Barbara and Glenn are new to the game and have some very nice rooms with attached bathrooms. They are clean and more spacious than they appear online. It was a nice surprise. Close proximity to the main intersection but far enough off the strip to be quiet. Breakfast was excellent!!! I would recommend some yard clean up as the initial first glimpse doesn't instill a lot of excitement

We rolled into Mahone Bay late on a Saturday evening with no reservations. We drove past the Red Mahone Bed & Breakfast and noticed a vacant sign. We walked in and spoke with Barbara, the very sweet owner, who told us they had one room left. We told her we'd take it, sight unseen. She walked us up to our room and we loved it. It was homey and comfy. The bed was firm yet fluffy. The pillows were great as well. We loved the shower and the bath products. The next morning, Barbara had an amazing breakfast prepared for us. We loved it here! Sorry our trip wasn't longer. I would definitely recommend the staying here.

My one night stay was an impromptu visit as I wanted to get settled in the Mahone Bay area before the storm arrived. I’m so glad I stayed at Red Mahone. It’s a beautiful old house and the hosts - Barbara and Glenn are so welcoming and friendly. I stayed in ‘Maggie’s Room’ and the bed was huge and so comfortable. The bed linen was lovely and I could happily have stayed for longer, but I’d already booked elsewhere. The breakfast was delicious and there was water and coffee available on the landing outside the room. As a solo traveller who likes a natter it was so nice to get to chat. I hope the B&B continues to flourish and I hope to be back one day.

Beautiful, gorgeous B&B, myself and daughter had a fabulous stay at the Red Mahone, we wish we could have stayed longer but they were fully booked ! Testament to their great service & wonderful surroundings.I would highly recommend. The hosts, Glen & Barbara made us feel so welcome & gave us lots of tips of where to visit, get the best photos etc, really cant praise them highly enough.

Barbara welcomed us with a smile [even with being a bit late]. The room and en suite were inviting and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the company was interesting. The location was in close proximity of town, easily accessible by foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Lovely older home which retains original character with modern amenities ( soaker tub, king beds). Linens are fresh and clean, delicious breakfast and hosts very accommodating. Excellent example of the best of Nova Scotia

We happened on this gorgeous B&B while on a day trip from Halifax and decided on the spot to inquire about availability later in the week. And so Red Mahone became our retreat and the last and best place we stayed during our week-long visit to the Maritimes. Barbara and Glenn are wonderful hosts and made us feel immediately at home. The house and grounds are beautiful, the breakfast was perfect (including a chocolate-filled French pastry that is not to be resisted, even if coffee-only is the norm at home!), and the room was just lovely. We stayed in the Maggie, which is large and so comfortably furnished, with a huge antique armoire offering lots of storage, a TV, and two cozy chairs set next to an electric fireplace. And the ensuite bathroom is large and bright - and also offers lots of room to store toiletries and such. Complimentary chocolates in the room and coffee and cold drinks on the landing just outside the room are much-appreciated extras. We loved this B&B and the town of Mahone Bay as well, and we look forward to coming back!
