with Voyages Jules Verne. We had a large twin bedded room overlooking the garden and the main Winter Palace Hotel. It was well furnished, very clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. We enjoyed the gardens and sitting on the front terrace and near to the pool, as well as having two meals in the Winter Palace. It is very conveniently situated for the temple of Luxor, the museum and the Nile. A beautiful experience.

We stayed at the Winter Palace Pavillon, and had a great time. The room was nice and large and very clean and well kept. The manager of the restaurant where we had breakfast Mr Mohamed Altyb and all his staff where excellent, always willing to help and greeted us every morning with a ready smile. Mr Mahmoud Nour was also very helpful at the front desk with everything from wakeup calls to airport transfers. Miss Wessam Farah at guest relations was as always extremely polite and helpful. The hotel gardens are truly a wonder and oasis of calm in the middle of a busy city and I believe the pool is probably one of the largest in Luxor. The Pavillon shares the pool and gardens with the main Winter Palace, this also gives you access to the Winter Palace's Terrace which is a perfect place to enjoy a cool drink in the evening and watch the spectacular sunset's over the West bank of the Nile.

I have stayed five nights at the Pavillon Hotel and here are my + and -: + - Location: perfect, next to the Luxor and Karnak temples. You can also visit the Winter Palace by Sofitel and have an afternoon tea there. - The breakfast staff. The most welcoming and friendly - Security check point at the entrance of the hotel. - ATM inside of the hotel (though it wasn't working during my stay...) - The garden is beautiful - - Service in general could be more pro-active. For exemple, my tv didn't work and someone came to my room to check it. He couldn't fix it and said someone would come later but never came. I had to ask again the reception. I know that tv is not the most important part when you travel, but for a woman alone it can be a good distraction at night. - Same pro-activity problem from the housekeeping service. I had to call to get toilet paper and they never took off the old roll. They could also refill the shampoo/shower samples. The minibar was not clean. I think the last guest used it to store a sandwich and I could see some pieces of bread left... - Internet was really slow. Even the internet at the airport was better - My room smelled humidity - But the worst part for me was no courtesy water (you only get one on your first night). I mean we are in Egypt and it was 42 degrees outside. They charge 3 times the price of a regular bottle. I always travel to ME and that's the first time I got no courtesy water... Those - can be easily improved. Staff just need a little bit of training and I think the hotel should re-think the water service. I give a 3* because it's under Accor Sofitel management so I was expecting better.

Unlike its Grand father the real Winter Palace, the Pavillion which is way younger shows signs of distress in rooms, walkways, corridors. Carpets need to be replaced in rooms and corridors, a/c ducts are very dusty, furniture in room needs cleaning or replacement. rooms are big, pool is nice but pool side furniture needs upkeep. gardens are meticulously manicured. staff was ok. security was ok and friendly. other facilities in Luxor would have been preferable. Breakfast buffet large choices. Sofitel can do better

Excellent hotel, top class service. The Gardens of Winter Palace is spectacular, the hotel is very clean, the food was lovely. Great location. We enjoyed our stay here. Looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!
