Not so close to the beach and wished the beach would have been a little calmer but that was not your fault.

The website picture were deceiving. The hotel does not look like on the picture. It is a small property. This property does not offer entertainment. It is boring and their room looks like a motel not a hotel. The pool is small and not clean. Everybody ordered food in the pool and once they finished goes straight to the pool without washing. Their food taste great. They are under staff so you can not expect great service. I will say that this property is 2 star hotel. It was the worst experience ever!!!!! I booked this property because the price was reasonable and the image on the web looked nice and clean. But it is all deceiving!!! The front desk lobby is tiny nowhere to seat. Please don’t book your trip here!! Will never recommend this property to anyone!!!

Although some of the staff puts all their heart into it. There is no standard or quality check. And that goes for the room cleaning to the restaurants. We were ther for some time ate at the grill restaurant 3 times, ordered the same things and every time it looked and tasted different. No consistency. At some point we thought that they changed the chef every night. That’s was not the case. Day care girls were great. They went out of their way to keep them busy. Our girls loved them.

When researching about this hotel found many bad reviews from people that seemed honest. But decided not to trust them and just go for it and save some bucks -anyway the pictures seem great right?... wrong! Very deceiving. 50% of the rooms are located in another building. The personal even have transportation to to take you to those buildings since they are not close to the main facilities and if you ask as we did to move hs closer to the pool or at least to the main attractions they said fine but you need to pay 50 more dollars per day. The restaurants: you MUST RESERVE, even if they are 50% capacity, they won’t let you in without giving you a hard time. We learned and we reserved. The food quality was very poor and the buffet ended up being the best place to eat and hangout (non of their restaurants have a/c or proper ventilation so will be hot) What I learned is that never again I will try to save a few dollars for a vacation. This time it was ruined for 2,maybe 2.5 star hotel.

Service was hit and miss. Food was good. Nice view. Get a beachfront room with a private little pool! It is very cool.

Hotel was great not crowded and staff was super attentive. I had to call for minibar refill as it didn’t get refilled daily and drinks were hot when they came to the room but that was small in comparison to the entire stay.

All of the restaurants in the Resort were excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Especially Serjay at the pool bar, Randu at the buffet and Manuel at the lobby bar. The only thing missing in this resort is the entertainment. There no daily activities planed and there was no good music.

I did a lot of research regarding hotels in San Jose Del Cabo as I wanted to stay near a few of the surf spots. So Krystal Grand was the perfect location as it's 500 yards from Zippers. I was a bit skeptical about how much they offered for such a low price tag, but it was confirmed from my stay that everything offered was true. I gave this resort a 5 star rating because the pool area is great for kids and adults with 3 separate pools, plus the kids pool. In fact, the pool was better than any luxury hotel I've stayed at that was much more expensive. The food is very good as the Japanese Teppan and a la carte options were great. I'd say that The Grill was average, Mexican above average, and buffets above average with a variety of food including fresh fruit. In fact, everything tasted super fresh, even the sushi. Maybe the Italian was average at best because the pasta and pizza just wasn't that great, but fresh food nonetheless. The beer they offer was Tecate or Tecate light only, but it was part of the all inclusive, even wines from Ensenada that we enjoyed. My 5 year old son was in heaven the entire trip as they even had a lunch buffet outside with ice cream bar, plus a kids hang out with tons of kids to play with. So even though this is not a plush luxury 5 star resort, it was more than comfortable and I prefer this style. And with hourly activities by the pool and surf close by, I think my entire family got plenty of everything we needed. The deli was great too.

Great views from room and beautiful hotel. Just found lots of noise coming from the main highway which interrupted with our sleep but other then that, all was well.

We stayed 4 days and 3 nights at this hotel. Room phone was not working—discovered that because we wanted to call the extension for the Spa. We went down to the concierge, did not address the phone issue, rather told us to go to the Spa. The directory says it is open until 5:30pm. At the Spa entrance it says open until 8pm. We were there 4pm and the place was dark and no one at the front desk. You are on your own to figure out how and where to get some snacks. They are more concerned on getting you an invite which eventually leads to time share offers than giving an orientation about your stay at the hotel. On the morning we are leaving for the airport, we were not able to have breakfast because they said they had water problems and we have to wait half an hour OR they said we can grab some food served from another area of the hotel that we cannot even locate...until we eventually gave up looking for and our shuttle service for hotel pickup to airport already arrived. Also, food was just fairly decent. If there is anything we can give credit for, it is that the hotel servers are friendly and hardworking. But overall, sad to say, we find this hotel not recommendable.

Orbitz should notify customers of unusual activity at hotels. Room service When we first arrived into our rooms, we checked the bed. There was blood and unknown stains on sheets, possibly body fluids. We immediately called to change bedding, called at 3pm, by 10pm no one has came to change the bedding. And after repeated calls, they finally came at night. After this incident, the rest of the night seem normal. Shower The warm and hot water never worked in our shower. We notified the front desk staff about this 2 days into our trip in the morning. Since we were heading out for the day, I told the front desk the service people can go in and fix it. When we got back to our room, there was no explanation whether it was fixed or not, and when we checked it was still not fixed. Noise The location is close to highway, noisy from almost any of the rooms you stay in. One of the nights there was some really loud club/festival like music playing from somewhere maybe next door until 2am and you can hear it from my room with all windows and doors shut. I could not sleep. Bathrooms There is a sewage problem that they did not inform customers about, and in the public bathrooms by their Italian Restaurant the soap dispenser was not refilled so there is no soap to wash hands after going to the bathroom, and it smelled like the sewer. They really should post a sign for people to not use this bathroom if it is not ready. Event/Restaurant Staff Everyone we met was amazingly professional

I read some of the negative reviews on here, and lots were related to the fact that Krystal Grand is a fairly new hotel. They are done with construction, and have worked out all of the kinks. The hotel was spectacular, the beach was incredible and the hotel staff were better than I’ve ever experienced before. The buffet was quite good, and all of the on site restaurants were very tasty with great service and attentiveness. The bars poured strong drinks for me, and fresh/fruity cocktails for my wife. My family of 9 just returned home from a week at Krystal Grand and we wish we could stay there forever.

Krystal usually buys older properties built by others and converts them to their brand. Folks in Mexico are well familiar with Krystal hotels. If I was looking for a place in Cabo, I would pass on this hotel. Though the location is good, there are two fundamental problems. Firstly, the management seems to be weak and missing in action. The folks at the front desk would not even give me the name of the manager. The relatively underpaid employees try to keep it together mostly looking for tips from customers. The second issue is that compared to other similar resort hotels in Cabo area, this hotel does not have its own water treatment. This means that all the water used including for bathing and washing of dishes is local municipal water. This could be an issue for foreign visitors that are not used to the local water. The water quality and it's safety can vary. Many other better options are available even if you have to pay a little more.

Great family hotel. Our two boys loved the kid water area. Food was average good. The nearby beach waves were too big to enjoy. There is a busy street and huge fans that are not pleasing to hear, but it didn't bother us. Definitely enjoyed our stay there.

We booked to stay at the krystal and it was my first time at an all inclusive. We were shopping many places and just checking prices, when we choose the Krystal and booked I never thought to change from 1 guess to 2 as the price was the same either way ( actually when and verified it and show the hotel this as well) however when you check it in, it is quite important. The charge $100 a day per person so since the reservation was for 1 my wife cost $400 extra and the reservation was $750 so it was quite a large upcharge for an honest mistake. Also out rooms where right next to 4 giant fans that are right out side the room blowing all the time and very loud. The amount of water coming off them had our walkway to the room soaked 24/7. We had a good time but wouldnt stay there again due to serveral issues and them not willing to work with us so just be aware when booking.

Overall this new(er) hotel is really great. Our room was very clean, spacious and offered a great view. A few negatives: 1. Lots and lots of children...it would have been nice to have an adult only pool since there were children screaming, jumping all over the lounge furniture and jumping into the pool non-stop. Our room was right in front of the small little kid play area and it didn't get quiet until 9:30pm/10:00pm. 2. Food/Restaurant offerings are very limited. The buffet did offer a variety however the quality was hit or miss. The chips were hard, stale and lacked flavor. Ayami - the reservation only restaurant on premise was fantastic! We wish we could have made reservations there every night. The café next to Ayami was also great for a morning frappe! 3. No night life...there was supposed to be live music in the lobby one of the nights and it never happened. Karaoke was scheduled another night and it was ALL children. It would be nice to have an adult only night life setting...maybe on the roof top restaurant near the buffet? The staff was fantastic and very helpful! There were a few that didn't understand English which made it very difficult to order just a water. I don't think I'd personally return but I will recommend to others.

We had an issue with our passports upon trying to return home from Mexico and Krystal grand was the only place available to book in our area While we were sorting things out. For over $270 a night, we would have been better off saving our money, as the treatment we received was no better than a motel. We purposefully bought all inclusive, as my boyfriend eats a lot and we wanted the convenience. Room service charges 8$ delivery fee per order. Food arrives an hour and a half later freezing cold and wet from condensation under the Saran Wrap. No matter what time of day or night, we ate ice cold food. One Time we called in to room service they told us we were ordering "too much food" for two people and they would not bring us what we wanted. we also called into room service one morning about 30 minutes before breakfast and were hung up on by staff twice, obviously not wanting to make another order before they closed. When waters were requested, we were told that we can't have more than one per person, even on our all inclusive. We do not drink alcohol, so you can imagine the frustration of not being given extra water when there seems to be no problem passing out shots to other guests. Food is mainly buffet style reminiscent of a cruise ship and is so horrible that I got sick one of the nights. Hundreds of flies are swarming the food as well as your table as you eat. There isn't enough Space in this review to share my entire horrible experience, but RUN from this resort.

i should have trusted the bad reviews
